I smoke cigarettes, drink a lot of beer and I’m poor as feck. Yet I haven’t been sick in a year and play sports almost everyday and never get injured. Albeit not on the same level as these lads of course but I play with high intensity. I just stretch a bit before I play, but these guys have recovery sessions and sports medicine and still get injured (or food positioning which is ridiculous).

Controversial opinion but if you’re injury prone or get sick easily you have no place in top level football. Sorry but we need to be able to rely on players to be available, that’s just the way it is. We don’t spend millions and millions on these players just because it’s fun. So even if it isn’t your fault, tough luck but that’s the way it is with shitty genetics. I could absolutely boot someone out of the club if they’re injured too much. I was so sick of Pogba for example being injured everytime we needed him. And I’m also sick of us signing new players and they’re out for weeks when we’re starting to build momentum.

Let’s hope this isn’t the case for Sesko and this is just bad luck, a rare occurrence.

You can't compare the physical demands of an ordinary life like ours to that of a professional footballer. Sesko probably could go out to the park this afternoon and have a good time with his mates and score a few goals, but having a good time at the park playing against guys like us comes nowhere close to the demands of a PL match.

Sportspeople who reach the very top of the most popular sport on the planet, but who have "shitty genetics".

Top stuff. Shame the post ended there as I feel like you were one or two more paragraphs away from how we should be measuring skulls before making signings.

Woah woah poindexter, easy with all the cutting edge sports science. We didn't all go to Gudger College.

5th in the table level on points with Chelsea in 4th with a win for United tomorrow

A draw up to 6th on GD and level on points with Liverpool,Sunderland,Palace

    8th place with a loss 1,3 points off 4th,5th.

I thought Bournemouth would be related after selling their defence. How wrong I was, but If we don’t beat them then we deserve nothing more than top 8 and it’s a reality check. We simply have to win.

Gutted Villa won but happy Newcastle lost, let’s hope the amount of games is catching Newcastle.

Leave Šeško alone! I consider myself to have far superior genetics to Ben, and I’ve spent the whole day dealing with vomiting and diarrhea.

"Genetics" is only a factor for smaller number of freakishly non-injury-prone players (like Bruno). Those cases are extremely rare. Honeslty I can't remember any other player like Bruno, off of my head

You will never be able to find 22 Brunos who can also play at EPL level

Most players, on average, are neither specifically injury-prone, nor like Bruno. They will get maybe 1-2 injuries a season that takes them out for 3-4 weeks.... unless they get a really bad one or two and never fully recover

One bad injury can dramatically alter your injury proneness. Which is why our medical science team needs to do a better job than just doing an EKG after a high intensity run and calling it a day

They need to look at all details of player history, analyze it, and use their brains to forecast the future. But they won't because by the time a player goes for medical, so much effort has gone into recruitement and negotiations, club doesnt want medica pouring cold water on all that work if the player can basically breath and/or walk. They want to be optimistic and act surprised when the player gets injured on our dime

I see why people are nervous about Bournemouth, they’ve had our number recently, are the type of high intensity running team we struggle against and we usually under perform when we can get a march on other teams.

But…….it has to turn around at some point and we start believing in ourselves more. Think is starts tomorrow with a 3-1 win.

We may take the piss out of Spurs etc for some of their displays this season, but we’re more than capable of losing to Bournemouth and missing out on another chance to keep our European chances alive.

Not impressed with us at home this season. We struggle to score and if we don't score early everyone panics

You beat Brighton who had a similar style and hex over you in October.

However take the African trio out and to me the Man. United 11 looks very average again especially with the injuries at the back.

Assume with Morocco starting the tournament Mazraoui will probably be unavailable but the other two will be around.

You will need Cunha to step up big time in this period if you're going to win prem games over next few weeks.

    Can see this being 2-2.

Damn, a win make us 5th, so it seems we either drawing or losing this one. I don't trust us to win.

At this point I'm assuming that the African lads aren't gonna be available. When you also factor in the injury concerns, things might be a bit dicey tomorrow. Could possible see the following:

    ..............................Zirkzee...............................
    ..........................................................................
    ................Cunha.................Mount...................
    ..........................................................................
    Dorgu.............Case........Bruno................Dalot
    ...........................................................................
    ............Shaw.........Heaven.........Yoro................
    ............................................................................
    .............................Lammens..............................

If Neither Sesko nor de Ligt are fit enough to make the squad, this is gonna result in a paper-thin bench as well.

Couldn’t agree more. Way too many overly sentimental fans imo. You‘re a professional and get paid millions, you don’t get food poisoning. Point.
These guys live different lives to us but it's still just as easy for them to get food poisioning. Probably easier actually since they're eating more exotic shit. Just bad luck but can happen to anyone.

Personally think that all 3 will stay for this match, basing this on nothing else than there being no message of the opposite.

Smoking cigarettes and drinking a lot are bad for brain health, which probably helps explain this post.

I like Maz. But we’ve got a load of defenders. We don’t have many attackers who can score and create. So really going to miss Amad and Mbeumo.
Not actually got a load of defenders right now tbf with De Ligt and Maguire out. And Maz has been our most progressive defender by far in recent times. Not as much of a miss as the other two but definitely will still hurt.
