Not really. Even the recent best “us” were getting spanked by every team in the top half away from home last season. Heavy defeats too. I fully expect a comfortable bayern win.
Yes we could play like prime Barcelona. Is it likely? Absolutely not.Sane will be up against a defensively challenged Reguilon. Going to be fun to watch. If Dalot plays, not going to be much prettier.God help us!I guess people might think it's being defeatist, but I'd go into this match looking to keep the score to a minimum. This could quite easily turn into a rout for Bayern as our team is just too mentally fragile and we are lacking some absolute key players.
That being said, I'd still select players in their natural positions.

*if Amrabat is still not fit enough I'd play Mejbri deeper (which I'd like to see long-term anyway) and play Bruno/Eriksen ahead of the two midfielders. I think Rashford, our best attacking player for sure, may be served by starting on the bench with a quiet word about off the ball work. That though could of course turn into another media driven drama to put the boot into Erik.

I guess we will revert back to last season and try to be defensively solid with breaks, which might suit Rashford and Hojlund, but we don't look remotely at it in midfield to get away with it. Who knows though, maybe a return to Champions League will revitalise Casemiro again. Certainly a good result here would be massive in the current context and environment. An absolute shoeing could be nail in coffin.

ETH performs really good in Europe as well. With that being said considering the injury crisis and how out of form we look I'd be very surprised if we get anything from this fixture. I expect a Bayern win, but my gut tells me that we might pull an upset.

I can understand this optimism under Ole given his start and then subsequent wins against good teams like City. But ETH? Thrive in away games? If you offered me a 1-1 I'll take it and run.This will be a better performance. Narrow defeat or plucky draw playing on the counter attack. I fear the Burnley game a hell of a lot more.I am putting Pellestri in to give Hojlund a cut-back goal.
