I hope the fringe players will feature. Focus should be completely on the PL, so I'd rest most of the first 11. Let Lingard and Mkhi some minutes to boost confidence a bit after today.

I would not start too many fringe players but I hope Rashford, Miki, and Schneiderlin get the start. Probably see Carrick as well.

    DDG
    Valencia Smalling Jones Shaw
    Carrick Schneiderlin
    Miki Mata Martial
    Rashford

Subs: Memphis, Herrera, and a fullback.

The problem with playing all the fringe players is their lack of playing time, surely they're going to struggle against a match sharp team. Mourinho has simply ignored the likes of Schneiderlin and Carrick, how can they possibly come in and perform to a decent level.

I really see us struggling if we adopt this approach.

I'd leave Pogba and Ibra behind to rest for Sunday, but take everyone else.

You could make a good case for all of the rest of the squad starting.

    I'd start with:
    Ddg
    Darmian-Smalling-Jones-rojo
    --------Carrick-Schneiderlin------
    Young---------Mata-------Depay
    ----------------Martial-----------------

This should be enough against Feyenoord. Our players looked absolutely knackered today, don't want us to risk anyone.

Feyenoord are in very good form so far and play some good football. They're better than Midtylland and Brugge. Luckily the stadium wont be full, when the Kuijp is full and the fans get behind them, it can get really tricky even for some very good sides. We have to win but wont be too surprised if we draw.

They have some decent players, will be a decent test. Their manager is none other than Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

One of Herrera, Fellaini or uh, Rooney can start depending on which one isn't going to on the weekend. No way all 3 and Pogba start.

In terms of improving the team you'd probably go with Herrera as the 10, Mata on the right and whoever is training worse between Young and Memphis left out.

Hope we get a good win and some players who need a game and confidence get it.

I actually think he'll take Pogba because he is so fit and it would be ideal for him to have a good game, against some relative minnows, to hit the ground running. Certain Rashford will start & I'm also pretty convinced Micki will be dropped after today's performance. Think we'll see Memphis get his first start.

Tricky, awkward game, however we can flex our excellent squad depth and make use of some very good players who have hardly kicked a ball in anger yet,
I hope we'll win here, and that should calm down the tedious melodrama that predictably accompanies every defeat from the '' we want it now crew! ''

The goalkeeper Vermeer can be very dodgy on his day, Brad Jones is their other one so we should try and test him as much as possible.

It depends on who are going to play over the weekend. If Rashford is going to start at the weekend, then start Martial up top so he can score and get his confidence back as well.

    De Gea

    TFM - Smalling - Blind - Rojo

    Schneiderlin - Herrera

    Mkhi - Mata - Depay

    Rashford

I'd go for this but with Martial over Depay.

If he has any sense he is going to leave those XI planed vs Watford at home.

    Pretty much this team.
Though I'd prefer Young be also be given some game time, though not sure where to deploy him.

Young would have delivered a friend superior performance today than Lingard was able to, that's was experience give you.

And I think we'll need that contribution sooner than we'll need Depay.

Players were knackered today. No way many, if any will play in this, except the two useless wingers perhaps.

Im very excited for these games, much less pressure than the CL and we should be able to rest our key players.

I don't know how much Jose will rotate and I guess when we see the traveling squad well get a better idea.

    I would start this;

    De Gea

    Darmian - Smalling - Jones - Rojo

    Schneiderlin - Carrick

    Mkhi - Mata - Depay

    Rashford
Bench; Romero, TFM, Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Young, Lingard, Martial

That team looks very fragile to me;)

    I've gone for:

    De Gea
    TFM Smalling Blind Rojo
    Carrick
    Schneiderlin Pogba
    Mata Rashford Martial
Rooney and Zlatan left at home.
But so hard to predict without knowing how seriously Jose's going to approach it.

Does @Niall have to make all the matchday threads? I am bit superstitious, since he has made them we havent been very successful,I remember in my lurking days people used to make threads who had best record for united(when they made threads, united would get good results). I know he owns the caf but united comes first no?

Anyways on to the game, hope no rest for Pogba as we need to get him into match sharpness, I also hope henrikh play. Jones and smalling as defense, rashford uptop with martial on the other wing. Proper 4-3-3 with Pogba, carrick herrera midfield. With herrera and Pogba advanced. Rojo can play left back, right back can be TFM. Lets get back on track, i cant wait for the game.

I saw a journalist on Twitter saying Miki is having an MRI scan today so I'm not sure if he'll be involved. But rest everyone.

    Romero
    Darmian--Smalling--Jones--Rojo
    Carrick--Schneiderlin
    Young--Mata--Memphis
    Rashford

subs: Johnstone, TFM, Tuanzebe, Herrera, Mata, Lingard, Martial

I would include Miki if he's fit enough.

We still have to win this match so we can't treat it like some game we can piss away. Shaw if fit, Mkhi and Lingard can sub. Bring up their confidence after City and see how Smalling-Bailly do.

After watching what happens when you play guys who have had very few minutes on the pitch, he might be wary of making too many changes. He will not want to lose this.
