Manchester City Football Club - nicknamed City, The Citizens, and The Sky Blues - are a professional football club based in Manchester, England; and were founded in 1880 as St. Mark's (West Gorton), before being renamed as Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887, and finally Manchester City in 1894. Prior to the takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the club had enjoyed moderate levels of success through their history - winning the League in 1936 and 1937, to go with 4 FA Cups, 2 League Cups, and 1 Cup Winners' Cup. However, since the beginning of the current decade, City have been buoyed by the signings of Sergio Agüero, Yaya Touré, David Silva, Pablo Zabaleta, Vincent Kompany; and have emerged as perpetual title contenders - winning the league twice and repeatedly finishing in the Top 3. City play their homes games at the Etihad Stadium, and share a local rivalry with neighbors and opponents for the game, Manchester United.

Lost, won and drawn the last three meetings against them under van Gaal. Win is a must and Kompany missing the game is good news. Will probably end up 2:0 to City.

Would be a huge leap for 4th place if we beat them.

Unfortunately we won't beat them, no matter how shite City have been.

City will win 3-0. Sickens me to say it, I'm tired of kidding myself though.

Van Gaal is killing the club. Woodward and the Glazers are sitting there and watching him do it. Its disgusting.

Can´t see us winning that and even if we will, it would be another false dawn again

I think you can beat them. They're pretty poor at the minute and it'll probably be Mangala at the back who can be got at.

It's obvious I know but you need to drop Fellaini and get Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger playing together.

How are we supposed to win when we can't score? Barely tested Mignolet and scored from a penalty in a game where we needed a minimum of three goals to go through...

Think we can win this. Always preferred getting fourth to winning the EL, to be honest. Kind of relieved that Thursday - Sunday nonsense is over now.

    -------------------De Gea--------------
    Darmian---Smalling----Blind----Rojo
    --------------Schneiderlin------------
    --------Herrera----Schweinsteiger---
    Lingard-------Rashford--------Martial

Would like to see this. Wouldn't mind Varela or Riley at RB, as well. Hard to imagine Mata and Fellaini not starting though, unfortunately.

I want us to get a result more so it hurts their chances of top 4 than i do for any benefit for us. Probably pretty small time, but our season is done, and the only positive that can really come out of it now is if somehow City manage to blow top 4. The wont, and theyll beat us, but still ...one can hope.

We'll be better but not good enough to win.

    De Gea
    Valencia--Smalling--Blind--Darmian
    Schneiderlin--Schweinsteiger
    Herrera
    Memphis--Rashford--Martial

subs: Romero, Varela, Rojo, Carrick, Fellaini, Lingard, Mata.

if Herrera isn't fit enough then Mata comes in for him. He will bring Valencia in for Varela now.

    2-1 City

Our youngsters scored far too many goals, when they played, so now that our first team are back en force, they have taken a vow to score as few goals as possible, to make up for the work done by the U21s players.
The result? We have scored 3 goals in our last 5 games.

I've gone for 2-1, MCFC win.
With a bit of luck, I think we are due to score 1 goal.

City have been awful recently and we should be able to beat them if they don't decide to have one of their brilliant days. I don't think they've managed to win back to back games in the PL since October. If we beat them and reduce the gap to 1 point we might actually have a hope of top 4 considering how inconsistent they are plus they have CL still going on

It's actually really frustrating to know that if we had changed managers sooner we would very likely be above them and guaranteed champions league football.
