    You're trying to defend Ten Hag here who dropped him until he was sacked. As soon as Ruud and Ruben came in he proceeded to become one of the best attackers in the league.

    Like I said I blame ETH for a lot of things, even for not picking Amad for a few months before he was sacked.

    I am referring specifically to the 2 years when Amad was on loan. He wasn’t ready at that time.

    Has to be, we look so much better when we have someone who can actually play football in midfield.

    Dorgu kept the ball better on the right for some reason too.

    If we can, I think we should go with the team we had on from 70 minutes last night to start the final. It's far from perfect but I definitely think it gives us the best balance based on what we have right now.

    What part of “he wasn’t ready at the time” is hard to understand in my argument? It’s irrelevant how Antony or anyone else played. You’re not going to replace one who can’t cut it with another who’s not ready for it

    He was always better than Antony so we shouldn't have wasted money on Antony and just played Amad all along. What sort of magic do you think goes on in Sunderland? Instead of performing for Sunderland he could have been helping us more than Antony ever could. It's that simple.

    The fact is that the coaches and the development team felt he could benefit from a loan.

    He was 19/20 at the time and needed to play men’s football to show that he could step up. What isn’t good for a kids development is to chuck them into a struggling team. United fans have a habit of wanting to throw kids in before they’re ready.

    He said this about his loan. He clearly loved his time there.
    He said: “Sunderland was my second time on loan, and I have a lot of beautiful things to say about the Club. They supported me and were unbelievable with me and my family, and tried to help me in everything, on and off the pitch. They gave me a lot of love, and I enjoyed every moment of playing for Sunderland – I was so happy to be part of it.”

    Tony is like my dad – he gave me the opportunity to show what I can do on the pitch. I want to thank him and everyone at the Club because they were part of the project to help develop me.

    You avoided answering my question. Was he better than Antony? The answer is yes.

    A good manager at United could have unlocked his potential and we could actually have benefitted from it. Instead we were left with 2 wasted years of Antony.

    I think you know my answer if my assertion is that he wasn’t ready for PL footy
