Anytime we get a win and should be looking to kick on we stutter. I'm not sure this is the game we break the duck. 2-2 draw. Mount to have another good game. We have good players and they are only playing once a week. On paper with our best 11 we should be challenging hard for top 4 whatever anyone thinks....how things play out is another matter altogether. We like to make things as hard on ourselves as possible especially when it looks like we are building momentum

I heard Sesko could be back for this. Won’t start but a bench appearance would be good

Some posters will get upset when we win this comfortably and move up the table.

We know it's only a preseason, but we should remember how confident we played them in the summer. We shoul dbe also confident in a home game, after a dominant win.
After how we struggled against 10 man Everton and a very poor West Ham team at home, I really don't see how any United fan can be confident of a "dominant win".

We can only go with recent evidence, not preseason friendlies from 4 months ago!

For what it's worth I'm trying to be optimistic and going for a 2-1 win (because we simply can't keep a clean sheet, can we?!), but it does also reek of a frustrating 1-1 or 2-2 draw.

Dayum 1 game against a very poor wolves side and the gloating has returned.
We failed to beat 10 men Everton and WHU at home.

Hope Sesko makes a return… he’ll be needed for the festive period.

I think the team would be pretty much like the previous game. If ready Sesko would get in second half. I however hope that Mainoo would get more game time, maybe give him 20-25 minutes of each game rather than the very few minutes he gets.

I feel sorry for the Bournemouth fans. That's a journey on a Monday night!

I don't live in the UK but have been there a dozen of times, but that seems impossible if you are a working person. And wether you work or not, you'd be back home so late I can imagine.

That's crazy. So we're 7-4-4 and third highest scoring team yet any clever manager can easily exploit us no problem? feck. That's a scathing indictment of Premier League managers.
    Excellent. He hasnt returned since.

250 miles (402km) each way on a work day is a hard night. Don't think many of their fans will take Monday and Tuesday off to support. But I may be wrong and fair play to those that do.

They'd have to leave at about 1PM so would need the Monday afternoon off and then they're home by like 3.45AM Tuesday so yeah both days need taking off unless you're hardcore. And that's if they're driving, train is even worse. Really unfair on working fans.

Disgusting stuff really by the PL. I get the game is all about money, but this isn't okay at all. Making it so difficult for fans to go and support.

We don't have European games and we have many fans, Monday games is very reasonable and expected.

I'll be surprised if we manage to get more than a point here. These lot smashed us 3-0 this time last season.

We'll be back to our boring walking pace one dimensional football on Monday night.

In the past we´ve struggled with their pressing game and how they target defenders. Not confident about this one.

Only just realised how bad Bournemouth's form is - they've lost 4 and drawn 2 in their last six games.

Will be really poor from us if we don't win, however given our performances against Everton and West Ham we can never really expect to win any game going into it.

Everything written in this forum is subjective, you can be outraged if you want, but I think it's unreasonable.
What would be reasonable is some level of consideration for travelling fans coming from the South Coast by not having this particular game on a Monday surely?

That, and they have that fast, direct transitional style with players who can exploit our gaps out wide with pace and power (Semenyo, Kluivert etc - assuming they’re all fit and available). Their form isn’t great, considering their good start to the season so let’s hope we get the 3 points.

I am not outraged, but it's some crap stuff by the PL. It's asking unreasonably much of away fans to go and support their team, especially considering the demographic of most of the football fans which are working people.

Yea that's true, but the pl is the richest League by far largely due to viewership.

Jeez, I know it’s a forum but feck me.

Some people. Too. Much. Time. On. Their. Hands.

I’m sure this will be endlessly debated.

    No it won’t.

    It should be.

3-0 to us. Let’s capitalize on a win for once and move up the table.

Why the feck are we playing on Monday night three weeks in a row? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that happen before

Viewing figures. I’m happy as someone who lives in Cornwall that we are on TV but if I wanted to go to a game I’d be furious.

We are one of the only big draw teams that aren’t in Europe so we can play Monday night games, otherwise they’d have to put on teams vs teams in the bottom half. There are 12 teams with European football. I can’t see Burnley vs Fulham or Sunderland bringing in a crowd.

    Two reasons:

!. We are neither in Europe nor in League Cup, so FA can do this to us
    2. They are motivated to do it, because, shit form or not, United still gets highest TV viewership, so they put us on Mondays to maximize Monday viewership revenues, which otherwise would be much much lower
