Kick-off: 19:45pm BSTFair enough beating Spurs but can we do it on a dry and dull Friday night at Villa Park?Gestede vs Blind will be fun to watch.Friday night game, should be fun!Friday night means we have extra time to prepare for the Champo League qualifier, which is good.
Is that why we have Friday fixtures now? To help teams playing on a Tuesday or is it purely for TV reasons?Friday night kickoff, definitely looking forward to this one.
EDL are coming to Birmingham on Saturday apparently...
From next season we'd have league games on Friday though.Going with the exact same lineup as the Spurs game for this one.

It's to do with a protest march on the Saturday in Birmingham, the police requested that the fixture be switched to avoid clashes and potential trouble.4:45 saturday moring kickoff for me.

Don't think we'll see any changes in the starting 11 for our premier league games until after the international break, as it will take a bit to get Schweinsteiger up to speed and for herrera to break back in the team. Pedro if we get him won't be starting from day 1 probably either, though that depends on when we sign him.

Ah thanks. I was getting confused with next season's Friday night matches.These are games we didn't win last year. We need to get results in them this time to push up the league. I fancy we will have too much in midfield and they don't have enough to hurt us at the back. 2-1 United.Getting 3 points is all that matters in the first 5 games or so personally. Ideally showing some sort of quality but getting into a winning rhythm will only ease the pressure off the lads.
Villa is always a tricky place to go these days but hopefully we'll click a lot more against them. Expecting same eleven. Be interesting how he juggles the squad with the CL qualifer.
Friday game so he has to start the Villa game with the as good ad we've got, especially as the first CL leg is at home.
Hopefully get a couple up and then withdraw Rooney, Memphis, and Schweinstegier, the back up for those guys can do a perfectly good job.The CL qualifier is arguably the most important game of LVG's Man Utd career, so far. We can't afford to mess up, so I think on Friday, we may see some changes or early subs. I suspect that we shall see our absolute strongest team player in the CL game.
We do have a big squad, so in theory, we should be able to do some squad rotation without too much difficulty.
The big issue with this game is that last season, we could not break down teams who parked the bus and I feel that Villa will park the bus (PTB) and hit us on the break.
So, it will tell us if we are still struggling (against the PTB tactic).
My gut tells me that we cannot score more than 1 goal in a game, so I think it will be 1-0 (to us) or a draw (0-0 or 1-1). I think it will be a very boring game, but I hope I am wrong.
I too. I would love to have Friday, 3 Satruday, 2 Sunday and 1 Monday game every week
