We lacked quality and still have some obvious weaknesses, but what exactly did Chelsea do? They started defensively and then went on to make defensive subs. Hard to score against such a setup.
Stupid from them really. It is a better point for us than them. They should be going for the win at home.

Disappointing lack of desire to win the game, but a point away at Chelsea is never a result to have a meltdown about. Especially given the fact we're not in a title chase.

Well with utmost confidence I can say we are not winning any major honours anytime soon.

We need a serious injection of quality on and off the pitch.

Manchester United have now gone eight league games without a goal from open play against Big Six teams, stretching back to March 8, 2020.
A lot more would be made of that stat if there werent so many rabid ole fanboys around

Unless an individual (namely Bruno) can pull something out of the bag, the limitations of the coaching this team gets is all too obvious. Not even the most blinkered of Ole supporters can dispute that after six 0-0 games!

If that is progress...Ok, the 4th place trophy it'll be then every season!

No doubt Ole will talk about the penalty
Is that not a good thing? When you consider Fred vs Fulham, Cavani vs Southampton and now Greenwood vs Chelsea, since Klopp made those comments, we’ve been close to cheated in terms of pens. Problem is he won’t talk about it, to maintain his nice guy image I think because I’m not sure why else he doesn’t hammer refs when they get things wrong.

Anyway, tumescent performance from both teams, leading to the obvious result. I predicted 0-0 and I’m sure many others did too. We always do this in games against the big 6, and these are points dropped because Chelsea will make 3 on us next weekend, because the City game sure ain’t ending 0-0, and unfortunately it doesn’t look good for us in regards to that one. Put it this way, I’d rather 5 wins and 5 losses in top 6 games, but clearly Ole prefers 10 draws. One yields 15 points, the other 10 :houllier:

That's not their role to create. It's get it Bruno but unfortunately he's not been on it today....
Well then what are they doing at the heart of the United midfield if they can't create?! They should be taking some responsibility from Bruno and try and come up with something, telling them to not create completely negates the centre of the field for us to try and attack into.

The 3 unmarked players also flatlined in a way it turned 50-50. Either he got the perfect ball in or the attack went to shit.

    Too easy to defend that.
Agreed. It was a crap pass but our running was absolutely rubbish. That’s either a lack of football intelligence or simply bad coaching. Either way, it’s not good.

Perfectly happy with the result. With Leicester and West Ham losing, very happy to gain a point on them after a tough away game - and Chelsea miss the chance to catch up any on us.

I'm not particularly comfortable with our tactics against the 'big six' in the league - still just one goal against them this season. But it was fine to do it this game, and a draw is a good result away to Chelsea. We've just got to make sure we go and beat Palace to reinforce that. If we fail to win there, suddenly 1 or 2 points from 2 games, with City away next, starts to look a very bad week. 4 points from them is great, with anything gained from City away being a complete bonus.

Yeah course he will but where is his response to Klopp's jibe about the number of penalties, he has said nothing on it whatsoever and we wonder why we never get any decisions in our favour.

Cant understand some posts here, where do you think we actually are, In progress? This was Chelsea away, with a new manager, and it was a even game , on the better chances they had 1, otherwise this was a decent display, controlled large amounts of the game, we could have pushed imo Mctom further up in latter stages, that then opens up the CM for them so it was a cagey game from both sides.

It's where both teams are at present, a point is ok, a win would be better but a loss would have been to most a disaster going by some posts.
Overall I thought it was a good performance, maybe a bit more composure on breaks we get a goal.

Manager and players. It will be nil nil at best next weekend also. Ole's job is more important to him than us taking teams on. Unfortunately I think the board are more than happy.
You have absolutely nailed it there perfectly

If people are asking for the manager to be sacked after this game, wow was it that bad then ??
That poster wants Ole sacked regardless.

We weren't great but neither were Chelsea. Bruno had an absolute stinker and most were below par. We messed up every opportunity we had to get at them with poor passing.

So we are going to accept that we have turned into Spurs. No silverwear, make top 4, not one of the greatest clubs in the world any more.

Who would be a better option to replace ole then and what would it benefit in doing it? We've seen it before with LVG , Jose a new manager comes in and rips the squad to shreds then asks a board to spend on players who are unreachable to change the team they want to build, to keep there job, not the interest of them club. Imo we stick with what we got.

What the ref said to Maguire is a clear indication that outside influence works and that's appalling, the FA need to start docking points for managers and clubs saying stuff like that, but of course at least other clubs take us as enough of a threat that they feel the need to do this. Maybe we need to make more noise about City not getting penalised for tactical fouls and getting all the easy draws in competitions. That said it was a pretty dull performance, I dont think we were ever bothered about winding and what the pundits were saying seems right, we aren't even bothered about trying to catch City, which we never would have but theres no reason to bloody give up.

Us fans shouldn't and some of the players certainly shouldn't. However we also have players who have won the lottery by playing for us, the only direction would be down should they leave so they are more than content. We also have owners and a board who come to work to make money as a business, not win us trophies. The summer will be no different and next season won't be either. It's just rinse and repeat until we change owners and have qualified people running our recruitment and coaching.

People can say what they like but this wasn't a clueless performance like the other three managers we've had. The reality is the title hope was gone before this match. Keeping second place and the top is four what's at stake.

There is a bearded clown on YouTube who talks about what he tells 'his kids' (that he coaches, I guess). Well this is not a game played by kids with child awards at stake. Stayingo six points clear of Chelsea is better than being three points clear.

Didn’t catch it. What did he say? Was it the usual pussyfooting or did he really go in on them, in particular this guy who Shaw exposed to be a cheat? Would be delighted with Ole if it’s the latter.

Like the England Rugby match yesterday, the official spoiled the game. Att well not quite as bad a Pascal Gauzere (Taffy to his mates) but how can anyone say the Chelsea player didn’t handle that ball??? The camera doesn’t lie. Sour Souness banged on again about 35 penalties in two seasons and Chelsea had posted about Maguire diving or something.
We were still clueless in front of goal but Fred did get one on target! Ole has settled for second place I think now.

Basically, the ref today was afraid of backlash from the media if he gave the CHO handball pen on Greenwood, and told Maguire as much. At the risk of sounding like Ty, this is straight up corruption and cheating.

What game are you watching? Greenwood has been our best forward.
    How so?

What exactly did he do? He couldn't make any passes in the final third and when he did they we're sloppy.

I love Greenwood but this wasn't his best game.
