I am certain that there are 1-2 changes at most, and McFred will start the game.

It's the United way, boys... and there's no value in the market!

I find myself looking forward to this game, and I have no idea why.
We're still excited to see what Ten Hag can do. After seeing the state of the same old faces against Brighton, maybe just maybe he can take a different approach, play some of the younger faces and show us something promising.

Although as they say it's the hope that kills you. Maybe we are just masochists.

I am optimistic for a much better performance than last week. I'm concerned though that based on the evidence of pre-season and last week Martial is crucial to this system with his ability to link up play.

We seriously need to win this game. Imagine if we lose and then we have Liverpool next week. We could be on 0 points from three games. I don't think we will lose though (he says).

Resounding victory today, 4-1 United. Rashford double, Bruno and Ronaldo pen.
Hope to see Martinez and Varane paired today, Maguire just hasnt recovered from last season.

Brighton generally outplay us in fairness. Even in wins, like with the stoppage time VAR peno, they absolutely battered us. Brentford we just need to match physically, their whole game is about aggression and direct football - we just need to keep the ball and use the weather to fatigue them.
Physicality is one of our biggest problems. Expect McMayonaise to start.

Maguire was more than alright vs Brighton
He is still a massive problem tactically speaking, we are accommodating a very slow player (who isn't even that good anyway) whilst trying to play a high line.

Hope ETH has balls to drop mcfred and start either of garner or zidan. We need to start trusting youth over mcfred , at least until rabiot or FDJ arrives

Fred has also posted his shirt, so maybe another one.

To me, Eriksen has to start, but I worry about the lack of height with Bruno, Fred, and Eriksen, especially with Martinez at the back.
Which is true, but also shows that we go into games with fear. Which is a sad state of affairs.

Blindly trusting in youth is equally as damaging as playing Mcfred. Our shambles of a board should have gotten in two capable midfielders after letting go of Pogba and Matic. Simple as that.

Wrong. Trusting the youth players can pay off, by them getting experience and becoming better.
McFred is a lose lose situation.

He’s not gonna drop Maguire he was one of our better players. Guaranteed starter.
His centre back and leadership performance was 5 out of 10 at an absolute push.
The fact people think he was one of the better players says it all about how bad about 9 of that first team is.

I would hope Varane is brought in and Martinez is pushed forward into CDM. Maguire, while not very good, is at least better than McFred.

I hope ETH will drop 4-5 players who doesn't deserve to start. Some of them being shite at the end of last season too.

I wouldn't say that. It just means we go into games mindful of other teams. Sir Alex used to change his team all the time when he wanted to try and stop, or at least, lessen the threat of the opposition.

Maybe a 3 at the back? Martinez-Maguire-Varane and Dalot-Malacia as wingbacks?
Eriksen-Fred in the middle, Bruno-Sancho-Ronaldo as attackers would be quite decent and balanced lineup actually.

Just saw on ManUtd app team entering their dressing room. All of them turn to their right open the door...except Maguire, he wants to go left. Completely lost that guy.

I have the feeling this game will be very important for how our season turns out.

Lose here and it can spiral out of control.

Win here and the tone is set we are somewhat capable.
It should be just another match, but this is in fact a crucial match for us that we must win.

He had a good squad though, we are still full of holes.
We are also talking about a manager that was in total control of his team during the majority of our lives as fans. By that I mean that SAF was the one that brought and developed 95% of any teams that he had between 1990 to 2013, one or two players could have question marks but the rest were known quantities for him. Here ETH and most managers need to learn about their own players, understand what they can and can't do in relation to his own instructions and preferences.
