    I think Shaw would be the better solution. Maz was bad last game, but we can’t move our best CM especially when the alternative is Ugarte.

    I’d go must not lose. 7 points would still be a healthy gap with 5 games to go if we draw. A win does completely finish them off though. Lose and it’s twitchy then. Don’t fancy that scenario.

    Maybe Carrick could do something crazy like adapt? Play 4-3-3 with Casemiro playing as a centre back off the ball in a 5-2-3 ish formation, and moving forward or offloading when we have it. He doesn’t have to be near the box when we’re away from home at a team like Chelsea. We’d hopefully expect Bruno and Mainoo to step up, Case can just help out back there, bring some experience and play a lot deeper than he has been.

    Yeah same here, only 3 wins in 24 years
     
    Park the bus and hopefully hit them on the counter. We need at least a draw out of this, but even at that our recent run of results and performances have been appalling to say the least.

    Our midfield is already short on numbers. Why take our best midfielder out of his preferred position? Heaven and Yoro will be just fine.

    Just fine, how will they be exactly with no experience?
     
    Could be madness, but could be worth going for a Yoro, Heaven, Shaw back three with Dalot and Mazraoui at wing-back.

    I’d much rather have players playing in their natural positions rather than playing our best midfielder as a CB. Heaven is a naturally left sided CB, who has played very well in big moments, he and Yoro should be given a chance.
     
    So Heaven and Yoro partnership.

    What's the status of Mainoo?
     
    Another loss without Maguire.

    Top 5 will look very difficult after this.
     
    Get as much experience as possible in the team.

    Shaw at CB with one of Yoro/Heaven. Dalot RB. Mazraoui LB.

    Mbeumo in for Amad.
     
    Yoro and Heaven just have to step up now, more injuries and rotation is what is going to happen if we have European football next season so just need to get on with it. The only alternative is to play Shaw at CB and switch Mazraoui or Dalot to LB.

    No nonsense like playing Casemiro at CB, he is really struggling at the moment defensively in midfield and would be a liability at CB.

    A draw would be a really good result, I still think Chelsea will win as we have a terrible record there but they aren’t playing well.
     
    Those who have mainoo in theitr lone up, how confident are you he is back ?
    Everytime united have said its a small issue player has been out for weeks if not months .
    I d be surprised if he is back .
    Our record at SB is shite in PL. 2 wins since 2012 .
    If we dont lose and keep the gap to 7 points to them with 5 games to go, that would be a good result . I dont see us conceding less than 2 though. Our defense looked out of sorts and teams seem to have figured out how to outplay us on the wings . Need to get a result .

    Probably, it did work well against better opponents. That said the fan base are too emotionally immature to ever see 352 again.
     
    As expected, United back down to earth at home. Now going to a tough away place.

    Think we will keep getting done by the refs until someone actually knocks one out or we sue PGMOL.

    Honestly don’t think the conniving pricks ban him if we beat Leeds.

    Seems they waited to see which way the wind blew in that game before acting. They took over 3 weeks to decide, it’s fishy at best.
     
    I’m sorry but this is not a “must win”. It’s a game that would be great to win as we’d been home and hosed pretty much, but even if we lose we’d be in a great position. Chelsea can beat us but they aren’t going to go on a winning run after with LinkedIn Liam at the helm.

    I don’t believe that to be true at all.

    Most online seemed to take issue with being completely wedded to it when it was yielding poor results. A better manager might have got further with some form of 343.

    I’d happily go 3/5 at back for this one, because we don’t need to win it. If we needed to win though….
     
    At this point it feels like they are going to bring Martin Atkinson out of retirement just to screw us even further.

    Yeah at an absolute graveyard for us, our only wins in the last 24 years was 2002, 2012 and 2020. So looks like we are due a win there again in 2030 according to the pattern.
