Brighton & Hove Albion (nicknamed The Seagulls and Albion) are a professional football club based in Brighton & Hove. The club was first formed as Brighton & Hove United on 24 June 1901, and the name was quickly changed to Brighton & Hove Albion. The club took the place of a defunct club, Brighton & Hove Rover, in the Southern League In the Southern League they won their only national honour to date, the FA Charity Shield, by defeating Football League Champions Aston Villa in 1910. There had previously been Old Brightonians, representing the area in the FA Cup in the 19th Century. The club initially played at the Hove County Ground, with a few games were also at Goldstone Ground that was used by Hove F.C. From 1902 onwards, Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. and Hove F.C. shared the Gladstone Ground. In 1920, 19 years after the club was formed, they were elected to the Football League's new Third Division.

Mismanagement brought Brighton close to relegation from the Football League to the Conference which they narrowly avoided in 1997 and 1998. A boardroom takeover saved Brighton from liquidation, and following successive promotions they returned to the second tier of English football in 2002, from then on playing in the second and third tiers of English football until the conclusion of the 2016-17 season, where the club earned promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history, marking the end of a 34-year absence from the top flight. Bighton's fans consider Crystal Palace to be their biggest rival with matches between them termed the M23 derby, and they play their home games at Falmer Stadium.

I really want the team to break the 70 point barrier this season and aim for 80+ points next season. Not expecting anything but a tough match though.

I was hoping they'd catch Liverpool but now that's not gonna happen, let's ruin these cnuts' season - they've done it to us enough times.

    Hell break it by 2
Brighton are a good team and they'll probably pin us back for the majority of the game. The space on the counter is where Bruno will come alive.

I'm sure he'll create the chances, but will our forwards have their shooting boots on?

Not overly arsed about the result, just play an attacking side and go for it. Let the young players get a lot of minutes with early subs.

Brighton can give us a discount on Baleba if they beat us.

    Lammens
    Dalot - Maguire - Heaven - Shaw
    Casemiro - Mainoo
    Lacey - Bruno - Cunha

Why risk them for a meaningless game? Rotate the side and have a few of the most deserving youth players on the bench
I'd say finish the season on a high. What's one more extra game they can't play

We almost always do badly against Brighton. Predicting a 2-1 loss.

Also, kinda weird that this will be 2nd time in 3 seasons in which our last game of the season is away to Brighton.

I only want Bruno to break the assists record. Do everything we can to get that done. Anything after that, not too bothered about it. Would like to see some of our promising academy youngsters getting a chance off the bench like Shea Lacey, Tyler Fletcher & JJ Gabriel but not expecting it.

Hoping to see some of U21's on the bench as their season is now over so no excuse now

I’d rather win the game, have a good performance and give some of the youngsters some minutes, such as Heaven and Lacey.

Would you rather Bruno gets an assist in a 4-1 defeat?
It probably feels wrong to say, but we should honour heroes like Bruno for all the times he’s put in a shift here and stayed. He deserves something back I believe. Also we need him to feel loved and stay. We probably can’t give him a title like Robson had on his last years, so at least help him a bit with this.

Not that it all falls if he doesn’t get the assist, but it would be a nice gesture. I think it matters that we go out with a bang too, for next season. To inspire for a title challenge.

That being said, of course Heaven is good enough to start. Should start, anyways. Hoping Dorgu does too.

I imagine Lacey, Fletcher and Thwaites will get 15-20 mins in this game.

Judging from Bruno's post match comments, I think the plan is to rotate. Which makes sense. Why risk Casemiro before the world cup? He's had his sign off at old Trafford. Plus it's a good opportunity to give a few youngsters a chance.

I just hope we have a strong enough side to get Bruno the record because Brighton are still fighting for league position.

In before somebody says 'play JJ Gabriel'

Hope Lacey and a few others get a game.

If the objective is a Bruno assist, an attacking Brighton side leaving a lot of room for counters might be the perfect scenario.
