    Win this and we've quietly had a decent start to the PL campaign. Would also be a huge confidence boost going into a winnable home game to Sunderland. 6 points and a draw at Liverpool after the international break could transform us.

    Not confident but fingers crossed.

    I wouldn't go as far as decent, but we've had a very difficult first 5 games and losing to arsenal and city (especially when we shouldn't have lost to arsenal) isn't all that shocking. The Chelsea result puts a much sunnier look on it, and if we beat both Brentford and Sunderland, then 13 points out of 21, with the start we've had wouldn't be too shabby.

    Yeah, I'd also wait until we have 6 points in the bag against Brentford and Sunderland before declaring it a decent start.

    If we did do that, it would look alright, but I hope the players and manager are not getting ahead of themselves like I am.

    Mase has scored his only league goals for us against this lot if I’m not mistaken and he’s Amorim’s fave so I expect he’ll squeeze him in to the lineup somewhere.
     
    We really need to win this one. Build a little momentum early this season and avoid the stop, start drama that’s plaguing us the past few years.

    I watched a video recently about time potentially not being as linear as we experience it. Maybe this is evidence of that.

    His hair will be like Fellainis before that happens. We unfortunately have Liverpool within 5 games. Would have been easier if he said unbeaten in 5 games

    If that happens then it was utterly pointless signing Sesko & wasting £70m on him instead of buying a midfielder, and what about buying that goalie & not picking him when they could've got 1 of 2 vastly experienced goalies. :rolleyes:

    I would have thought if they were going to sit him for anyone it probably would have been to give Zirkzee a run out.

    I did think that they might just rotate Sesko for a game this weekend anyway, but we’ll see what happens.

    I have no real issue if it is a combo of Mount, Mbueno and Cunha but would like to see one of our strikers actually scoring goals some time soon.
