Hoping for Lammens but it's probably going to be Bayındır.
    Lammens
de Ligt - Maguire - Shaw
    Mazraoui - Ugarte - Fernandes - Dorgu
    Mbeumo - Cunha
    Šeško
I think it will be this team, apart from the keeper. I think he'll stick with Bayindir.

I do think Cunha or Mount will come in for Amad and rightly so. I don't think Amad has had a great start to the season. Maybe chopping and changing his position isn't helping him.

if we can't beat a Brentford team that have lost 2 of their big players (wissa and mbuemo) then there is absolutely no hope for this team and manager.
Lost their captain too don’t forget.

I know it’s not going to happen but I’d like to see us try a back 3 of Yoro, Maguire and De ligt. That’s pace and dominant in the air and De ligt who wins a lot of his duels. This could help us more solid and not leak as many goals.
I’d argue that’s our best back 3 if you mean MDL at RCB and Yoro LCB. I would say MDL performance at RCB was miles ahead of anything Yoro has produced this season.

Jesus all these acronyms have given me a migraine.

Interesting you say that as I reckon that will be the back 3 on Saturday as their biggest threat is from set pieces / long throws. Ruben likes to make small changes to the backline, Yoro to come in for Shaw.

I hope so. I think that could become a really good back 3 and will definitely help us on defending and attacking set pieces

They're a bit of a bogey team for us at their ground. We've won once in 4 visits and conceded 4 goals twice.

But on the positive side its probably not a better time to play them

Hoping familiar surroundings give Mbeumo a boost and he finally has one of those xg busting games.

Really hoping we can get 3 points in this match with a bit of a dominant performance. Would be nice to see some of the forward players to get on the scoresheet, such as Sesko and Cunha.

Getting a few wins before the Liverpool match would be helpful!
Yeah would be ideal if Sesko could score here and home to Sunderland before trip to Anfield on 19 Oct

It’s a pivotal point of the season where things could go excellently for the next few weeks or remain dire. If we get 6 points from the next 2 games, a Liverpool loss won’t hurt as much. (It will sting but it shouldn’t be viewed as a complete setback)

I feel Lammens was left out if staring 11 against city and Chelsea because both them games could have ended in a really bad defeat and if he made a mistake he’d have got slated in the press.

The press will be patiently waiting for a first mistake to pounce and call him the new Onana.

Brentford have’t done anything this season, beat a poor villa and drawn with Chelsea, the rest have been rubbish. We have to put a great performance in post Chelsea and again at Sunderland. I can’t see us getting anything with the Liverpool game so these two are important.

No chance Bayandir gets dropped after his chelsea performance.
His Chelsea performance? I genuinely don't remember him doing anything other than booting it clear. Which I've no issue by the way but it was hardly some groundbreaking perfect.

He didnt make a mistake, thats enough for Amorim to keep starting him.

    Lammens/Bayindir
Yoro - De Ligt - Shaw
    Mazraoui - Mainoo - Fernandes - Dorgu
    Mbeumo - Cunha
    Sesko
Hope we go for this. Maybe this leaves us a little light in midfield, but I just really don't trust Ugarte, and it should be enough quality to outscore them.

Anything but a win would be a gut punch after the Chelsea game. This team and this manager desperately need momentum.

I think we'll have to wait for the next major Bayindir feck up before we see Lammens in action. Don't worry, it won't to be too far in the future.

    For this game:

    Bayindir
De Ligt 'Arry Shaw (Should be Yoro)
    Casemiro Bruno (should be Mainoo)
    Maz Mbeumo Cunha Dorgu
    Sesko
    1-1.

Pretty sure Casemiro will be suspended.

I agree with this and sadly that's just stupid imo, because will that mean that Lammens will be the same? Because that's not good for the GKers mentally or morally, no? Being "afraid" or nervous of making a mistake and then be dropped.

They start long throws from the first minute, absolute menace on set plays. Away crowd will also be up for it because of the whole Mbeumo saga. It's going to be a shit show.

I can just see it now, Mbeumo having a mare & Brentford fans chanting, "What a waste of money" & "Brentford reject..."

Keep up the front foot starts we’ve seen in most of our league games. Hopefully like the Chelsea game we can score whilst on top.

    Bayindir
    Yoro Maguire MDL
    Maz Bruno Ugarte Dorgu
    Mbuemo Cunha
    Sesko

I hope we start on the front foot, like we did at fulham, but score early this time.

I hope sesko gets a lot of minutes here, we need him to start firing.

Saw them vs Fulham, pretty bad.
Absolute must win, followed by Sunderland at home to get a run going before international break and change the mood.
We got a billion pound team and a full week of break, nearly no injuries too. No excuses. Start to integrate Sesko more as well.
    Solid 3-1 or something needed.

I really hoped he'd stick Bruno at 10 with mbeumo, Sesko up top, amad on the same side as Bruno. Cunha to come on at some point. Mainoo and Ugarte?! (have we even got another midfielder?!) running around kicking people.

But I know what we'll get, and it'll be the same old - more hoofball defenders on the pitch that actual midfielders, because that's better somehow. Still, fingers crossed.

    Who are our hoofball defenders?

Our GK standands are so low it’s basically if you don’t make a mistake it’s a performance. So he stays until he fecks up

There is no chance Maguire is on the bench for this.

Can these players and manager please for once just surprise us here and bring some momentum. Is it too much to ask?

We need our forwards to start scoring goals.
With only a single league goal scored by Mbeumo, in the first 5 league games !
Our other PL goals have come from midfield (Bruno 2, Casemiro 1) and from 2 own goals.

OK, Cunha and Sesko haven’t featured in all those 5 games, but it’s time for all 3 forwards to start getting on the score sheet.
