Brighton game really disappointed me. Lost my faith in Ten Hag, probably permanently. Completely outcoached by De Zerbi and the club is in total shambles, on and off the pitch. Just waiting for ETH to be sacked at this point, even though I don't want that to happen(at least not yet). Who knows what Glazers are doing/planning with the possible sale, I've given up really thinking about that.

I'm not looking forward to this fixture at all. I guess anything other than embarrassment would be a positive result. I predicted 4:0 in the
forum poll, but hope it's just a boring 2:0 for Bayern where we create a couple of chances just for the excitement/show, to be more interesting for the neutrals that will be watching.

It's the most high profile match of this first round of group stages - lot of people will watch it and lot of them can't wait to see United humiliated(Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Leeds, Newcastle, Chelsea, Barcelona fans etc.).

So pessimistic, more likely the United players will lift their game, hit Bayern on the counter. Will be a close game

That looks pretty optimistic to me. Some people think United will win this game.
That'll just be the Bayern fans that saw them against Leverkusen but haven't watched us.

Oh boy!!! A royal thrashing seems a big possibility. Kane probably getting a brace or a hatrick in the process.

AWB out for upto 2 months now. Dalot is going to be playing on the right. We now have only 2 fit fullbacks. We are going to see a lot more of Maguire now with Martinez sometimes covering left back.

I wish EtH would just go balls out for this one. I hate to say it, but no one will be surprised if we lose so he may as well roll the dice. He keeps saying about players not following instructions, so drop them for ones that will.

With a win against United Thomas Müller can make his CL win no. 100. (from 143 matches)

Only Cristiano Ronaldo (115 wins in 183 matches) and Iker Casillas (101 wins in 177 matches) have more.

We’re going to get absolutely blown off the pitch unless ten Hag takes a more pragmatic approach. Defend for our lives and come out with a draw.

There’s no benefit at all taking that approach. We need to qualify for the last 16, so sit back and defend and take a more pragmatic approach.

Which would surely be more effective with players that follow instructions?

Bad idea. With goal differential potentially being a thing that could see us finish 3rd in the group, it'd be better to set up in a manner that tries to limit the damage as much as possible in this one.

We don't look like we could beat a Championship side right now, and the injury crisis continues to get worse and worse. I don't expect to get anything out of either of the Bayern matches. Getting out of Germany with an 0-1 would be a good result right now.

And I will ask the same question as above:

I'd much rather we play players who do as they are told, who are actually hungry and don't jog around like they are bored.

I am optimistic about this game. I think our team will play better in the UCL compared to the league. There is just too much competition in the premier league and top four is wishful thinking when we still dont have our best 11 playing due to injuries and such.
I can see us having a more laid back approach and would not be surprised to see us with a draw or even a win.

Last time we lost a game in the group stages was in 2017 I think vs PSG. Our record since then has been:

    22/23 - 6 - 0 - 0
    21/22 - 6 - 0 - 0
    20/21 - 5 - 1 - 0
    19/20 - 6 - 0 - 0
    18/19 - 4 - 2 - 0
    17/18 - 5 - 0 - 1

Yet I'm still nervous about this game, as that is what the CL always does to me anyways. I think the lack of pressure can still be beneficial to United. A lot of injuries, not a great start to the season, and everyone to prove wrong.
I still fancy us to win it though, but not sure it'll be as dramatic as some here have suggested. 2-0 or 3-1.

No idea if Amrabat is even remotely ready to play this, but if he's ready for the bench then he needs to be fast tracked in.

Yeah we need Ole ball on Wednesday. Rashford and Hojlund with their speed might cause Bayern some trouble. However, I do not expect us to get anything out of this. Probably lose by 2 or 3. It does not matter a lot as long as we get results against the other 2 and get our sh*t together over the winter.

Typical bollocks on here as usual. Bayern likely to nick it by the odd goal, expecting a good game. You'd think both teams will score. 2/3-1 Bayern, but every chance we can go there and get a morale boosting point.

You need to sit back, park the bus a bit and play for the counter. You cannot go out and try to attack Bayern or control the game with the squad that is currently available to you. If you happen to push your FBs high up, Bayerns wingers and Davies would have way too much space.

Not looking forward to this, just think Bayern will spread the curtains and go straight between our cheeks. It's a guaranteed unoiled penetration.

At least it willq be fun though.

Not sure he will play Hojlund in this, still easing him back. Mount might be fit to make it though. CB’s terrify me after the Brighton game - Kane could have a field day!

I've not seen how Bayern play under Tuchel at any capacity but it wouldn't surprise me if United wins against the run of play. It would just be so typical to have some terrible results where the mood / criticism is reigning heavy than all of a sudden the club picks up points where a loss is anticipated.

Who’s Bayern keeper? It isn’t Neuer anymore, isn’t it?
Somewhat back from injury, but still in training and some of the news isn't that good from the rumourmill. So will be Ulreich.
