Double decker bus coming. Happy they wouldn't be chasing us like Southampton. Should win this. More worried about Moyes.

Think Fenandes hit the wall last night, understandable and he needs a breather, and I think AWB does as well, and if Shaw/Williams ain't fit i'd go:

    De Gea
    Laird Lindelof Maguire Fred
    McTominay Timbo
    James Pogba Rashford
    Martial

    1-4
Fred as a lb? We have Dalot. Fosu Mensah playing? Before him I would play even freaking Pereira, Mata or give Gardner a chance.

After the performance against Southampton, not fancying this one. But we really have to put in a proper display here. There's no room for any goof ups, unfortunately. We are the ones chasing.

If we need to use Dalot at LB, what a chance it would be to use Laird at RB. Rest AWB, I'd bring Fred in and move Pogba further upfield to rest Bruno them rest Pogba against Chelsea to tighten up our midfield in that game. Mctominay and Fred behind Pogba would be good enough to beat Palace. Same front 3, they look fine.

    Martial
    Rashford - Pogba - Greenwood
    McTominay - Fred
    Dalot - Maguire - Lindelof - Laird
    De Gea

Ole isn’t going to be drafting in the likes of Laird now. He’s going to go with the same sort of team and we will just have to cope with people like AWB being off the pace. Terrible match management in the end yesterday has put us in an awkward situation, and the FA Cup will likely need to be sacrificed now.

We’re absolutely sh*t at the moment and Roy will hand you the initiative from the get-go with his 3 defensive midfielders (even though we’ve got absolutely nothing to lose).

    0-4.

I can't see us winning this game after last night bottle job. I fecking hope I am wrong but it would be so predictable, I hope Ole manages to lift them up.

Southampton was always going to be the toughest one among Crystal Palace, West Ham & Leicester. Roy & Moyes play similar football not the same as Ralph while Leicester is losing lot of their defense. Southampton been beating lot of top teams since their 9-0 defeat. Beat Spurs, Chelsea, City & Leicester.

We should be aiming to go same XI except for LB due to injury. May be rest Matic since he didn't come off yesterday. Why people want us to rest, rest players in FA cup instead.

Been watching them recently ever since the restart. Gotta admit they really bad since the restart, look so all over the place compared to the old Crystal Palace I normally watched. They left massive gaps between the defense & midfield so often, Chelsea was lucky not to score more goals and silly to even let them score 2 goals because it should have been a comfortable win for them. To make it worse for them, Cahill is still injured.

We're awful at the moment, average age of our first team is 31 and we've been found out big time with games coming at this intensity. Not to mention Roy's fixation on playing the same underperforming players game in, game out rather than bringing in fresh legs.

We've also lost Benteke for the season now so we don't have a recognised (and I use the term loosely in his case) centre-forward. All doom and gloom down at Selhurst at the moment and I expect if you come out of the blocks quickly (as I expect you to) it'll be the most comfortable evening you have all season.

We'll be four points behind Chelsea by the time this kicks off. We will have to rotate as some of the players looked knackered last night and I don't think they'll recover in time for this.

From last night's lineup, one of the fullbacks, Matic and one of the front three, should be rested. I'd expect Dalot/Williams, Fred/McTominay and Ighalo to start.

We went a goal down against both Bournemouth and Southampton before we started playing and Villa were all over us until a dodgy penalty brought us back in the game. United coming out of the blocks quickly is one of the least likely things in football. It can happen, sure, after all, Leicester won the league once, but I wouldn't expect it.

Palace are woeful and nothing to play for so shouldn't put up much fight. Clearly not like Southamptom who seem to be scrapping for every point. If we can't beat Palace and West Ham when everything depends on it then we don't deserve the Champions League.

We need to change a few players though and get some fresh legs in.

I can't believe the negativity. Southampton was always going to be a tough game. They are very good at an organised high press and that was and has continued to be our weakness. Crystal Palace on the other hand doesn't do that and will most likely park the bus. As long as we have Bruno Pogba Greenwood Martial and Rashford, we will beat any smaller opposition that parks the bus

Agree. I was hoping for either Fred or McTominay in midfield to give us some legs in there, always thought that Matic, Pogba and Bruno was not dynamic enough for the Southampton game, but did say I would go with whatever Ole picked. Thought Matic would be a better bet v Palace as they don't press like Southampton do, and last night would have given Fred and McTominay a good run out before the Chelsea game ( yes I would play them both in that one).

Rest Greenwood, and don't start one of Pogba or Bruno. They both look done yesterday and we need something from the bench.

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Williams/Dalot
    Pogba Matic Fred
    Rashford Ighalo Martial

Subs to come on - Bruno, McT, James, Mata, Greenwood

I'm honestly expecting a tough game from them. Hodgson won't be happy that they've lost 5 in a row and Palace are the type of team who always give us a difficult game. Maybe a bit of rotation is needed after that Southampton game.

Funny thing 6 months ago I hated the double deckers, I wanted teams to come out like the saints did, now I prefer them to park it and let us probe and destroy them.

Very concerned about the prospect of Dalot at LB in this one, can see him being the reason for more dropped points. Pray one of Shaw or Williams can make it

I agree with the general sentiment re resting Bruno for this one; he has played a crazy amount of football since the restart. Also think Matic is in desperate need of a rest, so McTominay and Fred should both come in. Wouldn't be surprised if Ole sticks with the same front three though. Surely we expect Williams to be right for this one? I know it was a head clash but he didn't seem too bad when he came off.

We drew a game and all the rubbish XIs are being whipped out. I would field the same XI if everyone is fit to play.

I don't want to see Dalot anywhere near right back never mind left back - he is truly awful. I'd rather play Fred at LB.

Williams should be fine as long as he isn't concussed.

Agree. Southampton played really well and were super aggressive. Even then we still could have easily won the game. Play the same team if everyone is fit please

Southampton are a significantly better side than Palace and I would expect them to be pushing for Europe next season. Ings is a constant threat with his movement and finishing ability, Redmond takes players on and scores goals, Armstrong is a quality midfielder that supports the attack and scores goals, they've got good overlapping fullbacks, strong set-pieces from JWP and quick impact players like Obafemi that they can bring off the bench to make a difference. Just a really good upper mid-table side at the moment with a very good manager.

Now Palace. Excellent goalkeeper but beyond that I am struggling. Very old back 4 with one full back that can attack but not defend and another one who can defend but not attack. Pedestrian, old midfield with absolutely no creativity or technical quality, no centre forward whatsoever, one winger who doesn't want to be there and another who does his best work on Talksport these days and is no threat whatsoever. Add in no pressing, useless set-pieces (1 goal from 165 corners), a pathetic subs bench that the manager refuses to use anyway and a general park the bus mentality and I think we may have a bloodbath on our hands.

I haven't seen how bad the cut was on Williams and if there is risk of concussion. I think the Palace game is going to come too soon for both of him and Shaw, so I am expecting Dalot to start. Palace will probably try and play Zaha on the right as he usually doesn't have the beating of Wan-Bissaka anyway.

I don't see a reason to change much else bar maybe McTominay or Fred in for Matic.

    de Gea
    Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Dalot
    Pogba Fred
    Fernandes
    Greenwood Martial Rashford

I fully expect us to break them down and win. Two changes seems fine with one forced and one clearly being Matic getting a bit leggy after multiple games in a row in quick succession. If we can get the couple of goals we need to likely win this game, I can see all of Bailly, McTominay, James, Ighalo and Mata getting subbed on.

I think you can make a case for resting one of the front three, in favour of Ighalo.

Pogba and Fernandes also look pretty knackered, but I'm more nervous about dropping one of them.
