Iknew Jose would fail. Sometimes it doesn't even make me sad when we lose like this. It's not like we play well & end up losing.

It's enjoyable waiting for the eventual sacking & over hype we gave to Jose.
Fail? give him a chance he is a manager with a proven track record he just needs a bit of time to sort out the mess we have. SAF was also a manager with a proven track record when he came from Aberdeen, after taking Aberdeen above Celtic and Rangers in Scotland, and winning a European trophy with Aberdeen. But it took him over 3 seasons to get United going. But get us going he sure did. Jose has the skills he just needs the time now. Had we listened to the guys with that banner Ferguson would have been sacked, and Liverpool would still have most titles in England.

We are only six points off the top, despite our losses. Some of the comments about getting a new manager are embarrassing.
We can play well and lose & everyone would be understanding. We have had one decent performance where all goals were set pieces. What are you so positive about?

Just complete trust in Jose? You can't blame fans of the club who doesnt see the need to do that.

The expectations are so much different to 20 years ago. You could say the same about 2 managers post Fergie but why not?

Correct I did, but I also said I was not sure about Jose, I said I did not like his style of play and did not think he was the man for the job , but to call for his head so soon is it madness.
I know you can't fire the guy after 8 games - of course I understand that. And sure - I know you have to give him some time before bringing out the axe - I just don't like him. And I never understood why that last season at Chelsea wasn't mentioned more often when people wanted him as a manager. Something happened - but practically every fan was so keen on ditching LvG that they would gladly take anyone else.

I would love if he proved me wrong - I would be the first to stand here and say "I FU...up" - but I don't believe for a second that Mourinho is the man to take us where we are. He deserves credit for getting us Bailly and Pogba - but how are we gonna get close to winning the League with the way we play ?

Now we have Burnley and Swansea in the 2 next league matches. And we are in a position where we have to win both and then get something from the Arsenal-game.

The first manager to come after Ferguson was so obviously clueless, his first action being to get rid of the training staff and ask Rio Ferdinand to become more like Phil Jagielka. The 2nd manager did have a proven track record but was only short term anyways so did not have enough time, to sort out the problems. Mourinho will sort out the problems and make United successful again if he is given the time. He knows how to win titles and he knows how to win champions leagues. Have some patience ffs.

You have faith in Jose- even if he was successful - he hasn't played a style of football at any one of his clubs that I wanted associated with at United.

I had a feeling that Mourinho lost his interest in Chelsea when he was watching Van Gaal struggle at United. I believe that his main ambition was to become manager of United, i wont go into it any further..

If you dont get angry about the way we played to day, then you need to think if United is the club for you.
One of the worst post of the day !!

The style of football I like is winning trophies, and I am sure that Jose will get us doing just that, it may not be this season or even next. But he will get us there, just be a little patient. Of course it is great to win in style, but first you need to build a winning team. Give Jose the time please.

That's the difference- winning one or two titles is Jose's capabilities.

He could win a title with Ibrahimovic but I doubt his ability to sustain success. That requires you to adapt constantly to changes. This is something he is neglecting to do even in a match. 2 games in a row Ibrahimovic has been deserved to be substuted but he can't because that his only game plan. If plan A doesn't work, plan B is just a Mish mash.

Time will tell, all managers need some time. How many matches has Guardiola won recently at City? He has a similar problem allthough he had a better squad to start off with in my opinion. A club needs to recognise a manager that can bring success, that is the first step. Then the club needs to back the manager(as United have done with Jose) Then the club needs to give the manager time. The time should be no less than 4 seasons and no more. Now that is all just my own opinion. Some clubs might only give a manager 2 months. The reason Van Gaal did not deserve that time was because he himself stated his decision to only be short time. And as for Moyes, he was terrible from the begining. Give Jose the time, you will not regret it.

I get the Jose defence based on fergie. But Jose isn't fergie. He's a manager who's never had more than 3 seasons of success at a single club. I don't think the 2 can be compared in any way.

    That was bloody dreadful.

I don't understand what Mourinho is trying to achieve.

I know the defence is what everyone is talking about. But there are many problems across the one team.

Attack is non-existent. Ibrahimovic has been a donkey for weeks now. Deserves to be dropped. Rashford should lead the line with Mata playing the no.10 role.

Rashford is getting mugged off. Why start him to play wide. When you have Martial who is a better at it?

Midfield is embarrassing. What he sees in Fellaini is beyond me. We have Schneiderlin, Carrick Schweinsteiger who can't get a look in and yet he persists with Fellaini.

Chris Smalling was completely embarrassing as was the entire defense. I don't think we should've broken the Bailly-Blind pair. Smalling coming in has just broke it.

I was/am devastated at the result, but not with the way we played. They scored some brilliant goals.

Yep, as players will be traded, etc. But that performance is not measured by one day...is it for you? I'm sure you have off days as well.
I do.. but honest truth I've worked at some places where an off day like that guaranteed it would be your last

Fair enough, I've never seen that in my line of work, nor have I seen an entire team penalized a weeks wages for something that didn't go well. But every industry is different I suppose.
