Palace have spent more time sprinting, covered more ground and they played 2 and a half days ago.

Work with what you have got…the endless “sack the manager” chat is annoying and dull.

Players have brains, win some more battles, do the very basics better.

    1-0 this ain’t a lost cause…yet!

*I wish Maguire was on the bench to call upon.
    but Amorim can't do that

it's always he needs this player, he needs that player, he needs new WB's, he needs new midfielders

now even though we know this team needs quality still, a manager is bang average when you have to rely on bringing a lot of 'quality' to 'see' if he can get us better

Tbf, Ten Hag did a much better job with nearly the same set of players - probably worse as he didn't have Cunha, Mbeumo or Lammens.

The least you could expect is comfortably top 6-8 with this set of players and no midweek football.

He also signed an absolute bunch of dross which has lead primarily to where we are.

I’m not sure how anyone could think this squad with its lack of depth would ‘comfortably’ finish 6th. The league is harder than you’re making out.

2.5 years of being a top 4 team based on results and performances. He plateaued and reached his limit but it wasn't that bad.
Youre using current context. Its better than now. Jesus even moyes was better than now. At the time the correct decision was made. The fact this club hasn't made better decisions since is irrelevant.

Mount is one of those players where you'd go "He's a really good player, did all he could, someone will snap him up" from a side that's just been relegated.

What is wrong about what I said? We only have a few players who aren’t shit. You can’t polish a turd. The manager isn’t good enough either but if this players actually somehow look better under another manager I will be VERY surprised.
We're set up like this because of Amorim. We have players like Mbeumo, Amad, Fernandes etc but haven't created a single good chance for the last game and a half.

He's so risk averse that he'll never deviate from the back 5. That's entirely on him

It's his fault Yoro made that stupid challenge.
I agree. I am also 100% sure he told Casemiro to be the worst player on the pitch not named Zirkzee and give the ball away as often as humanly possible whilst offering almost nothing defensively, too.

People going on about players but if we had Bruno in No.10, flanked by Mbeumo and Amad with Zirkzee up front we look a lot better. Still might not score but the chance of doing that increases.

Amorim has done well marginalise players not playing well and make them look useless. Right now Mainoo, Zirkzee and Ugarte are offering absolutely zero to the squad but I really do believe a manager making use of his squad and motivating them would be able to get something out of players not starting games.

Somethings got to change. No goal threat at all so far.
Id take zirkzee off and push bruno up front and play mainooo next to casamiro
He’s going to mix it up in the second half. Dorgu and Maz for Dalot and Amad, Ugarte for Casemiro, and at some point Mainoo for Mount.

Watching United is just an exercise in loyalty at this point. Because there’s nothing entertaining about United games and hasn’t been for a while.
I just have it on the side these days. Might as well get some work done while conceding goals.

So we win 3 in a row for the first time under Amorim and then we don’t win in 4 in a row. But after that we will win again and it’s a new start because we can’t judge him after his first full season.

I’m not even against Amorim or the system but this isn’t working out at all, for whatever reason.

Flipping sick of hearing how well Amorim speaks, McCoist said it again.

Give me a foul mouthed illiterate mananger and great football over this any day,

Zirkzee should not be playing in PL. He should play for a team in the middle of the Dutch league. Like Herenveen or Twente. He is among the worst strikers we have had in recent times - and there is a fight for that title.

Mbeumo is a good player. Amad is decent. Bruno is unfortunately past his prime and we’ll never get the original him back.

And we play a back 3, not a back 5.

Lose this and that should be the end of him.

    Edit.
    I mean getting sacked.
Well with 19 PL defeats from his 40 PL matches it should 100% be the last game he manages for the club, but we both know it won’t be !

Please all those Amorim in fans after today he will have a 47.5% loss rate in his first 40 PL matches, during which we’ve all seen a comprehensive body of work of 3421 resulting to 5221 terrible football, what makes any of you think he will ever get a Top 10 Finish let a lone mount a Title challenge, the level of delusion amongst Amorim Supporters is just beyond comprehension?

I agree. I am also 100% sure he told Casemiro to be the worst player on the pitch not named Zirkzee and give the ball away as often as humanly possible whilst offering almost nothing defensively, too.
And miss a chance from a yard out.

It’s so sad it’s funny
You can just imagine it now in the changing rooms.

Zirkzee is undergoing intensive stretching, as his legs haven't moved this fast in years.
Dalot is slipping all over the changing room in his flipflops.
Nobody knows where Mount is on the pitch. Nobody can find him in the changing room either. Where does he go?
Mainoo is sat in the corner. Brooding.
Bruno is shouting, but nobody is listening. Instead, he throws oranges at his teammates, but only about 1 actually makes it.

Then, there is the lesser-spotted Amorim. Crouched in the corner. Facing the toilet cubicle. Agonising over the lack of Maguire to save the day. Maybe Dorgu will work this time. It didn't work last time, but maybe it'll work now.

It's like every single match in the league is now a reminder and showcase of how woefully out of his depth this guy is in charge

    No changes or system changes.

Cant see us scoring with this set up. They will score again and rinse and repeat presser.

Facts.... Ole era is looking very different in hindsight

He always got a raw deal. He did a great job and was undone by trying to take us from a counter attacking team to a possession team without the personnel to do so. Then the players quit on him.

Youre using current context. Its better than now. Jesus even moyes was better than now. At the time the correct decision was made. The fact this club hasn't made better decisions since is irrelevant.
You said after PSG. There were 2 years of being stable as a top 4 team after PSG. It was time for him to go, but those 2.5 years was the longest decent period we've had

Palace have spent more time sprinting, covered more ground and they played 2 and a half days ago.

This is the root of our problem. We lack the desire and effort. It's a recurring theme for years. We get out worked by everyone.

Don’t give zirkzee the ball. He’s playing for the other team

Don't really understand how he's watched that half and changed nowt.
