Manchester City Football Club nicknamed City, The Citizens, and The Sky Blues, are a professional football club based in Manchester, England; and were founded in 1880 as St. Mark's (West Gorton), before being renamed as Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887, and finally Manchester City in 1894. Prior to the takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the club had enjoyed moderate levels of success through their history - winning the League in 1936 and 1937, to go with 4 FA Cups, 2 League Cups, and 1 Cup Winners' Cup. However, since the beginning of the current decade, City have been buoyed by the signings of Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Pablo Zabaleta, Vincent Kompany; and have emerged as perpetual title contenders - winning the league twice and repeatedly finishing in the Top 3. City play their homes games at the Etihad Stadium, and share a local rivalry with neighbors and opponents for the game, Manchester United.

Same team vs Everton. Be a different game to the one tonight. City won't park the bus like Moscow. Think we'll smash them.

    Onwards and Upwards.

At least Darmian and Mata should be nice and fresh.

We won't feck this up like we did Arsenal and they won't feck up like they did here last season. I think it will be a tight game but we can win this.

Is Silva and Aguero still out?

    Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger
    Mata Herrera Rooney
    Martial
Please play martial up front. We need that pace up top. Midfield 3 needs to stay the same. Blind in for Rojo at left back, Rooney will always play so put him out on the wing as he is a good crosser of the ball and works hard defensively. Ideally Young would play there but he's out injured. Doubt Memphis will come in. So Rooney it is.

Hopefully we put in a performance closer to the Everton one then today or Arsenal, and if we do, then we'll win. City are decent, but nothing special without Aguero, especially not without both him and Silva. They're no better then we are if you take Aguero out, and at Old Trafford we should be getting the win.

Aguero is a huge miss for them

He's the best player out of the two sides and one of the best big game players in the world

    Yaya? Kompany?
Yaya aint what he used to be and Kompany only scores from corners which they wont get cause we are going to pass it around and not do anything for 90 mins. ;)

They simply are a better team. Not expecting an upset.

I would love it, absolutely love it, if for once we benched Rooney and see how well we attacked without his poor touch & lack of pace hampering us in the final third.

The following team could be a good option:

    DDG

    Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Blind

    Schneiderlin, Carrick, Herrera

    Mata, Martial, Memphis

Sadly, this will never happen as de kaptain mush alwaysch play. It is a proschesch and dey must follow my pheelosophee.

Without Silva and Agüero the difference is not so obvious. If we had Shaw, the gap would be even smaller.

I'd still take a draw, mind you.

For those who did so - explain Carrick instead of Basti please (assuming tonight sub was tactical, not due injury).

We don't have problems against the big teams, and especially those who will try to play. Think some read too much into the Arsenal game, as long as we don't start like we did at the Emirates, we should win this game.

If you offered me a draw now, I would bite your hand off.

Aguero and Silva are out. If we're ever going to win, it is now.

I am not positive, City is looking great, fast attacking and even if they miss Aguero and Silva, KDB, Sterling and Bony are creating things.
On the other hand we are boring, lacking that x factor in attack and play Rooney who is no where good enough for our first team.

    I think we will lose.

If we want to win the title, we shouldn't be settling for a draw.

Only cos Rooney has to play (otherwise id replace him with Fellaini or Young, if fit). But that would be the team id go with.

We need a quick start and I think we need to score first.

Vital. If we give them an early start, it could get ugly.

Back to the team that beat Everton.

Biggest game of the season so far and victory here will give us a lot of confidence. Think it will be a score draw though. 2-2.

Rooney in centre forward will be painful to watch. No doubt the pundits will say he's 'starved of service' rather than criticising his non existent movement.

He's stealing that position from Martial.

Would not be that worried if not for the signing of KDB. He makes the difference when others aren't effective and really bolters that squad to a new level and will help them in Europe. I bet they wish he was there for Juve.

We'll certainly have our hands full. We can win but we need all 11 players at it and making our chances count. We can't have Rooney and Memphis playing poorly.

If Rooney starts upfront, we are fecked. But we don't have a choice, he will start upfront anyway.

Navas will start out right for them and Blind will struggle with his pace, Rojo at LB for this

Also, Any word on Ashley Youngs fitness?
