Yeah the 28 goals is a bit deceiving. In the Belgium league they start with half their goal count from the previous season, rounded up to the nearest integer.
    wait.. what? Why?

Is he not that good? Says he's got 28 goals.
He misses much more than he scores.

I watch him for Poland. Hes just bad. Dont worry about him.

Should be an easy game for us. Hopefully we wrap the tie up in the 1st leg by scoring a few away goals and not concede any stupid goals. Then we can rest key players and take it easy at OT in the 2nd leg. Going for a 3-0 win.

Why is Sean Goss still listed on here in our squad line-up? Didn't we sell him to QPR in January?

Are you serious? Why is the Belgian league so weird?

    Team should be...

    -------------De Gea-------------
    Valencia--Bailly--Rojo--Shaw
    -------------Carrick-------------
    ------Herrera------Pogba------
    Mkhitaryan-------------Martial
    -------------Zlatan-------------

Subs: Romero, Darmian, TFM, Blind, Fellaini, Lingard, Rashford

Anyone know why their league season has only just started?
Solid team - would have this tie wrapped up I reckon.

I don't think we will be playing both Shaw and valencia for now. even though we technically play a back 4 when valencia plays. and we are in possession we play 3 at the back with valencia playing as a wing back. We did similar on Sunday but the other way around where Darmian stayed back while Luke was given a license to play fwd. having both valencia and Shaw playing high up the pitch won't give us much balance right now.

    __________Romero_________
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Darmian
    ____Herrera pogba fellaini___
    __Lingard Zlatan Mkhitaryan__

Teodorczyk (AND) won't start the game, will be on the bench. Didn't train today.

Contrarily to what certain people here said, I rate him. I see him ending up at a mid table team in England/Germany next season.

No chance. We're taking this competition seriously.

Also, check out the articles this morning. His people have briefed that he doesn't expect to play much this season.

The more you learn. Never heard of that system before, just that they have playoffs.
Their Europa League qualification tourney is bizarre. Three teams from the second tier are included, but not the one that is getting promoted to the top tier. Add a load of mid-table top division teams and they all play a mini-cup for a 3rd Qualifying Round berth only.

Second tier is even weirder. Team that got the most points in second division this season didn't even get a chance for promotion. Was decided by a play-off between the team that got the most points in the first half of the season and the team with the most points in the second half. Apparently consistency doesn't matter anymore.

Play-off system in the first division should be changed in the future. Was designed to improve the quality of Belgian top teams (and get more TV-money) but in reality it punishes the teams that progress in the Europa League. You can understand English teams choosing their domestic league over the EL, but when a Belgian team is tempted to prioritize their league over the EL, you know something has to change.

Rooney hasn't travelled. Assessed after training with rest of team this morning and decided he wasn't fit enough to make squad #mufc

I'm starting to forget that Rooney is still a part of the squad . He seems plays one game from month to month .

Can't believe he's injured all these time . I think Jose just reached the same conclusion the fans have reached on him long ago .

Pretty much agree with you, but you have to acknowledge performances in Europe have approved recent years. Let the top 6 play each other more often seems to have an effect on team performances.

I just got tickets for this game!!!! Somehow my girlfriend got hold of tickets for this and she will actually see Man United live for the first time. She's not into football at all, but she's super excited about it. Somehow even moreso than I am.

Super excited about this match. If we can get two away goals it will be good.

Rooney won't be starting any important games for us now.
If there are any "nothing" games, he may start those, but even then I think he'll be either on the bench, injured, ill or unavailable.
Rooney is finished @ MUFC. His only chance is if LVG returns, in which case, he'll start every game, even when he doesn't score any goals.

We'll find it difficult tonight. Anderlecht will be so motivated, and we're not playing very well lately.

Mourinho said yesterday that we have two legs and we can "fix" it at Old Trafford next Thursday and knowing the guy, he'll look for a draw at Brussel.

It'll the worst thing to do.

He doesn't have to play safe, play 4-4-2, with Ibra, Martial, Mkhi and Lingard tonight. Play for all tonight, win and it'll be okay.

I really think that the best way to prepare for Chelsea is playing a top game tonight, winning and knowing that we can qualify from this point
