Lead is well deserved. Slightly disappointing in the finishing of Cunha & Mbuemo recently but hopefully it will come. Cunha in particular is having a good game.
Utd need to stop dropping their intensity and letting the opposition into the game. Did the same against Wolves but then recovered. Hopefully second half is all Utd.

Hardest I've seen us work all season. Some really good performances across the park. Mount playing well, Ditto Bruno and Case. Mbeumo and Cunha linking will. Possibly the best I've seen dalot all season

The only downsides to that half, were losing a grip on the game after about 30 minutes, which lead up to Shaw’s blunder…. and not converting those clear cut chances.
We should be up 3 or 4 nil.
As it stands, we need to get an early goal after the break and put Bournemouth on the back foot again.

We should win this, but just as easily throw away the points again like the WHU game.
It’s fairly « normal » for teams to have periods of domination and then being dominated. We seem to want to start games very strongly a la Arsenal or title winning Liverpool, in order to get a 1 or 2 goals advantage before players need to slow the tempo and rest.
When/if it works, you can go into half time with a 3-0 advantage.
When it doesn’t work, which is often the case for us because of poor finishing, we end up with 1 goal advantage and poor confidence means we’re shaky at the back.

I for one am quite happy with this half. We were clearly the better team, and the goal from Semenyo is textbook inexperience from Heaven, which is what you get when you play young players

Can't believe these dumbass in the studio are acting like we barely deserve our lead! Apart from their goal, we've been utterly dominant!

It´s the fact that Semenyo was clearly out of control and looking for Dalot that makes it worse. You´re basically saying that it´s ok to initiate a confrontation as well as raise your hands.

No question that´s a red for one of ours.

If Dalot rolls around its a red.

So annoying that Mbeumo couldn't quite get over the ball from the Cunha pass. What a goal that would have been!

I don't think Sesko starts if that attack are all fit and available, there is a lot of good stuff building there.

Mount bound to miss games unfortunately, excellent player when fit.

Mount will be our most important player during AFCON

Yet we still manage to concede. If we cut that out we can really focus on improving. Can never win convincingly to nil

Best half of Amorim football so far.

Could have prevented their goal, but it wouldn't be United without the obligatory personal error(s).

    Keep it up guys!

Semenyo's lunge was in anger. Whether he was right or wrong to be angry is irrelevant. His act in anger should have resulted in a straight red card.

"clearly make forceful contact by holding or grabbing the throat/neck area, or gouges the eye of an opponent or any other person"

    The law for violent conduct
Fair enough, meets the threshold if that’s it.

Eye gouges, can’t remember the last time I saw one of them on the football pitch.

I think the 4 of them can rotate really. They won't all be in form at the same time, I think Mbuemo looks a bit off it at the moment and wouldn't mind seeing Sesko come on for him in the second half.

Really enjoyable first 30 mins in particular. Amad is going to be a real loss when he heads to AFCON. His ability 1v1 is unrivalled in our squad.

Feck yes. This is a team i can get behind and be excited about. I don’t need them to succeed evey tile, but i need them to try, and with the skills these guys have in their locker i know we can be fantastic when we show up.
Best half i’ve seen fron Dalot in ages, please keep doing this!

And while we all know Casemiro would have been sent off for that incident, i’m glad he wasn’t.
Said the same just before Casemiros goal, when the ball hit Bournemouth players hand on the shot leading up to the corner ->goal

Loved Heaven on the ball, fantastic . Though while it wasn’t an easy situation, i wish he stepped in on the goal.

Now lets shut this down. We know that the moment we start falling back and defending a lead, it gets dangerous. Keep Bournemouth defending, they’re not really any good at it.

Heaven was shocking but I agree was mostly Shaw

Definitely mostly on Shaw, incredibly weak to lose the ball out there.

Heaven is young and inexperienced, they'll hopefully look at it after and he'll figure out when to engage. Collins did the exact same last week vs Spurs, waited too long to step across and Simons scored.

I think Vidic was really good at dealing with these, he used to angle his movement slightly away and then cut across the player with the ball to block the shot.

Aggressively. Casemiro held someone by the throat to keep a player away

I have no doubt that Casemiro is walking if he did what Semenyo did. The lack of consistency, and general cowardice of the officials in the PL, is infuriating.

We needed DeLigt in that situation

How this record has continued since Fergie's retirement, with all the lows and humiliations we've had at OT, is remarkable.

And, nah, I don't believe in jinxes.
Probably because we haven't been leading at OT enough for it to come under risk too often

Exactly, the level of aggression in what he did, running towards him and grabbing the throat makes it a clear red card.

It's not even those where the laws give the ref wiggle room to interpret, it literally says:

A player who is not challenging for the ball will be sent off if they:

-clearly make forceful contact by holding or grabbing the throat/neck area, or gouges the eye of an opponent or any other person

The sentence even takes away the wiggle room they could've had about "sustained holding" which is what they'll go to by separating "holding" and "grabbing"

Maybe Dalot wasn't defined as "an opponent or any other person"?

Heaven is, at a push, the fourth most culpable player for that goal

´It's like Antoine Semenyo's gone to chokehold Diogo Dalot but let go.´´

Classic Neville. He´s held his throat but it´s ok because he´s let go.
