So because I’m not a fan of this manager it must mean I don’t know anything about football? That’s a great basis for a constructive football debate.
I think ETH is the right man for the job and I’m impressed with how he’s adapted to what we have and his signings. Pragmatism is needed during a rebuild if he was stubborn and insisted on trying to play like he did at Ajax we’d still be last. That said I hope with time he turns us into a team that is more possession based against top teams.

3 months is enough to decide if a manager is not going to make it. So while I don’t agree with your opinion I’m interested in knowing what you’ve seen from him to make you think he should be sacked, or won’t be a success?

He is blowing out of his arse after 30 mins and City were sleeping for the first 10. Very concerning, wanted him to start, but he looks really bad in his movement.
A DM needs legs and those are the first to go. Its mental to spend so much money (salary/fee) on a 30 year old DM. We should have either gone for the cheap punt like Sangare was or spend big in Rice.

    He's a Watford fan.

I hate them more than anybody. But they got us the manager we wanted and spent 225m.
And we’ve lost that elite winning mentality since Sir Alex retired. Literally every single decision since then has been an absolute joke until ETH’s appointment. With hindsight, yeah of course. The damage has already been done.

    Your reasoning is ridiculous.

He's essentially calling him a child and you think this is correct because you think his performances haven't been up to scratch. There's zero logic there.
Let me explain (again): I don't mind people having a go at the ref if they've given there all and played well. It looks pathetic if you've been utter dross. Or to use your word: childish

Saying he's not trying is lazy analysis but the two things are completely disconnected as far as I'm concerned. Either way Neville shouldn't be single out United players and repeatedly referring to them as childish in his capacity as a co-commentator. This things have an impact on people's perception of the player including referees.

And why do they do that? Because they know how good he is so give him exactly what he needs to do the job. There's a reason these clubs chose him instead of a cheaper Chris Wilder level of manager if it's all down to off field support. It's a strange argument to try and belittle someone.
Im not belittling him, it’s just a fact. He’s a superb manager , no doubt about it , but he’s only proven at clubs where he has everything he has wanted and then some.No other manager has ever had the kind of resources he has at every club he’s managed. How else could he not succeed?

I love how Martial has given Haaland a 14 goal headstart for the golden boot. If Haaland stays fit and carries on at the rate of a goal every 48 minutes, he will end the season with 70. If Martial stays fit and keeps scoring every 38 minutes, he will get 75!!!!

I wouldn’t do that. They need to be attacked. The threat of actually conceding a goal would probably do lore to stifle them.

They can be got at, but you have to at least try to get at them!
Can both I was right about this. The extra midfielder plus no ide why our defenders can’t stick tight to Haaland near the box. I would have a hand on him at all times

Agree we could have done with an extra midfielder, or at the very least - a lower more compact block. Also about personnel. If, for example, Antony Elanga was one of the forwards, then I think we could have still player with three.

    Because they press more?
In a game like that I would even play five at the back with Shaw at the far left a little further up, or even more so a 4 at the back and then Shaw in the left side of midfield. I think he does fine further up and his main issue is marking in the box. I would rather Eriksen and drop Bruno and just two forwards, as I said I would chose Martial and Antony as both could create a goal out of a slim chance. Sancho would be a super sub if we need a late equalizer but I would have been so pragmatic in this game. I know other teams try to low block city but they don’t have the quality we have nor the speed on the counter. Definitely would have done either five at the back or thrown Shaw in midfield in exchange for Bruno. Also would have given wan Bissaka a whack on the right side.

The anger I feel towards this club for Abu Dhabi FC having them two is off the scale today

Are you actually suggesting that he's finished?
Jeez that's an exaggeration isn't it?

I had three major concerns about Casemiro

A- Its evident that ETH wanted De Jong. Casemiro is a totally different player to him. Which makes you wonder if he wanted him and how would someone whose so different fit into ETH's system.

B- Casemiro is a 30 year old DM. At that age most DM's best years are behind them. That wouldn't be a huge concern if the guy was brought in on a realistic fee and salary. That wasn't the case. We spent 60m + 10m on the guy and we gave him a 4 year contract on silly salary (which is probably why Casemiro left Real). You'd expect that the new and improved Manchester United under Murtoughy would finally learn from their mistakes but no....we're still committing the same silly mistakes

C- There are leagues out there that play at a low tempo and were tactics, technique and experience are valued far more then work rate and pace. Needless to say that the EPL isn't one of them.

I'm honestly at a point where I don't have any faith in this club anymore. If someone needed explaining as to what False Dawn FC is, Utd is your answer. There's no credibility whatsoever.

We were expected to lose to City. There's no shame in losing to the world's best. But getting spanked is something I can't come to terms with. Whats the point of these 3-4 game runs when you put in performances like that?

Its the same cycle all over again. One step forward, 2 steps backwards. Rinse repeat.
