Crystal Palace Football Club (nicknamed CPFC, The Glaziers and The Eagles) are a professional football club based in South Norwood, London. Crystal Palace were founded in 1905 at the site of the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building by the owners of the FA Cup Final stadium, who wanted their own team to play at the historic venue. When Crystal Palace were founded, they turned to one of the biggest clubs in the country at the time, Aston Villa, to seek advice. Villa helped the club in a number of ways, not least by donating their kit. As a result, Palace's colors were originally claret and blue shirts paired with white shorts, socks tending to be claret. They kept to this formula fairly consistently until 1938.

The club initially played their home games at the FA Cup Final stadium which was situated inside the grounds of The Crystal Palace, but the First World War saw them forced to move out, and they enjoyed a number of seasons at both the Herne Hill Velodrome and The Nest. Although Crystal Palace have never won a major trophy, they have played in the First Division for the majority of their existence, finishing 3rd once, and losing the 1990 FA Cup Final to Manchester United. Crystal Palace play their homes games at Selhurst Park, and share sporting rivalries with South London neighbors Milwall, former tenants Charlton, and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Hopefully Martial is fit and then we can have him instead of Fred but best to be careful as can’t afford another attacker to be injured. Likes of Chong, Garner and Greenwood on the bench if fit.

Give the youth a go, and also try out Fred. He can't be worse than Pereira.

    Give Fredge a game.

Lingard and Mata being out means Sanchez starts..
Ander and Matic are the bigger misses.. we dont really have decent backups..

Someone needs to step up big time...

or play Jones in midfield.. because why not .

Sod's law to have a random midweek set of Premier league games this week isn't it!

You can't see any of the injured lot being available, and if Martial wasn't deemed fit for the bench, but Lingard was, then it's surely risky to put him into the squad midweek.

Will have to dig deep on Wednesday as Palace have looked decent recently.

I can't see Lingard, Rashford, Mata, Herrera, or Matic making this one. Hopefully, Martial can at least return to the bench to fill one void but we're going to have to use the likes of Chong, Greenwood, and Gomes for sure.

It might be a case of starting Dalot and Young on the right, or three at the back with Lukaku and Sanchez up front. I still think Fred might not get a start which will be very telling.

I reckon Matic and Rashford will be fine.

Lingard and Herrera need at least 3 weeks for their hammy's to recover.

Matic and Mata's chances will depend on the tour of injury.

Martial will hopefully make it given that he was touch-and-go for today.

The front 3 will be Martial, Rashford and Lukaku/Sanchez.

The midfield will be Pogba, McTominay and *someone". Probably Pereira if Matic is out, but I'd like to see Fred.

Selhurst Park seems to be your new Villa Park.

That 3-2 comeback win in last minute last year and pretty sure you've won a couple of other games last minute since they were promoted back in 2013. A ground United rarely lose at anyway.

That said Palace are tough to score against and have all their attacking options fit so with Man. United injuries think this will be a bit of a struggle for you guys to win.

    1-1 or 2-1 Palace.

Not sure how you can be confident on Rashford. Yes he made it through 90, but he was at about 30%. Next to no threat, and merely a player on a pitch to hold position.

Still, the main positive is that Lukaku and Sanchez will get a few games, to show whether they can be valid contributors next season, or need a shipping.

I heard Ole say before the match that Matic has a muscle injury and will be out for weeks. Don't think we'll be seeing him before the international break.

If it was a muscle or tendon/ligament injury, he have been taken off.

The way he was moving, it looked like some kind of soreness, bruising, lack of conditioning. He completed a couple of full pace runs in the match

Think it was an adrenaline fuelled occasion today. Think we will drop points when back down to the nitty gritty of normal fixtures.

Tbh I don't really care about CL football - it's not as though we really challenge anyway.

I just want Ole to build something special over a concerted period of time. He's done a brilliant job.

Actually with all the injuries maybe a start for Angel Gomes as the 10 behind Sanchez and Lukaku? Greenwood to get subbed on? Would be nice to see.

They're on a bit of a bounce are Palace. Unbeaten in their last 4. Playing good as a team too, and not just relying on Zaha.

Carrick and Solskjaer might want to take their boots with them, just in case.

Our injuries look like they will be out for couple of weeks or so. And the idea of playing Mctominay and Periera just makes me feel not so confident going forward at all. Hope injuries will not end our hopes for 4th.
