Without both Nico and Sancet it's hard to see them finding three goals.

Of course, we've been known to find astronomical ways to throw away good positions.

Who would think winning trophies is good for you. That is what's missing from football now. All they are bothered about is CL even if they end up stinking the place out.
I think I understand your sentiment, but there’s a realistic chance we will stink up the CL next year after qualifying thru the Europa, too.

    Onana
    Lindelof Maguire Yoro
    Mazraoui Casemiro Ugarte Dorgu
    Garnacho Fernandes
    Hojlund

Bayindir, Heaton, Amass, Fredricson, Kamason, Shaw, Eriksen, Mainoo, Mount, AMad, Mantato

Not impossible but very unlikely. I mean didn’t Bournemouth beat us 3-0 here this season? But I’d like to think we’ve turned a corner or at least in Europe we’ve been pretty decent

In those games, you at least attempt to attack when you're down to get back into it and that makes us more open and leads to more goals conceded on the counter. Hard to see if we just shut up shop and play on the counter how they can put 3 past us but who knows?

No Amad makes me a bit pessimistic about the whole thing. There's not a lot of attacking impetus there so we're probably not scoring.

Also you would hope we don’t down tools after going 2-0 down like we did against Bournemouth, given we’d still be in a position to go through.

We’ll score. There’s no doubt about that. They have to attack us pretty early if they want to score 3 goals. We have Ugarte who can break up there attacks and then set us up to counter when they’ll leave space for us.

    Who's this Mantato kid ?
    Any good ?

Don't really follow the youth team but have been watching his vids and he looks really good at RB / RWB. If we're comfortable I'd love to see him get a run today - has a nice blend of pace, physicality and technique. His shooting technique looks especially good.

It's pretty nuts that the last Europa league semi final we played in, Maguire and Lindelof started at the back for us then. You wouldnt have expected that.

Hopefully it won’t come down to that. I can see it going similar to the PSG game last night. Arsenal dominated but conceded first and I think we’ll do the same. They should be pretty open… plays in our hands

Bruno hero-ball to Garnacho only works if Bruno is deep. Last game, he was too far forward I thought and the back ... 7, were making a meal of it. If Ugarte has another good game and can break the first line of pressure then yeah we might get a few on the break.

No William brothers nor Sancet for Bilbao, that's great news. I expect a boring controlled game, no mistakes just get it done.

17 year old from the academy. Apparently very highly rated by Amorim and expected to make his debut before the end of the season.
Left-footed right winger/right wing back who's been impressing in recent months for the academy. Similar mould to Quenda.
    Thanks.

Be it injury (Sancet, Williams x2), suspension (Vivian) or choice (keeper), that looks for all the world like a second string side for them.

No way should we be shipping 3+ goals to that lot.
