    I'm hoping for:

    De Gea

    AWB
    Lindelof
    Maguire
    Shaw

    Pogba
    Fred

    Greenwood
    Bruno
    Rashford

    Martial

I feel Fred should be starting next to Pogba for the most part, Matic generally takes far too long on the ball and allows opposition to regain their shape.
That’s my ideal too, I see McT starting though as he was rested last night...

We need the full strength team. No more dicking around.

DDG, AWB, Maguire, Whoever, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, Bruno, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood

More so what Ole will play. Doubt its a good idea to give Bailly 2 games in a week either given his injury record, even though he's much better than Lindelof
Give Lindelof half a match then as I don't trust him for a full game if you're not sure of Bailly's fitness..

But since we're just starting a new season, I don't necessarily see that as an issue but that's just my opinion though.

I think it’s time to give Maguire and Bailly a go. My team I would go with:
    DDG
    AWB
    Bailly
    Maguire
    Shaw
    Matic
    Pogba
    Bruno
    Greenwood
    Martial
    Rashford

Let’s get the win and get fans to calm down a little

I'd play Bailly as long as he's fit

I would drop Pogba. He was awful last time around. Matic and Fred can play again.
Agree. He can come on as a sub but must not start this one. He lacks match rythm. We need a calming central DM like Matic and a duracell like Fred alongside him. Fernandes can do his thing in front of them.

No more substandard Lindelof and McTominnay. Brighton have started very well this season, lost to Chelsea but have won 3 of their last 4.

Bailly if fit must be given a run of games next to Maguire.

May be put Henderson in there as well. I think he is buzzing not sure though he could do it in a pressurised game. Every team is motivated when they play United so we are constantly under attack.

The argument over Bailly or Lindelhof demonstrate how weak we are at CB.

Of course he's going to get that on the bench?

    De Gea

    Bissaka
    Bailly
    Maguire
    Shaw

    Fred
    Pogba
    Bruno

    Greenwood
    Martial
    Rashford

The team actually picks itself, apart from Fred/Matic dilemma.

    My lineup:

    Deano
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Matic
    Pogba Bruno
    Greenwood Martial Rashford

I wouldn't argue with starting with VDB instead of Pogba and doing a 60 minute switch depending on the situation. Lindelof needs to go.

We just need to score first. Can’t be letting in a ridiculous goal early on and then we’re chasing the game against a team defending deep.

We need pen to step up here. Was awful in our last league game scoring an own goal, but returned to form mid week. Hopefully he can get an early goal for us.

Martial and Greenwood or Rashford and Greenwood are our strikers. One attacks from the left and one attacks from the right.
Fred, Bruno and van de Beek is our 3 man midfield. It is mobile and capable of both pressing and winning back possession AND being creative when in possession.
Pogba plays as a false 9 and can also drop back and rotate with either Bruno or van de Beek. When this happens Bruno or van de Beek is the false 9.
The extra midfielder means we are less vulnerable defensively. This system would make our team more balanced between attack and defense.
I like Maguire and Smalling best from our CB options. If Smalling isn't an option I'd give Tuanzebe a chance.

Bruno is the only one capable of playing a false 9 I think. However, Ole will stick to his guns and we'll see the same strongest lineup we saw the end of last season. Except now, Shaw is back. Smalling is being sold and will not play. He's not even training with the rest of the team.

Your trying to imitate Klopps system but our players are not suited for it. Our Wingbacks don’t have the attacking technical skill, Bruno is not a workhorse, and Pogba isn’t selfless enough to copy Firmino. It won’t work.

Isn't Brighton where old people go to retire? Maybe leave Mata and Phelan down there after we've won 0-2.
The only thing I remember about Brighton is the headband-wearing defender Steve Foster. Some sort of cult hero at the time.

2 consecutive games down there. Most likely we will get Tuesday night slot for Carabao cup round 4 given that we are playing each other Saturday early kick-off.

Yeah, was he the one who came back after injury when we drew with them in the cup final? I remember the united crowd singing what a difference you make and we thumped them 4-1.

Surprised how many have him in to be honest. Did nothing last weekend to warrant starting
Tbf if we go by this rule then none of the starting 11 players did anything to start against Brighton and Lindelof should be sold very next day.

True, but i think their should be some repercussions for a really shit performance, so dropping a few of our worst performers seems like a sensible thing to do for me.

Yeah, at least should be consistent in dropping. So players like Pogba, Rashford, Martial shouldn't be starting as these are 3 of our best players (or players we rely on) who were very poor vs Palace. Bruno just did enough btw to start one more week.

When was the last time we relied on Pogba? Or Rashford really, though at least he came on and did well mid-week, and we have relied on him in the recent past... Pogba though?

You’ll be facing Greenwood on the right at OT too mate. We’re not getting Sancho.
He was good enough to rip us apart last time! I've got my fingers crossed for Mata on the right!

We rely on them as in they are our best players.

It's very simple, i have 0 problem with any player being dropped but that should be consistent, instead of just 1 player. Pogba was awful against Palace, there is no denying that but we can't drop players based on single performances, especially with 0 preparation and player who just recovered from Covid.

Rashford was as worse, Martial too. We shouldn't be dropping them. Our team as a whole is inconsistent.

We'll be facing a Brighton side coming off of two wins, high on confidence and playing at home. We cant have physical passengers especially at the heart of the team. We also have to make sure Maguire is covered against pace in all directions. Bruno should also play closer to his midfield partners so we can get a consistent and varied supply to our technicians and runners in attack.

    De Gea
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Pogba Fred
    Bruno
    Mason Martial Marcus
