Ole is playing the rotation game well at the moment but it can change so quickly, he can't reward every good performance with a start due to our depth (Mainly midfield and CB at the moment), Sure hope Axel and Pogba don't get disillusioned if they aren't starting next game and fight for their places as they have been.

Will ole think Rashford and Greenwood are too similar and maybe start Cavani. I'd like to see Tuanzabe and Maguire start a game. Could use axels pace.

I really hope he goes Greenwood and Rashford as a front two. I like the look of Cavani but Greenwood is too good not to play for me.

If Rashford plays just a bit higher up, that’s a 4-1-1-1-1-1-1 formation. Cool!

McFred - difficult to put into words how secure I feel with that duo on the pitch.

Cavani's first goal for us. I can feel it in my testicles.

I'm expecting the diamond. There's this thing that happens where the Caf has a popular opinion and Ole eventually has that opinion too

Greenwood on the right and Cavani down the middle? Or do you mean Greenwood is too good not to play down the middle?

Sorry I should clarify that I think we are almost certain to stick to the diamond and if that the case we would only choose two out of our three best attacking options which for me are Greenwood and Rashford.

I think Axel will start instead of Lindelof who can need some rest. At the same time Lindelof was good against Aubameyang last season.

I think Arteta will fall into the same mistakes Neiglsman made. He will try and control possession with high line, and we will finish them on counter (maybe even penalties).

Even with the win against RB, I m not sure about the result of this game. I m starting to believe some English teams are learning how to play against us, as lampard tactics showed last week.
    Which is park the bus.

If we start with the diamond we can easily switch to a 4-3-3 or Ole’s 4-2-3-1 with just on subtition. It is pretty flexible and yesterday we defended in a 4-3-3 with Donny being the middle on top directing press. Bruno can do that too, as we have seen.

    De Gea

    AWB Tuanzabe Maguire Shaw

    Mctominay

    Fred Pogba

    Bruno

    Rashford Cavani
I would go with this one, but would start Mason instead of Cavani.

The majority of the team picks itself really. The only question mark is whether we rotate Lindelof, Pogba and Greenwood.

But it seems clear that De Gea, AWB, Maguire, Shaw, McTom, Fred, Bruno and Rashford starts. Given we took off Greenwood I imagine he'll get the nod ahead of Cavani/James. Whether we try DvB and rest Pogba is the big question, my thinking is we'll stick with Pogba and have VdB on the bench and we'll stick with Lindelof too.

We can then rotate the deck again for the CL tie next week.

I'll allow myself a little assertion here; we should be destroying these feckers. Payback for last time. No David Luiz to humiliate, unfortunately. Bring back Lingard to throw on late 4-0 up for some dancing.

    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    McTominay Fred
    Bruno Pogba
    Greenwood Rashford

Think we do this. Form/injuries/suspensions/fitness/ opponent, seems like a no brainer tbh! Only possibilities I see are Cavani for Greenwood, VdB for Pogba and Tuanzebe for Lindelof. I think we'll leave that for CL next week where we go:

    Henderson
    Williams Tuanzebe Maguire Shaw
    Matic Fred
    Mata Van de Beek
    Cavani Martial
Anyway, we need to kick on in the league and get some consistency. Home against Arsenal, we need to win, no other option is acceptable. Too cautious against Chelsea, can't do the same here. We're better in every position and have to show it.

Hope we carry on with the diamond! No more 4231, ultimately we literally have one actual winger in the squad and he’s madly out of form.

    Benefits of the diamond:
Puts our strikers in strikers positions.
    Keeps Bruno at 10
Gets the best out of Pogba
Can keep the work rate midfielders in the team still
Arsenal will exploit the wide areas of the pitch better than Leipzig did. We caught Leipzig by surprise when we played a narrow formation but not Arsenal. Arteta has Aubameyang and Lacazette along with Pepe who can get in those wide areas quicky and also Xhaka is good in finding those passes to his front line. We should play the wide players with Cavani up front. It is time to start Cavani and he will enjoy playing against our rivals. I think we should play the 4-3-3 ( be it 4-1-2-3 or 4-2-3-1). We need balance and I for once think we are capable of getting one over on them now.

Either team I'd like to see. But I can't see Ole dropping Lindelof or Shaw yet, they've been solid for the last few games.

Diamonds are forever aren't they? At least they better persist for the next couple of league games. McT for Matic and Bruno for VDB from last night should be good to go. I smell Cavani's first goal for us, off the bench.

Stick with the diamond. We looked such a force and can see us overpowering Arsenal. Matic and Fred to do the dirty work and leave Pogba, Rashford, Greenwood, Bruno to work their magic.

Chelsea are now my most disliked London team due to the smug hunchback manager who shows little class judging by his outburst at Liverpool. But beating the Gunners is always sweet.
