He’s banned iirc. Both legs.Is he definitely missing it? He's back in training so might make it.
Nah he's banned for 3 games for being sent off against Porto, so he'll miss both fixtures against us.Is he definitely missing it? He's back in training so might make it.

Awesome, happy days then!Nah he's banned for 3 games for being sent off against Porto, so he'll miss both fixtures against us.
I’d like to see this lineup.Ronaldo
Pogba Bruno Sancho
Fred Mct
Shaw Maguire Varane Dalot

We are not nearly as bad as some people are suggesting. 18 games since Ole got sacked. 10 wins, 7 draws, 1 loss.
In 3 of those draws we created enough to win comfortably but our atrocious finishing let us down. You can clearly see the improvement under Ralf. I don't think it is so unrealistic for us to win this competition. We need to go all out agains Atletico and show the world we are not to be taken lightly.
Maguire & Shaw have been awful, Mctominay is always a red card waiting to happen on big occasions and Dalot (While I agree is the better RB) isn't a solid defensivelyI’d like to see this lineup.
Yeah, Marca have been known to stir things before a big game but who knows, big advantage if he's out. I'm counting on Griezmann to be involved.
Does La Liga do 5 subs in a game??? Havent watched any matches this season so wouldnt knowThey may not be in form but they have a quality side.
With Carrasco suspended, I imagine it will be Correa in for him. Potentially Kondogbia for Koke if the MARCA rumours are true. Griezmann will be involved at same stage for sure.
Yep introduced at the start of last season.Does La Liga do 5 subs in a game??? Havent watched any matches this season so wouldnt know
That's mentalYep introduced at the start of last season.
My bad, it seems it was actually the end of 19/20 (same time Premier League trialed it as a Covid measure), seems in Spain they decided to stick with it as an official rule in 19/20!That's mental
When's the last time Mctominay received a red card for us?Maguire & Shaw have been awful, Mctominay is always a red card waiting to happen on big occasions and Dalot (While I agree is the better RB) isn't a solid defensively
You fecked up, bad.

Once Maguire starts scoring he usually goes on a run. After Maguires goal... I think you need to play him. Lindelof was great and deserves a run out as well. Having a back 3 with Varane seems the way to go.

Pretty grim. Only notable victory since the 2008 win against Barcelona is a 2017 EL semi-final win over Celta Vigo, in which I’m still wondering how they didn’t score at the end of to go through.
The tweet said "negative", so he's back or not? I am confusedCarrasco will be a huge miss for them.

Thanks for the info. CheersHe got a red card in last match, will definitely not play.
Beat Sociedad in the round of 32 last season that you have missed off and villareal home and away in the group stage this season, that you have also missed off. So the record isn't as grim as you make out.Recent record against Spanish sides in European competition (including knockout ties as one and group games as separate)

I hope we raise our game in the CL for once, we've been mediocre for years, about time we dicked a big team. This is the Champions League. They will raise their game, I can assure you of that. Will be a really tough match.
PL referees are lenient with him, possibly because he’s British and they see him as ‘not that sort of player’. What he does do is commit an extremely high number of fouls. Refs in Europe are likely to be less lenient so he will need to watch himself.Mctominay has never been sent off in the 117 appearances he's made for the club. He's picked up 17 yellows in that time, which averages out at 1 booking every 6 games or thereabouts, standard stuff for a PL DM.
Hopefully, this will put the whole Mctominay is a liability thing to bed
