I think Shaw has to start LWB. The other options have been absolutely dire there lately. It kills any sort of threat we have down the left.

Even if we can get a decent hour or so out of him there before he needs subbed, I think that’s the best option.

Dorgu, Dalot & Maz are miles off it at LWB at the moment.

3 points separating 5th to 14th. You can soar or plummet with a good/bad result. Please fecking show up today.
It’s great luck for us that a win today and Monday is sort of forgiven (as in we’re back in the European mix again). It’s a must win today if we want to be in Europe.

Not expecting too much. So far having the whole week for preparation doesn’t seem to have made any difference.

We could easily turn up today and win 3 - 1 or start off slow again and get smashed. Either way it will likely have no meaning on how we play next week.

I’d agree that the outcome could be anything if we had everyone available. With no Sesko and Cunha in the squad, I’m leaning much more towards a well deserved defeat.

Man Utd is the hardest to predict
This is the easiest loss to predict of the season. We're shit away. Particularly shit in London. Especially shit against Palace.

Will be a very comfortable win for Palace this afternoon.

At the time of writing this post, 64% of those who predicted scores believe Palace will score at least two against us. 31% believe they'll score at least three.

Only 24% of us think we'll win against Crystal Palace away in 2025-26, a year where we spent over 200m in the summer transfer window, and they spent peanuts after losing their best attacker to Arsenal.

It's the perfect circumstance for us to loose though. We're really poor away from home and also really poor vs teams who are happy to give up possession such as Palace. Then Palace are a boogey side for United since the Zaha days. Perfect concoction.

Yeah I think that’s fair. Both are going to be a miss(Crazy that we’ve gone into another season with essentially one striker who is unproven in the league).

I’m sort of hoping Palace are tired from mid week and Bruno bails us out with a world class performance.

Shaw himself has been pretty dire all season, zero intensity or urgency to his game.

For a lot of these players they are starting regardless of how they play, it shows there is no quality of depth in the squad and because of that there can be no accountability for poor performances.

He can amble his way through another afternoon and still play again next week.

Got a feeling we don't do well in the early kick offs. But then we haven't done that well in the later ones either.

The hope is that CP won't be able to raise the volume because they played midweek and they don't have adequate squad depth. If we get an early lead, we might be able to navigate the game and get something out of it.

    Good point.
Palace are lightening quick on the counter. So we will need to be very well organised and compact.

Well said. Far too many of the players feel no pressure from the bench and just go through the motions, knowing that they are safe.

I agree… but I doubt he’d ever start shaw at LWB due to fitness issues. I’m surprised he’s actually been able to start every single game so far.

Anything less than a solid performance should be grounds for Amorim's immediate sacking. Result aside, the actual performance needs to be respectable, especially with regards to his in-game management. If there's another baffling decision to do the polar opposite of what makes sense, he should be physically thrown out of the club. Playing ultra-defensive while chasing a goal at home against ten men Everton, and losing as a direct result of that, is something that must mean he's on his very last chance, or else this club is formally a write-off and a joke. If this isn't turned around right now, with a total change of heart from the manager, he can go feck himself.

Pressure will be back on him with a loss here… this is a season where everyone’s dropping points so we’ll have no better chance than to be in and around the European places

He's back into the territory of one more loss and he's getting sacked.

We have to be top 6 or 7 come the end of December. Anything else is completely unacceptable.

Think this will end in a boring 1-1 draw, sadly.

Sadly because it will be a tough watch, but I'll take the point.

0-0 would be my guess potentially if we were to get a result of any kind. Can see almost a cancelling of each other out with neither team wanting to take a risk.

It’s amazing Shaw has played 12 league games at CB without an injury. I predict if he is shifted to LWB he lasts about 20 mins.

Agreed. What’s annoying is the fact we was unbeaten in 5 and then lost it at home to a 10 men Everton team. If we’d had won on Monday night and then lost here it wouldn’t have been much of a big deal as this is a tough place to go for any side in the league.

Id Like to see an actual midfielder in midfield with Bruno in one of the number 10 roles because he is a number 10. Infact one of the very best in that position. Play him there. Please and thank you.

Mainoo and ugarte might aswell just go home. You have a squad. Use them.

In what way? The Bruno and Casemiro double pivot has proven to cause us so many problems and I'm not saying we have a lot of options for the left sided winger role, but playing Dalot there is stupid when it's beyond predictable every time with him inverting to switch to his stronger foot and getting caught out defensively anyway. It makes so much more sense having a Mainoo/Ugarte with Casemiro double pivot and moving Bruno further forward when taking into consideration that both Cunha and Sesko cannot play in this.
