We've had much, much worse performances this year. That's scoreline is massively flattering, if it wasn't for the strange third goal or we'd taken one of our chances in the first half people wouldn't be losing their shit this much.

Even ignoring the terrible start we had, there have been much worse performances. West Ham away, both games against Southampton, Burnley at home, Stoke away.
Agreed. And the player ratings people give on this site are laughable.

Everton = bunch if animals with rabies chasing the ball, park the bus with 8+ players in the box when under attack. Turds. Worse that maureeninho.

Valencia - not a RB. Invest in a genuine RB.
McNair - overrated and not good enough. Stones is sort of young defender we need, not Blackett nor McNair.
Blind - too slow on the ball to be a midfield general. Need Carrick back asap + a replacement needs to be invested in.
Rooney - jack of all trades master of none.
Falcao - love the player but no.
Di Maria - expect more from him, wouldn't mind if he's offloaded to PSG.

    The rest did well

3 points lost. We've every right to be critical. Forget the previous games. Your only good as your last game and we were mid table mediocrity today

I suspect LVG's plastic head melts a bit in the sun and that simply has to have an effect. Half time talks with your manager's head dissolving - c'mon!!

I defy anyone to eat an orange properly let alone listen to motivational blah, blah not to mention the goo.

    Well done blue boys.

I think the phrase Reality check comes to mind, What is it with us and Everton, are they just game raisers or what ?

I never said we were good or people can't be critical. The reactions and player ratings are ridiculous though.

SAF would have use the patient approach which might have won 1 point instead of loosing 3.
Even though that United is on a good run, when playing away they should also take the caution
approach by slowing down and counter attacking the opposition. I felt the way United played today is just like the Home team trying to attack the opposition with haste.

Seriously! LvG must get his players back to winning the rest of all remaining games. Any place outside top 4 would be an unthinkable disaster! We are not even asking for 2nd spot. Come on!

So far I just noticed LvG has rigid plan for every game. You don't see strategy coming into play when needed urgently or not urgently. How long will Carrick be out? The only hope I have is when he's back to be honest, instead of wishing LvG making plan B or C etc

    Still laughing at Scousers.
Immature footy for this time of the season, in two away games running. LVG tried to make them play open football, but this squad isn't up to unpicking a side that parks the bus. Poor tactics for the run in after making clear headway two weeks ago. We need Carrick back, win at home and get a good result from the away game. In the summer we need two good central midfielders and a defensive powerhouse.

Awful display especially our defending and finishing. Quite amazed how last time we went 7 wins on bounce then gash this time 6 wins and gash again, two defeats and no goals scored. Away from home we are a shambles to be fair but I think 5 more points will be enough to just nick fourth which is good as that's all I see us getting. Anything but victory home to west brom will be disastrous.

Can we get your predictions on the next four games. I'm assuming a win over WBA at home, two away draws perhaps and a home loss to Arsenal.

We desperately need a Carrick type of players to play that DM role and \IIm not even sure Gundogan is the answer. He can dictate play from deep but defensively he is also not as good as Carrick. L

LvG will have to find a way to fix that position else it going to give us a lot of headache when Carrick retires

Yeah at the very least. Compared to Blackett (same age) and McNair definitely. I'm not saying he should be a starter but as back up player. Young, English, strong and solid defensively what's not to like about him.

    Where the goals come from.
Piss poor from United fans breaking the minutes silence.
    Poorly observed silence. Shame.
I was going to say. What prats disrespects minutes of silence. It was only a very small minority, but still - stupid.
Why they could not just shut the feck up for 1 min
I've heard from more than one Everton fan who was at the match that the singing was coming from fans still on the concourse, and those already in their seats behaved properly.

I'm sure there were a few dicks doing it deliberately, but it seems the bulk of it was from people who weren't aware of the silence.

I was there, a large part of it was definitely deliberate.
