So, a win or a draw and we're through, if I'm reading the graphic that Raw posted correctly?

If I were Mou I'd throw the kitchen sink at this one because the Europa is the only way we're getting CL football next season.
Yep. If we lose and Fenerbahce lose, we're out.

This is a tough one to call.
On one hand we are dreadful in away games.
On the other hand we do have a good record in the EL this season.
Perhaps a draw would be the most likely result?

It is the only way to get CL qualification
I don't understand the obsession with CL football. Yeah it's good money but we're not good enough to even get out of the groups even if we do make it. I much rather we become a league force again than obsess with winning this stupid competition to get into the CL. If we can't come top 4 then we really don't deserve it anway.

Who do you think is better in the Europa League? Mourinho always does well in cups too. I think we are clearly the best side in it so we have to go for it.
Teams likely joining from the CL which are better or which against you could easily struggle (as of now): Tottenham, GLadbach, Sporting, Lyon.
Teams still in the Europa League which are either better or could give you a hard fight: Anderlecht, Zenit, Roma, Donezk, Schalke.

    So, no, not very likely.

Well if we're on par with Anderlecht we might as well pack it in.

Given up on Spurs already because of this long ass trip.

Other results aren't good enough for Jose to choose a weakened team.

Of course we could struggle against some teams, but we are obviously better then all of those teams. Like it's not that close. It would be a huge upset to lose against any of them, bar Spurs who are closest to us but I don't think they are very good this season so again, we should win that over 2 legs.

Bar spurs we should beat most of them. Spurs would be the tricky one.

We're in a bit of a catch-22 situation here. We need to either decide to go all out for this and risk slipping further down the table, or accept the reality that there's 0 chance of us winning this thing, send out a second string team and try to salvage all that we can from a crumbling season.

If we lose and Feyenoord win, we're out. If we lose and Feyenoord draw or lose, we're second.
Sorry for being lazy, Feyenoord-Besiktas is played where.

Ugh, imagine us going out of EL...

Resting a few before Spurs which is a must win if any chance of top four. Team should still be more than strong enough.

I think we could see this, it's not a bad game for Bailly to come back into and I think Herrera and Mkhi will be rested for the weekend. If Jose isn't happy with Lingard's contract issue then I could see Rooney central, Mata right and Martial on the left.

It's in our hands, and we should really sail through. We can still go through if we lose if Fener beat Feyenoord. I'd like to see us blow them away though. We really do need an away win in Europe.

Zorya seem to be in a poor run at the moment and they were terrible at Old Trafford. United should win this but they are equally capable of messing up. Who knows, really?

We alternate good results with poor results. That means this will be a convincing win.

I long for the day when we can string a couple of decent results together.

    2. Manchester United: LWWLWW

    4. Zorya Luhansk: DLLDLL

We're due a win and they're due a loss. We seem to play better mid week anyway.

We won't win the thing. Nowhere near good enough as it is and when the CL teams join the draw....
    What teams?

Spurs are arguably the toughest team dropping down and I certainly don't fear them.

Sevilla should qualify for the last 16.

I'm sorry to say, but recent results don't really support that fact. Of course, everything might change, that's why I said "as of now". But as of now, all of those sides would probably give you a hard fight with a good chance of you going out. And winning that thing would probably mean beating 3 of those. Which, as of now, doesn't seem very likely. Even if your were to beat 2 of those but losing to the third, you still wouldn't win. We will have to see in the new year.

Also, motivation plays a big role. Do you see that in your side regarding the Europa League? We thought we had the thing in the bag when we had to play in the Uefa Cup in 2007/2008, after spending 100 million euros, but a motivated Zenit side wiped the floor with our blokes because they just couldn't be arsed.

We can win this competition. There are very few good teams in it. I know we aren't that good either, but we've looked decent in the cups.

We should target a treble of EFL, EL, FAC this season.

We have looked a lot better in the cups for the most part these last month or 2 so I do see us winning it. And we'll definitely be up for it. It's our best route to actually get champions league football. We aren't getting it through the league, so we should definitely be motivated in the second half of the season to win it.

The Spanish sides would kick our ass.

A side like Sevilla would probably beat us home and away.
No they wouldnt. And besides, Bilbao is the only spanish side looking like theyll make it. Villareal is in a 3 way tie for 2nd place currently so anything can happen there. Just have a look at the teams in the competition and those in 3rd place in the CL and tell me with a straight face we arent easily the best side of the lot. If we hit any sort of form. Its just not possible because we obviously are.

We are nowhere near the best side.

We are probably the biggest name in the competition so far before the UCL teams join, but that's it. We are not very good in Europe and have a very poor record in the Europa league. We have a terrible record against Spanish teams too.

I think you are seriously overrating how good we are. We aren't.And English clubs are not good in Europe either.

Some people really dont understand that we have zero chance of top 4.
Its not because you cannot make up the gap we currently have to the top 4, its simply a case that we will drop more points than them from this point on. Thats how poor we are.

Coupled with the fact that our 36th and 37th game of the season are away at Arsenal and Spurs respectively, we could be looking at a very embarrassing end to a very poor campaign.

We have to start deciding whether we are keeping Jose, and if we do, have to start planning for next season.

We have already lost to Fernebache and Feyenoord just this season, people are simply deluding themselves into thinking we are one of the top teams in this competition.

Look at our European record over the last five years and see the teams that have beaten us. PSV, Wolfsburg just last season. Have people already forgotten?

We arent a European force anymore. Just look at the European club rankings: http://www.ecaeurope.com/tabbed-content/club-ranking/
