    I dont think its the size issue with Mainoo. Its the mentality.

    Look at Zirkzee -- all of 6ft 3 and plays like a pussy. Seriously, these guys need to have a summer playing rugby to get used to physical contact.

    Its unbelievable that they can be so afraid of physical contact.

    Bruno has averaged what, 30 goals and assists a season since joining and Amorim plays him as a holding midfielder when the team is screaming out for goals. Everything is wrong right now and Amorim should not be allowed to continue.

    They were scoring but Cunha and sesko were linking things and keeping the ball moreso than what we have and allowing us to move forward. It also meant mbeumo had more space.

    I hate this stubborness on this system but we have some shocking players

    Surely the powers at United watch this and think it can’t go on like this. Is it 3 years until we’re not shit? Or is it he has to improve over 3 years?

    Because we haven’t gotten any better, with over a year of the players learning this utterly shite system. No one can surely think we’ll magically click and get better.

    Same old, same old. Play conservatively and wait for the eventual cock up from a United player.

    There's too many players in this team who shouldn't be playing at United, too eager to play the ball back and sideways rather than taking some initiative.
     
    Mount need to take on players instead of try to pass the moment he gets the ball. Allow other players to come into better position in attack.

    Hold the ball and carry to final third. No use in passing to one player who was surrounded by three defenders.

    Yes because that's a guarantee for success, as we're seeing with the massive success Liverpool are having with kerkez and isak.

    Where they come from doesn't matter. What matters is they are the correct profile with the correct skillset to be a success. Zirkzee wasn't ever going to be up to premier league football intensity.
     
    We got way to many players who struggle with even the most basic things. Zirkzee, Bruno, Casemiro, Yoro and Dalot have been awful today.
     
    Watching our team really is more of an ordeal than a pleasure.

    We have a great ability to half clear with our headers, and also be consistently late to the second balls.

    It’s just poor in every way.

    We desperately need some athleticism in the middle and at full back.

    Someone who can drive forwards with the ball and break the lines.

    We've had games where we've had Cunha, Sesko and Mbeumo up top and have looked just as toothless. Zirkzee, whilst not good enough, isn't the problem.
     
    If one needed a proof that Amorim has lost his marbles, how many shit FKs has Bruno taken since he's been here ?
    How can you watch this car crash and do feck all to rectify it ?
     
    Just a question, how many times has Amorim engineer a win from a losing position? I have seen us winning and ended up losing or drawing. I don't remember at any time that Amorim was able to turn the game on it's head. I believe that base on my current form that we will start drifting towards the bottom of table.
     
    Zirkzee is just too much of a negative. He’s killing attacks on his own. I’d rather see what this Lacey kid can do than watch Zirkzee continue to just give the ball away.
     
    This lot have nothing about them. No intensity, no battle nothing. Comes from the top. No plan, no standards nothing. Rubbish.
     
    A week to prepare against a team that played that the other night.

    Martinez for Yoro. Mainoo for Zirkzee. Dalot RCB, Shaw LWB, Bruno AM, Mainoo CM.
     
    Silly challenge from Yoro to give away the pen but they had way too many attempts at goal. Some last ditch defending and poor finishing from palace kept it at one goal.

    Zirkzee and Mount look hopeless, not sure how we score other than a set piece. It all comes back to Amorim and his insistence on playing this formation. You’d think with us being light in attack we wouldn’t play Amad and Bruno further away from the goal but hey that’s what we’ve become used to.

    The biggest difference between both teams are the back three. Ours get opened up and make mistakes while theirs is extremely solid and gives very little to opponents.

    He has been here for over a year and has yet to show even the slightest indication that he knows how to set up a team to win. He has no clue how to adjust to in game situations, his substitutions are pointless and he is so wedded to his system it is farcical.

    And a big part of that is down to the fundamental issue — we play about 7 players whose first instinct is to defend and play about 3 actual attackers in the entire side! Mbeumo is genuinely the only out and out attacker in that side. Mount is a midfielder, Zirkzee thinks he’s a 5ft8 you touch 5 a side player etc…

    I keep banging on about it but we purged the club of every winger we had and only signed one

    We need to pass it sideways, but with more intensity.

    I've not seen us use that trick of crossing the ball too high or too fast into the box yet. Why don't we try that?
