Chelsea Football Club (also known as The Blues and The Pensioners) are a professional football club based in Fulham, London. Chelsea were founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher's Hook) after Gus Mears had previously acquired the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football ground. Since there was already a team named Fulham in the borough, the name of the adjacent borough, the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea, was settled on.

Chelsea's first major title success came in the form of the League Cup with the appointment of former Arsenal player, Ted Drake, who also led Chelsea to the their first ever League title, enabling them to compete in the European Cup, but after objections from The Football League and the FA, Chelsea were persuaded to withdraw from the competition before it started - allowing Matt Busby's Manchester United to start their illustrious adventure with the competition.

After decades of being non-competitors, Chelsea returned to the domestic title fore in 2003 under new owner Roman Abramovich, who fueled an unprecedented spending spree - starting in the mid 2000s. Since the takeover, Chelsea have won 1 Champions League title, 6 Premier League titles, 8 FA Cup titles, 2 Europa League titles, and 5 League Cup titles, among others. Chelsea's most prominent rivalries include local clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, title rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Leeds United. Chelsea play their home games at Stamford Bridge - which had been their home for over a century.

It'll be De Gea starting of course, but should be Henderson.
    Henderson
    Wan Bissaka Bailly Maguire Shaw
    McTominay Fred
    James Bruno Rashford
    Greenwood
If Cavani is fit then he's definitely starting up top. If McTominay not fit then it's Matic in midfield. Prefer Henderson and Bailly to Lindelof and De Gea, but it'll likely be the latter 2.

Hopefully Cavani and McTominay fit. I'd play Bailly but we all know Ole.

De Gea, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, AWB, Fred, McTominay, Bruno, Rashford, Cavani, Greenwood

    2-1 Chelsea.

Think our unbeaten run will come to an end.

Very very tough this one considering the form of both teams. Beside Tuchel probably knows us very well by now.

Hard to predict this. I just hope we'll play well and try to take the game to them.

Looking at how we are playing recently. I expect Chelsea to dominate due to the sloppiness of the whole team so likely beatable away streak will be over.

I think the team Ole will go for is this.

    ...................DDG........................
    AWB..Lindelof...Maguire..Shaw
    .............Fred........Matic.............
    James........Bruno..........Rashford
    ...................Martial......................

James seems to be back in favour at the minute unfortunately so I think he will get the nod over Greenwood.

    Am worried about Giroud.
Lindelof was bullied a bit by Giroud in the FA cup, last season, but he wouldn't get on top of Bailly.
If Werner plays then they will try to get him in behind a lot, so if it's Lindelof and Maguire, then I think we're stuffed.
Would love Henderson and Bailly to start. AWB and Shaw, Fred and McTominay, with Bruno, Greenwood, Rashford and Cavani.

    Want to see this

    -----------Henderson--------------
    AWB---Bailly----Maguire-----Shaw
    --------Scotty-------Fred-----------
    James--------Bruno-------Rashford
    ------------Greenwood-------------

De Gea has ballsed up a lot recently against Chelsea - cost us a cup final last year and top 4 the year before. Can't afford anymore costly errors with them on our tails. No Cavani so let's go with Mason up top. Why not? He's playing well, Martial isn't.

Have a feeling Lindelof, Martial and De Gea will all play though.

I would rather not see Cavani. I think Tuchel will tell Kante to stay on Bruno the entire game. I hope our final third steps up. It should be a great game, so it will be a snooze fest with 1-0 going either way.

I'm guessing McTominay and Cavani will be back for this, if not then I hope Ole has a good think about midfield as the Fred/Matic combination looks really awkward, and up top I imagine it'll be Martial if Cavani is still out. Surely Bailly starts.......

I don't care about any other positions bar Defence,

Surely, fecking surely Ole must see that he cannot continue to play Maguire & Lindelof together, it just doesn't work, it never has, it never will, just stop with it, it's a recipe for disaster,

Start Bailly & Lindelof or Bailly & Maguire , that's all I ask!

Not sure about this one, we haven’t been playing great lately and Chelsea seem to be progressing under the new manager but our counter play could be perfect up against Tuchel’s possession based style.

It's now more than ever when realise the loss of Lampard. Two games against his Chelsea side in Stamford Bridge was two Man United wins.

In Tuchel Chelsea have a clear upgrade and they have got their new manager bounce. Uniteds unbeaten away league record from January 2020 is in danger here and to earn at least a draw it would greatly help if McTominay and Cavani are fit to start. Ole I might add is hopeful they will both feature on Sunday

I'm pretty sure it was Maguire who got bullied in that game, more than Lindelof. I was very surprised Frank Lampard didn't play Giroud against us earlier in the season after he pretty much bossed us in that FA cup game.

Our unbeaten away record will most likely come to an end on Sunday. Chelsea has always been our toughest match-up especially at Stamford Bridge where we never seem to win, I think our recent good record against them was solely due to Lampard. We also have failed to beat any traditional big teams this season. I will kill for a draw now just to maintain our gap between them and keep our unbeaten away record.

I agree. We seem to match up well with this Chelsea side.
3-1. AWB to just body Werner all game.
Could see this as the kind of game where we won't be able to get out of our half, but then Chelsea won't have the cutting edge to threaten anything over the halfway line.

    0-0

Need key players back for this. Bailly needs to start especially with their pace up front.

Midfield will be an interesting selection

Chelsea play mindnumbingly boring possessive football under Tuchel, and we always set up without the ball to counter against big teams. No Pogba or even McTominay in midfield is a massive miss too.

Bore draw, or a tight win either way without a substantial amount of chances created in the entire game.

£10 on 0-0 is a good shout, you can always cash out if you get a bit twitchy after an hour.

I would be quite surprised if there's more than 1 goal.

I'll be pleased to get anything from this to be honest. I think their extra rest will be key and we've not got the depth in midfield with our current injuries to handle the Thursday-Sunday turnaround.

Sort of expecting us to get properly dragged into the top 4 fight this weekend.
