Chelsea Football Club (also known as The Blues and The Pensioners) are a professional football club based in Fulham, London. Chelsea were founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher's Hook) after Gus Mears had previously acquired the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football ground. Since there was already a team named Fulham in the borough, the name of the adjacent borough, the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea, was settled on.

Chelsea's first major title success came in the form of the League Cup with the appointment of former Arsenal player, Ted Drake, who also led Chelsea to the their first ever League title, enabling them to compete in the European Cup, but after objections from The Football League and the FA, Chelsea were persuaded to withdraw from the competition before it started - allowing Matt Busby's Manchester United to start their illustrious adventure with the competition.

After decades of being non-competitors, Chelsea returned to the domestic title fore in 2003 under new owner Roman Abramovich, who fueled an unprecedented spending spree - starting in the mid 2000s. Since the takeover, Chelsea have won 1 Champions League title, 5 Premier League titles, 4 FA Cup titles, 1 Europa League title, and 3 League Cup titles, among others. Chelsea's most prominent rivalries include local clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, title rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Leeds United. Chelsea play their home games at Stamford Bridge - which had been their home for over a century.

You just know Chelsea will be fired up for it after their 3-0 loss today.

Interesting. A similar situation as we were in going into the Liverpool game. Chelsea's defence looks shaky to say the least.

Roma played in the 2 matches like Chelsea were a normal team, no special respect given. No buses parked. We don't need to give Chelsea more respect than they deserve.

    Team should be...

    ---------------De Gea---------------
    ----Bailly----Smalling----Jones----
    Valencia-Herrera--Matic-----Young
    --Rashford---Lukaku---Martial--

Subs: Romero, Darmian, Lindelof, McTominay, Mata, Mhkitaryan, Lingard

We're going to this game with 3 field players having started midweek, Chelsea with 9, probably. Could be a difference later in the game, as it was with Tottenham.

I hate this game at Stamford Bridge. One of the least hostile and intimidating stadiums and yet we still usually turn to sh*t.

I very much doubt that front line is going to happen, midfield needs protection from a playmaker, specially when Chelsea could play 3-5-1-1 and we probably will need speed there later in the game.

There will be more things happening in the press conferences. With our record at SB + Mourinho's negativity in the big games a draw is the best I'll hope for.

I know Chelsea looks there for the tacking but I won't get carried away, gonna be a very tough match like any game at the Bridge.

Interesting how the tactical fight between Mourinho and Conte goes on after their last encounter. I'm predicting the same lineup as that of Spurs game.

As I said on Anfield game, a draw is a good result, snatch the win and I'm over the moon.

1-0 to us and Conte sacked on Monday morning would be ideal. Please make it happen lads.

    Our Bogey ground no doubt.

Won one League game there in over 15 years.

It's a staggeringly awful record really.

They look leggy already and it's only November.
We shouldn't lose but we need Lukaku and Rashford to perform if we want to win

Need to win really. City will win and Chelsea really aren’t all that. We need the narrative to change in our favour and a decent performance and a win would go a long way to doing that.

We will go for a draw. Maybe rightly so.
Rightly so? They’ve had a soft spot this season and it’s early so no huge bearing on the result. We need to make a statement. How can we justify going for a draw after what Man City did to them the other week? Would be cowardly as feck.

    Red Card for Casemiro!
Chelsea will be looking to attack and take initiative. They'll be hurting from the drubbing at Roma.

I would love for us to hit them on the counter and grab a few. Wish we had Pogba fit for this one - he would have found the through balls to Lukaku, Martial and Rashford.

2-0 to us, you heard it here first.

I don't think so. Away in the cup we pressed high and followed through with our gameplay at Old Trafford.
Jose obviously has an idea on how to play Chelsea, there isn't really a reason to deviate from this when Chelsea are even worse than last year.

We never ever win at Stamford bridge, i think when it was built, they cursed it with our name . Chelsea might go bankrupt, go down 10 divisions they still would win against us.

Surely they watch the tape from previous performances and learn from it?

you have to respect the opposition. It is Chelsea in Stamford Bridge. A draw would be a good result.

Stamford Bridge away is always a tough game and they will be up for it real bad, especially with Mourinho as our manager. Will be a tough game.

Chelsea were lucky to not lose by at least 5 tonight.
I watch the highlights and they had some pretty good chances on their own.
Saying all that they're in a poor form and we should take advantage.
Still we have 2 big problems, Pogba missing and their ground where we always suck.
