Only surprise for me is Yoro benched, otherwise exactly as expected. And even with Yoro I get why he’d rather play de Ligt and Maguire as Brentford seem very physical.

Plenty of physicality in there which you need against one of the more physical teams in the league. We've struggled against Brentford for years, so a better performance would be nice.

Let's get these back to back to wins.

Why is he so intent on using Altay??

Weve had a week since our last game yet still he wont try Senne

As much as I agree - Brentford away is perhaps not the right place to give a guy his debut. Sunderland at home would be better

And - Bayindir did ok against Chelsea, would be harsh to bench him now

With Bayindir in goal and a back 5 of Dalot, De Ligt, Maguire, Shaw, and Dorgu any hope of a clean sheet today has probably gone out of the window.

Why is Ruben still refusing to play Mainoo? Surely he can see that he would have been a much better option than Ugarte in CM.

Mainoo would have to be in place of Bruno, which isn’t going to happen. Tough for him.

I mean, you can make a solid argument that Mainoo has to wait for his chance when its Bruno, even he must understand that.

But ugarte? Hes by a way, the worst player in the squad, and has already stunk up the pitch in 3 games this season.

Yep, by refusing to play him and blocking his attempts to leave on loan Ruben is treating him unfairlu and ruining his chances of playing at the World Cup next summer
Yes , Amorim thoughts should be what’s best for his international career rather than Amorims squad depth.
Bruno is a better player than Mainoo which is why he’s starting.

At least Lammens and Mainoo might get some minutes in the carabao cup. Oh wait.

There is something very wrong when you have a United starting lineup of Dalot, Maguire and Shaw in 2025.

I'm 100% backing the manager but he talks of being brave and yet he starts with these 3, that's not being brave, that's being conservative at best.

If we signed a goalkeeper who is not up for a game against brentford, we should never have signed him.

This goalkeeper situation is one of the most embarrassing things to happen at this club.

Nothing says a team is pathetic like not even caring about having a good goalkeeper at the club

Decent team. Only change for me would be Lammens for Shatindir. But I suppose he’ll want to ease him in, and the next home game against Sunderland would be an ideal place to start.

This game will be about beating Kelleher on one end, and minimizing the chance of mistakes from Bayindir on the other.

Nor Yoro, nor Heaven - he’s slowly alienating our youngsters

I quite like taking a young player out now and again, especially when they're having a mini rough spell. That's how it should be.

The opposite of what we've done in the past. Flogging young lads, 2, 3 games a week no matter how they're struggling.

Maguire is selected for Brentford’s aerial abilities
Dalot is our only RWB available
Shaw was decent v Chelsea and it’s a straight choice between him and Yoro ( who’s had a tough start to the season and at fault for the chelsea goal )

But carry on with your lack of knowledge

What made you think that? Bruno is fit, which means mainoo is on the bench
Mount would have played ahead of him today if there was space in the team.

My feeling is Ruben doesn't want young players. Hence the goalie being on the bench again. He even wanted a more experienced striker

He was barely tested in the first half and made a great pass. And he did his best to made us less safe at the back during Chelsea’s prolonged and impressively impotent second half assault, barely ever clearing aerial balls that a regular keeper would be expected to claim comfortably.
