Swansea City AFC nicknamed The Swans, or The Jacks (the reason behind the latter is unclear, but there are two possible origins: one is the reputation of local seamen "Jack Tars" in the early 19th Century, while the other is the black retriever dog called Swansea Jack who rescued no fewer than 27 people from drowning in the River Tawe and Swansea Docks during the 1930s) are a Welsh professional football club based in Swansea, Wales; and were founded in 1912 as Swansea Town. In 2011 Swansea City became the first Welsh football club to gain promotion to the Premier League, and have since built a firm reputation as one of the most attack minded clubs in the league professing an attractive brand of football, starting with now Everton manager Roberto Martinez in League One, a tradition that continues to the present day under Garry Monk.

Nailed it, providing we don't make any new signings and injuries don't prevent it that should 100% be our first 11 this season.

Will be a very hard game, Swansea are looking real tidy right now. Surely by this time the De Gea shit will be sorted??

Love that LVG remembers these guys took 6 points off us last year and we need to fix that. Hope he has the team ready for a fight - it's going to be just that.

Big game for us against a decent side.

Get a good result here before the International break and we've had a excellent start.

One game and suddenly Rooney's in everyone's "hope" sides now :wenger:

Should be a tough match. Swansea have done well so far. Smalling vs Gomis and Darmian vs Montero. We win those battles and our attack should hopefully do the deed.

Toughest test so far. Will threaten our high line with their pace. They've assembled a very good side: Gomis, Montero, Ayew, Sigurdsson, Shelvey all talented players and pose a variety of dangers.

Worries me somewhat that the only United players to score at Swansea are Herrera and Hernandez and Swansea have won 3 of the last 4 meetings, they're somewhat of a bogey team

They were always a pretty difficult team for us to beat since they got promoted.

Hilariously enough the only time we beat them convincingly was Moyes' 4-1 away win at the start of the 2013/14 season.

Evra scored a header there one year, we won 4-1 there aswell at one point.

After their double against us, I'd be very surprised if we were to be beaten again this time.

3-1 United. Rooney, Schweinsteiger, Smalling; Gomis

I hope we destroy them. They've taken points from us too many times recently. It will probably be a difficult game, but I will be very confident of a win if we play

Don't worry, Fellaini scored there for Everton.

Gonna copy a few others in here and go with same back 4, Schmidfield, Herrera at No.10, Mata and Memphis out wide and Rooney up top.

I hope lessons were learned from last year, Swansea are a dangerous opponent so I hope we can get an early goal, control possession take the sting out of the game then slowly pick them off.

Swansea wont try to defend. Which will suit us. Lots of space on the counter Rooney and Depay to use up.

Seems to alternate Carrick and Schweini so I am going with Schweini to start with Schneiderlin

With Adnan having a possible injury, think Herrera will get a game.

    The rest the same.

Please don't start Januzaj as a 10, Louis. Against a good footballing side like Swansea, we're going to need numbers in midfield if we want to boss the game.

Yep, this for sure. In my mind this is the most straightforward line-up to pick of the season so far.

Carrick's struggled for three games now, and each time Schweinsteiger's come in, we've noticeably improved. Herrera had difficulty in a midfield two but was superb as the point of a triangle, and this time Januzaj doesn't deserve to keep his place. So Carrick should get a rest, Schneiderlin should come back in to partner Bastian, and Herrera should play ahead of them.
