I make us favourites which sounds odd when you look at the table. Can see goals too.

It’s a funny one though because it’s third in the priority list behind moving up the league and Europa (priority) this season and we won it last season.

Feee hit, have a go and another game under the new system is good.

    1-2 win

Honestly all I want to see is us carry on what we did at Anfield and use that as a platform. If we lose we lose but playing well and as a team is so so important. I'm hoping for Amorim to stick with the team he has been playing. We need a consistent first 11, although I'd be tempted to give Zirkzee another go.

Play like we did at Liverpool and we will win this.

Play like we did at Liverpool and we will be assured it wasn't a fluke.

Play like we did at Liverpool and we will have turned the corner.....finally.

If you think we are favourites here, give your head a wobble. The in form striker in the league is why Newcastle beat them, we don’t have anything close to Isak in terms of worrying that Arsenal backline. They are still massive favourites.

Newcastle just won here so there not unbeatable. Play like we did against Liverpool and we’ll probably win. Arsenal are drifting off slightly too.

I said earlier in the thread that Amorim would stick to his policy of rotation but looking at the players that didn't start v Liverpool, it's become evident that outside 1 or 2 players, there's a big drop off when we move away from the first XI.

Yoro and Garnacho may start, but if he also starts say Casemiro, Eriksen, Zirkzee, Antony etc, it will give more first choice players a rest but will give us very little chance of winning!

Depends what his priority is, winning in the FA Cup or keeping players fresh for the league, won't know until we see the line up!

Arsenal matches just don't give me stomach jitters the same way Pool and City games do. I'm feeling more positively about this match than is rational

Saka always torments us so him being out will be big for us. I still think we don't have the attack to break them down so expecting a 1-0 loss but whatever the result I hope we put up a fight and turn up.

    I wish that were true.

Without Saka and even Nwaneri their attack is a little toothless (like ours) but as others have said they’re still a massive and well drilled side who have home advantage.

I think (hope) we’ll give them a lot less respect than we did when we played them in the league — whilst we stifled their open play progress well we didn’t really create anything ourselves. I think we need to be a bit less risk averse which I think we will be if we play similar to how we showed up for the Liverpool game.

Don't really care this season, don't mind losing. Less games the better, and just concentrate on the league and Europa League (backdoor to CL maybe, who knows)

Berry Berry Shrew indeed. Electrifying situation.

Im expecting a routine win for Arsenal but i thought that v Liverpool. Be nice if we turn up again.

Am I right in thinking we've not won at the Emirates this decade? Think our last win there was incidentally in the FA Cup during Ole's amazing start. Hopefully same happens again.

    Yep spot on.

That was a cracking game in 2019 - Friday night and with Lingard dancing on the pitch.

    Halcyon days.

Is that the game DDG was unreal? Or different outing

Amorim just confirmed that Altay will start on Sunday so time for him to redeem himself after the spurs debacle.

Think it will be very very difficult as even if Arsenal are without their best player, I suppose that they will still have the edge over us.

I would play a strong team anyway.

    What could possibly go wrong
Garnacho dyes his hair so blonde he turns into Mister Negative. His evil side comes out the moment the ref blows the whistle, he gets sent off instantly for wielding a sword but refuses to leave the pitch and the Emirates turns into a frantic battle scene as people flee for their lives. Arsenal sue United to cover the costs of the damage to the stadium as their insurance doesn't cover super-villain related incidents. This bankrupts the club and rather than sell, the Glazers just liquidate the whole thing.

Well I didn't think of that, you have me convinced
