Chelsea Football Club (also known as The Blues and The Pensioners) are a professional football club based in Fulham, London. Chelsea were founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher's Hook) after Gus Mears had previously acquired the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football ground. Since there was already a team named Fulham in the borough, the name of the adjacent borough, the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea, was settled on. Chelsea's first major title success came in the form of the League Cup with the appointment of former Arsenal player, Ted Drake, who also led Chelsea to the their first ever League title, enabling them to compete in the European Cup, but after objections from The Football League and the FA, Chelsea were persuaded to withdraw from the competition before it started - allowing Matt Busby's Manchester United to start their illustrious adventure with the competition.

After decades of being non-competitors, Chelsea returned to the domestic title fore in 2003 under new owner Roman Abramovich, who fueled an unprecedented spending spree - starting in the mid 2000s. Since the takeover, Chelsea have won 2 Champions League titles, 5 Premier League titles, 5 FA Cup titles, 2 Europa League titles and 3 League Cup titles. On 10 March 2022, the British government announced sanctions on Abramovich with Chelsea allowed to operate under a special license until 31 May. Subsequently, Chelsea confirmed that terms had been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. On 30 May 2022, the sale was completed, ending Abramovich's 19 year ownership of the club. Chelsea's most prominent rivalries include local clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, title rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Leeds United. Chelsea play their home games at Stamford Bridge — which had been their home for over a century.

If anyone important steps onto the field in this and gets injured, Amorim needs to be sacked after the match.

17th place West Ham have nothing to play for and comfortably bat us aside at Old Trafford.

How do we think 5th place Chelsea, desperate to secure CL football, will do at Stamford Bridge?

I mean, football doesn't always work like that. But the probability is massive.

Just forget it’s even happening and watch highlights of the last two Europa rounds instead.

Barring a miracle, this looks like a nailed on defeat.
Worryingly , another dismal display like today’s against WHU, won’t set us up nicely for next weeks Final.

    .

We ain’t winning another league game this season.

Ye footballs weird. I mean we avoided defeat to city and got a draw at Anfield this season by playing decent.

Why bother anymore. If the team can't be arsed in the league I don't feel arsed either.

I’ll be working and so I won’t be watching. Would I watch if I wasn’t working? Of course I would and after each Chelsea goal I’d stick another pin in my eyes. We’re such a painful watch right now. They just have to pull it together for Spurs and sort this mess out in the summer.

Likelier pull Spurs off than beat them

Think it will be another humiliation. 4 or 5-0 I suppose.

They have still something to play so I wouldn't risk anyone.

No injuries is the absolute top priority.

Other then that, don't really care... Ideally we try and keep the goals concede to 2 or 3.

This is the kind of game we're actually more likely dig a draw out of.

90 minutes of Neville talking about how bad Utd are and brilliant Palmer is regardless of how the game goes

I'm vaguely optimistic about this one. If there's one team in the league that's capable of losing to our breast feeding squad in their home turf, it's Chelsea.

This is even less important than the West Ham match. Just put out some reserve players with kids and have them sit behind the ball all match. Keep the scoreline as respectable as possible, then get home.

both of which are pretty much correct - but I don't reckon he'll be the pundit on the night, he'll do the Arsenal-Barcodes game on Sunday.

And I've just noticed our game isn't on Sly Premier League, it's on Sky Main Event - which means I won't get to see it. fecking bloody Rupert Murdoch. Spurs game is on the PL channel

Bruno will definitely start and Casemiro will get some minutes. I think the starting XI will be:

    Onana
    Lindelof Maguire Fredrickson
    Dorgu Casemiro Bruno Amass
    Amad Garnacho
    Hojlund
Casemiro, Amad, Garnacho and Hojlund will come off in the 60th minute to be replaces by Ugarte, Mount, Eriksen and Obi. Maguire will come off too for Evans, likely.

Our players are currently petrified of getting injured in another dead rubber. Weirdly enough, starting players with no hope of starting in the EL could probably be our best chance of winning this

Chelsea are about to play in a European Final too right?

Not as desperate for them to win in Europe, but they'll have an eye on it.
