I think this is gonna be a bad loss, in which we probably get shut out again.

Things are looking significantly bleaker now than they did even a few weeks ago.

Cunha out. Sesko out. No point going to London tomorrow waste of time.

When we get beat, cue all the talk of system this, system that. You cannot win away in London in the PL with a midfield of Bruno and Casemiro and an attack of Mbuemo, Amad and Zirzkee.

He should look to push Bruno to 10, keep Amad at RWB and play Mount as a false 9. Mainoo or Ugarte need to step up next to Cas.

I have no hope in Zirkzee.

    I predict

    ............... Lammens

    .... Mazraoui - de Ligt - Shaw

    Amad - Casemiro - Ugarte - Dalot

    .......... Mount - Fernandes

    ................ Mbeumo

If he won’t change his system, at least change the players around. Dorgu should remain in Manchester along with Zirkzee.
I’d rather we play Shaw at LWB and Bruno as a false 9 with Mbueno and Mount behind him.
Play Ugarte and tell him to unleash hell.
We need some bite in midfield and we need attacking play from the WBs.
If we have any chance of getting a point we need a good performance and not for 11 players to not turn up again.

    I predict

    ............... Lammens

    .... Mazraoui - de Ligt - Shaw

    Amad - Casemiro - Ugarte - Dalot

    .......... Mount - Fernandes

    ................ Mbeumo

    Strengths: Best 11 available

    Weaknesses: No subs of note

Too much logic (and square pegs in square holes) to trying out that formation.

I’d be happy to see it but it won’t happen.

Do you think Sunderland fans say similar about Chris Rigg, Sadiki, Isidor? All players who cost far less than ours and somehow ahead of us in the table and turned over Chelsea away

    Any news on Martinez?

Presumably “ok” if on bench v Everton. If fit, could play him LCH and Shaw LWB.

This is what should happen, but won't.

We've only won 1 in our last 11 away and Palace currently have conceded only 9 goals this season (second to Arsenal). No Cunha, Sesko or Maguire available. It isn't looking good but hopefully we see a response from the lads. They're actually a better team than us at present and on available players. Their spine of Guehi, Wharton and Mateta are miles above ours and both their wingbacks have been very good, in particular Munoz who is on fire and will terrorise Dorgu/Dalot.

All the signs are pointing to the mini-disgrace that even, even Liverpool may go past us in the Table this weekend.

    I predict:
    • Manchester United nil
    • Back to negative Goal difference
    • Looking down at the bottom of the table as opposed to the top in a weeks time.
    • INEOS leaks that the players need to be worried not the manager
    • Ruben fans saying we should give him this and that in January

I'm clinging to the hope that when we all expect a loss (which looks very likely) we surprise everyone and play well.

No Cunha is a major blow, a point would be a nice surprise.

I hope they will treat this as a final. They need to be on it, or else Palace will win with ease.

I think we will crumble though

All we know is that we are the underdogs:

    They have
    1. Better manager
    2. Better-coached squad that plays "our" system better than us, so forget any chance that they will give us any space or easy counter-attacking opportunities
    3. Better EPL position (thanks for losing to 10-men Everton, assholes) and they are playing at home

As to who will win, it is anybody's guess just like every fecking gamw United has played for years now. "On their day" they can win over Barca, City, Liverpool - pretty much anybody

But they can also lose to ten-men Everton and fourth league team

    Pointless to even speculate

This team? After a week of bad press, they'll probably start fast, maybe even score and goal of two. The issue is what happens after that - the minute they don't feel that negative pressure any more, they could easily let in multiple goals.

Watching the pattern from the days of Ole, they only seem to react to negative pressure.

At the height of bad press, they won one, everyone said it could have been a fluke, two, folks took notice but were a bit unsure about the team, 3 (which they almost threw away), everyone started talking about turning a corner, they got loads of plaudits, started the downward trend and proceeded to draw 2 on the bounce, displaying that bad habit of relaxing even within the same game when things start to look good, but the 'unbeaten' tag was still being bandied about and the press was largely positive, riding on the high, they barely turned up against Everton and proceeded to drop a stinker.

The one thing I'm unsure of is whether the press has been bad enough to force a reaction. Again, it's been clear for a while that we have a team of antiheroes who thrive against the odds. Anything that feels like the wind is in our favour, they just don't handle well.

Even in that run of games, we showed the same thing a number of times when we relaxed, the tide in-game went against us, and finding ourselves in a bad spot, promptly scored again!

I suppose some of these players have just become so used to the negativity and that's where they actually thrive.

Don't win this, then it's 4 PL games without a win. How fast it all turns again.

That's because we drew two games that we could and should have won.
And now, a draw would be a good result, all things considered.

I think he’ll play exactly the same team, because he’s exactly the type of weird cnut to do that.

That's like saying we won games we could and should have lost. Not sure what your point is.

    This will be tough

We don't handle intensity and teams that have a established playing style well. We also struggle with teams that press, early kick-offs, late kick-offs and sunday games

    Let's gooo!

Yoro deserves to be dropped after Everton, but the only plausible option at rcb is Mazraoui and I don't think Amorim will do that.

Hopefully he'll start with the Amad-Mbeumo partnership down the right. It's been one of the few areas of the pitch that's been effective for us, but he seems to want to break it up any chance he gets for some reason.

When he goes Amad RWB, he prefers to go for Dalot LWB ahead of Dorgu. They're both shite, but Palace are a fast, physical team, I'd prefer to have Dorgu in the team for that ahead of Dalot. But I expect obrigado tax will come into play here and Dalot will start.

Options up front are limited so I think it will be Mount, Zirkzee, Mbeumo. I really don't rate Zirkzee at all, unlike some fans I'm not fooled by the little attempted nutmegs and fancy touches. He offers next to nothing in terms of assists and goals. This would be his second start in a row now so his apologists can't use "rustiness" as an excuse, he needs to deliver an effective performance. If he can't do that, ship him out in Jan and try bring in another striker.

What I’m saying is that we were happy with those two matches only because we stayed unbeaten and kept the streak going, but we really should’ve won them. We didn’t collect enough points during that run, and the streak was always going to end sooner or later.

I'm not sure. We weren't very good v forest and our performance at spurs was woeful.

That's ok. We'll counter that by being knackered from monday, playing against 10 men
Was just thinking that. No mattered how knackered they are we will be more knackered. Or at best not for the first half, but definitely the second.

That's us. Easy to play against, almost always on the back foot
