Easy to predict. Everton will obviously win.

Needed an easy match to bounce back with, Everton fans are relentless, they will smell blood in the water.

Can we apply to the Premier League for permission to play this game in Liverpool shirts? Might be the best way to guarantee a result against them :D

Away at Goodison is my least favourite fixture of the season. Feckin' hate games there... never fancy our chances.

Are the people posting lineups featuring Rooney doing so because they want to see him play or because they expect to?
I'll pick him in the predictor - but because LvG has made it clear he'll play...not because I want him to.

Rooney has a dreadful record at Goodison. Am guessing most of us remember when Fergie dropped him for the game there. I hope LvG will follow suit, but clearly I've not got much hope. If we don't pick him, I'd actually fancy our chances a lot more (I hate Everton away. One of the very worst). If he plays, I'm hoping for a nervy 1-1 (though prepared for a 2-1 defeat) with us grabbing a goal through Martial. If he doesn't play, I'd pick a win; maybe 2-1 or 3-2.

Unless we play a tight game with 3 actual midfielders (in midfield), this will be another loss. We need to be compact and have energy in midfield to deny them time on the ball. Disturb them in midfield and then hit them from the transition. Van Gaal needs to think back to how he set us up at Anfield last season and start doing the same again in difficult away games. If he shows an unwillingness to learn from yesterday's mistakes, I'll be seriously worried about where he's taking us. Even with the correct game plan we might still lose, but at least it'll restore my faith in Van Gaal.

We could have beat Arsenal 8 nil and I still would predict an Everton win. They seem more up for this game than even v Liverpool, their desire goes through the roof it seems.
I predict Barry and McCarthy will destroy our laboring midfield and we will no doubt be caught on the break several times and ship another three goals but we will score. 3-1

Also Rooney to start once again and have another complete stinker against his former club.

Speaking as the 339th best predictor (a-thank you) on this forum, I think we'll lose this one.

As much as I don't rate or trust Jones I think we have to put him for this one, Lukaku and Barkley give Everton so much pace and power up top.

    ---------------De Gea
    Darmian--Smalling--Jones--Blind
    -------Schweini---Schndeilderlin
    -----Mata----Hererra-----Rooney
    ---------------Martial

This is the game Herrera is supposed to be back for. You know LvG will say he needs match rhythm and he has to play a couple of reserve games first. I like this side though. As long as Wayne decided to turn up against his precious Everton. I am sure his decline against them started when he was confront by those fans on the pitch.

I'm hoping the fact Herrera has only been out a couple of weeks will negate the "match rhythm" stuff, especially given LvG only applies it when it suits him. I figure with Rooney on the left even if he doesn't help us he wonder hinder us as much as he has been centrally.

Don't see us winning this one.
Me neither, you see us winning at home to City and away to Palace?

I wouldn't be hugely shocked if we only get a couple of points on the board from this month league fixtures.

We don't really stand a chance. We're shit away from home and we respond poorly to defeats under LVG. And we lost the last three league games at Goodison anyway.

I expect Martial to score though, so 3-1.

If we lose this, we could be looking at 4 loses in a row. Imo, this is a must win game.

    I would love to see:-

    Darmian Smalling Blind Rojo

    -------Morgan—Basti--------

    -----------Herrera-------------

    Mata-----------------Young or Pereira or Wilson

    -----------Martial------------

A international break injury to Rooney is the only way he doesn’t start against Everton as “the captain shall always play”…”I shall always play players against previous clubs”.

The even more worrying thing with that is that its likely that Rooney might be given a rest / taken off early in one or both of englands games. We all know what that means, when he misses a week he returns dreadful and takes 3 weeks to pick up the pace again!!

Am not sure Wayne actually runs about as much anymore to pick up an injury. So ones silently hoping for that might not get their wish.

Rojo might be back for this. Doesn't mean anything as he probably isn't going to start.

We're due a result against this lot. I'll go for us winning 2-0 but not a particularly inspiring performance.

Would like Rooney & Memphis to start from the bench.... But they won't!! Seriously fecked off with LVG! I really thought he'd be the man to put Rooney on the bench if he's not playing well enough but NO! He's the feckin captain isn't he!

    3-1 Everton

Everton will play direct. Probably on the counter attack.

I just hope the team back pedals much better this time compared to against Arsenal. And the midfield offers much better protection. I doubt man united will change style or shape much.
