Crystal Palace Football Club (nicknamed CPFC, The Glaziers and The Eagles) are a professional football club based in South Norwood, London. Crystal Palace were founded in 1905 at the site of the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building by the owners of the FA Cup Final stadium, who wanted their own team to play at the historic venue. When Crystal Palace were founded, they turned to one of the biggest clubs in the country at the time, Aston Villa, to seek advice. Villa helped the club in a number of ways, not least by donating their kit. As a result, Palace's colors were originally claret and blue shirts paired with white shorts, socks tending to be claret. They kept to this formula fairly consistently until 1938.

The club initially played their home games at the FA Cup Final stadium which was situated inside the grounds of The Crystal Palace, but the First World War saw them forced to move out, and they enjoyed a number of seasons at both the Herne Hill Velodrome and The Nest. Although Crystal Palace have never won a major trophy, they have played in the First Division for the majority of their existence, finishing 3rd once, and losing the 1990 FA Cup Final to Manchester United. Crystal Palace play their homes games at Selhurst Park, and share sporting rivalries with South London neighbors Milwall, former tenants Charlton, and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Should be a comfortable win. Anything else and you suspect we may really be in trouble for top 4. The league form is crumbling a bit and we have played most of the other fodder.

We will play into Palace's hands, who have become a bit of a bogey team for us.

Woy's team will be defensively compact, and punish us on the counter.

Palace are absolute dog shit at the moment. Can't see where their next win will come from. It would be just like us to gift them some points, but we should really be winning this one.

This group of United players rarely do comfortable wins. A win for United would somewhat make up for the 3-1 Old Trafford loss against them this season.

Hopefully Cavani is fit to return.

They beat Brighton last Monday and drew with a clean sheet today.

Palace away is never easy. If they get any encouragement, they will be a handful. As usual, we need an early score to open the game up and then pass them to sleep.

90 mins of us slowly passing side to side whilst Palace sit 11 men behind the ball, hoping to break and score from a set piece.

Don't think McTominay looked fully fit so Matic might come in for this and Bailly should be rotated in, beyond that I think it'll be same as today.

A must 3 points here. If we can win this and somehow grab a draw against City then overall it won't have been a bad 3 game run including the draw today.

For me I want Bailly in the side otherwise stay the same with maybe Matic or VDB in. Martial I'm not sure on as James is in good form but getting Martial back in form has a much greater upside.

Hopefully Cavani is back. If not, same lineup as today I guess. Our problem is we don't have enough creativity throughout the midfield and attack. We need right wing creativity, and we need Pogba back to provide deeper creativity. Hope Bruno and Rashford are back to their best.

Hugely important that we win this game - so absolutely no resting players for the City match. This is bigger in my view, as it's much more winnable. 4 points from the Chelsea and Palace game would be great - with anything picked up in the City game just a complete bonus.

Hopefully Cavani will be back. If not, I can't see many changes - maybe Bailly will get a game before Lindelof returns for the City match? Maybe, if Cavani isn't back, then Martial in for James? But that means no striker on the bench.

So a few minor decisions to make, but just tweaks. Fundamentally: take the game very serious, and prioritise getting a win here rather than worrying in any way about the City match.

I don't think Zaha is back for them so that's a big plus if true. There shouldn't be much to fear here especially if United score first and should be an easy enough win.

Expect Matic and Bailly will come in as McTominay and Lindelof will be rested for the City game.

Our problems against them have been at OT. We tend to wipe the floor with them at Selhurst Park.

Any chance to see Pogba or Cavani? If the latter isn't fit, I hope Ole goes with Greenwood on top. He did well yesterday, and Martial's attempts at hold-up play is terrible to watch.

With our form, fixtures and league position. This is an absolute must win !

    ---------------------------De Gea-------------------------
    AWB-------------Bailly---------Maguire-----------Shaw
    -----------------------Fred----------Matic-------------------
    James------------------Fernandes-----------------Rashford
    -----------------------------Greenwood----------------------------

If Cavani is fit then he comes in for James.

Should be enough for a win. We really do need a CF / RW.

Pogba, no chance until mid March.Cavani? No idea
PS none of our lads are CFs who can hold the ball with their backs to goal

Not the game for James, they’ll sit deep and compact.

    DDG
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Fred Matic
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Cavani

If no Cavani, Greenwood up top and start Amad. Expect James back in for City.

Massive shame Mata is out for this. I love James but we cannot play him this game. He’s fantastic when we have to counter, which is why I’d start him against City, but diabolical against a low-block. Preferably:

    Henderson
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    McT Fred
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Cavani

If Cavani isn’t fit for this one, which unfortunately seems likely at this moment, then overload the middle to create as many chances as possible with this team:

    Henderson
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Fred
    McT VdB
    Bruno
    Mason Rashford

0-2 win for us either way.

It's been a long while since I've heard anyone say that Mata being out is a massive shame.

    Williams - Bailly - Maguire - Telles
    Matic
    Van de Beek - Fred
    Bruno
    Cavani - Martial
I'd like to see that for 45 minutes then adjust accordingly. Never gonna happen.
