Don't have much hope anyway. Think I entered "don't give a feck" mood of LVG last season.
My main concern is if we continue trying to use the same midfield Burnley could out battle us in midfield.
    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Bailly Shaw
    Matic
    Fellaini Pogba
    Lingard-------------Alexis
    Lukaku
As much as I really hate Fellaini, I do agree that we need either him or Herrera in midfield.

Burnley might have been terrible so far but will give us a game. They will be desperate to show that they aren't a one season wonder.

Burnley have been poor so far this season. Should be a crucial 3pts.

    DDG
    Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof (christ), Shaw
    Matic, Fred, Pogba
    Lingard, Lukaku, Sanchez

SUBS - Herrera (Matic), Fellaini (Lingard), Rashford (Lukaku)

    Burnley 1 - 2 Man United
    Lukaku, Rashford

Keep DDG and Shaw in the XI.

Give first team chances to 9 players from the academy. Chong, Gomes etc

    Give lots of attacking freedom.

If we go down, we go down entertaining and surprising.

If we win, Jose looks brilliant

I've gone 2-1 to us. Burnley haven't been great and have Europa woes, we'll be ok at attacking, De Gea will make about 50 world class saves and well collapse over the finish line.

    We'll probably see;

    . DDG
    Valencia Bailly Smalling Shaw
    . Fred Matic
    . Mata Pogba Sanchez
    . Lukaku

    What I'd like to see...

    . DDG
    Valencia Bailly Smalling Shaw
    . Fred Matic Pogba
    . Rashford Lukaku Sanchez

I reckon we will see a big reaction here. Similar to the Swansea away game in Jose's first season where we had been on a run of losing to Chelsea and drawing some very easy games at home and there was a lot of negativity around.

    Will go 1-3 United.

Hoping that DDG, Shaw, Bailly, Smalling, Matic, Herrera, Lingard and Alexis start. Not too fussed who fills the other spots

Valencia, Smalling, Matic, and Lingard have definitely played their way into the team. I'd say Herrera too, but I'm not sure if Jose will want to drop Fred just yet. Against Burnley, it seems Jose picked a lot of the more dependable players, who he knew could put in a shift and be reliable. However, a lot of those players were playing their first real minutes of competitive football this season and it started to show in the second half, didn't it? Hopefully we can get through the Burnley game with a result and no knocks, then after the International Break we'll see some improvement as this below XI will hopefully string some games together:

    de Gea
    Valencia Bailly Smalling Shaw
    Matic
    Fred Pogba
    Lingard Lukaku Sanchez
    ---
Grant; Lindelof, Young; Herrera, Fellaini; Rashford, Martial

Bit harsh on Pereira/McTominay/Mata but it is hard to find room for them if we want more impact players on the bench like Fellaini/Rashford/Martial along with fullback and centreback cover. Most of the time if everyone's fit, we'll have about five players vying for one substitute spot. We really need a win here. I expect a draw to be the more likely outcome, but hopefully, Burnley put a lot into their Europa League tie and feel the effects on Sunday.

I don't see Jose backing down. We will press them like crazy like against spurs. If we could finish the chances, its going to be a bloodbath. If we don't get anything for an hour, i could see Burnley scoring from a corner and us loosing the plot.

A must win game this early in the season. This and Watford are massive because we've got some of the other top six teams playing each other coming up. I think we'll sneak an ugly win.

    Hoping to see

    De Gea

    Valencia
    Smalling
    Is Rojo fit?
    Shaw

    Herrera
    Fred
    Pogba
    Lingard

    Sanchez
    Lukaku

I want to see 4-3-1-2 with Dalot ultimately taking over when he's up to pace and if Shaw keeps it up we've got some good stuff from our full-backs and then I think everyone is playing in their best position.

Jose reaction towards the Stretty end last night could be the most defining moment in his Manchester United career.

People will be pessimistic with that response last night but Jose is far more genuine than fans give him credit for.His response after we won the Europa League in 2017 is a clear sign that he's emotionally connected with the club .He wouldn't use the fanbase as a means to just throw scorn at the ownership and Ed.He's largely doing it because he and the team need support.

Now,I dont like his brand of football and how he goes about things in the limelight, SAF was hardly a saint either, but its blatantly apparent he wants to get this club back to winning ways.If he didn't,he would've walked.

For the time being I am with Jose.
Hopefully we can kick off a run of promising results with a victory away to Burnley. We need it,Jose needs it and the team needs it.

It was aimed at him not playing part, for that to happen he has to be in a wheelchair.
Strange starting him when he's clearly not up to match fitness. Perreira was doing a fine job so I have no idea why he was dropped for a half-fit Matic.

Nothing strange when it comes to JM, AP could have 2 10s in prev. 2 games, would mean feck all the moment Matic was able to walk. Same patterns in many examples, easy to predict weeks ago. Got told it has to do with something, forgot what, either way it turned really well last night for us.

If we start with Fellaini we'll stand a chance, I don't know why we bother trying to play football, we're hopeless at it.

I hope Im wrong but I can see us narrowly losing this. We need a good positive performance to instill belief but away from home I can see us setting up a bit more defensively

    De Gea
    Valencia(Dalot) Bailly Smalling Shaw
    Matic McTominay
    Lingard Mata Sanchez
    Lukaku

I don't think you can say it's strange for Jose.

    Valencia, Smalling, Herrera, Matic, Lingard...

He's ripped up the notepad after the Brighton game. In came all the players he knows he can trust. The workman like players who put in the shift for him. Regardless of being match fit, free from injury etc. He picks the warriors. Far from a 'strange decision', especially after getting slapped for 3 by Brighton & fecking Hove Albion. The players who played there did far from a 'fine job' to be honest. One of our most shocking performances for some time.

Matic was atrocious last night and not match fit. I would rather a fit player starting than a eh non-fit one. It’s just logic.
