As close to the team that faced City please. I think Shaw has earned a start though. I'd start Di Maria as well.
So... Not that close to the team that faced City?

We need Carrick back and Rojo. Shaw can be good again replacing Blind at L.B. Rooney as an attacker is a must.

If no-one is back from injury I think it will be the same side. But I would rather have McNair at defensive mid, play Evans at CB then put Rooney back up top and have Herrera at #8

Everton like to get the ball on the deck and play and we like to play against that. A significant amount of the goals we concede are due to intelligent high pressing followed by a turnover and then being unable to reorganise from there. I don't think players like barkley, Mirallas, Lennon and Lukaku or Kone have that in their locker so I expect a clean sheet. Just hope we are more clinical than we were yesterday.

This becomes a must win after the Chelsea loss IMO. If Carrick is back we win, if he isn't im not so sure.

No I should've actually said a completely different team.
Injury permitting, I'd try and field the same team which one at Man City. Those players have the winning formula and I like the winning formula.
Of course, injuries are likely to dictate the team we field on the day.
But in any case....no Falcao. Wilson should be the guy getting playing time not Falcao.

We need any of the two Blind and Carrick back to let Herrera play as b2b, he's irreplaceable now. I don't mind Herrera playing as DM as long as we have some more mobile and creative player of his mould in front of him.. His defensive numbers were unreal as always. 5 interceptions 3 tackles 5 clearances that's what carrick averages every two games. 95% passing accuracy is just what Scholes whould have been proud of...

It's some run of fixtures we've had here isn't it?

I know you play everyone plays everyone twice but aren't they meant to space out the difficult games? We'll have played every team inside the top 6 last season in the space of about 9 games.

We also got to face a load of midtable/relegation teams in a row.

Can see this turning to be a high scoring game. Hopefully Carrick and Shaw will be fit for this one. I'd say 1-3 or 2-4 United, with Fellaini having a MOTM performance.

Behave. Who else you got thats tough after Everton besides maybe Palace?

Liverpool still got to come and get their usual beating at ours so relax and enjoy the last 5 games!

I think it's because most people want 3rd as a minimum so the CL qualification is absolutely nailed on. None of that qualifying nonsense that became the norm for Arsenal.

Maybe, but thats not a must win, its just a 'better if we won'. If you wont beat whoever you have to face in qualifying then its probably best you arent in it!

Must win is a bit much but after Everton away we have Palace away and Arsenal at home, both tough fixtures.

Liverpool may come to Chelsea with the league mathematically sown up by then so who knows if the motivation will be there or not.

Yep, Arsenal are always in the qualifying round and always go through. Even if we get 4th I wouldn't be worried about not getting to the group stages... And like you say, if we can't beat whoever we get in that, then we probably shouldn't be in Champions league anyways.

If we have Carrick or Blind available so we don't need to play Herrera as the defensive midfielder we will beat them. The only change I would make from yesterday's line up is Carrick or Blind instead of Falcao.

With the league starting on 8th August weekend, we could probably do without 2 games clogging up the early season fixture list to be fair. That would be my concern, not so much the opposition.

We owe them one. This time llast year when we sent there, they were smelling blood. We should set this game as a marker to how far we've come.

I hope your right mate and I am pretty confident I just don't want us to start dropping silly points now. We still have to play Arsenal, as well as Everton and Palace like you mentioned. Dropping points in any of those games and City could leap frog us and then Liverpool wont be far behind if they win their games.

Yep and I will be glad to see you do your usual job on Liverpool!
