Brighton & Hove Albion (nicknamed The Seagulls and Albion), are a professional football club based in Brighton & Hove. The club was first formed as Brighton & Hove United on 24 June 1901, and the name was quickly changed to Brighton & Hove Albion. The club took the place of a defunct club, Brighton & Hove Rover, in the Southern League In the Southern League they won their only national honour to date, the FA Charity Shield, by defeating Football League Champions Aston Villa in 1910. There had previously been Old Brightonians, representing the area in the FA Cup in the 19th Century. The club initially played at the Hove County Ground, with a few games were also at Goldstone Ground that was used by Hove F.C. From 1902 onwards, Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. and Hove F.C. shared the Gladstone Ground. In 1920, 19 years after the club was formed, they were elected to the Football League's new Third Division.

Mismanagement brought Brighton close to relegation from the Football League to the Conference which they narrowly avoided in 1997 and 1998. A boardroom takeover saved Brighton from liquidation, and following successive promotions they returned to the second tier of English football in 2002, from then on playing in the second and third tiers of English football until the conclusion of the 2016-17 season, where the club earned promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history, marking the end of a 34-year absence from the top flight. Bighton's fans consider Crystal Palace to be their biggest rivals with matches between them termed the M23 derby, and they play their home games at Falmer Stadium.

Jepp something like that. Maybe Bailly or Lindelöf for Rojo since he is just back.

Smash them, will go for our usual 4-0 in the prediction.

    De Gea
    Valencia - Bailly - Rojo - Young
    Pogba - Matic
    Mata - Rashford - Martial
    Lukaku

Basically same formation as that of Newcastle game.

Maybe, just maybe it's not a good idea to ostracize Mhkitaryan completely? Or are do we want Rashford to start there or Martial to start three games in a row?

I thought we all want Martial to start?
We do, of course. But we'll have two away games with Watford and Arsenal in a week, I would prefer to rest Martial against Brighton at home and then play him those other two from the start.

    Ugh, stream game!

I'm guessing Ibra will start this one and Martial will be back on the bench.

I want to see Mkhitaryan with Pogba back and in his best position because maybe he'll get back into form again. Anyway he's better than Lingard and Rashford can't play on the right hand side.

We'll probably score four against Brighton and be lulled into thinking we're at the races again. Far more worryingly, we have Arsenal away coming up, and is anyone confident we won't fold yet again in an away game?

Looking forward to seeing a nice bounce back and a few goals. It will nice to get some relief from the doom and gloom brigade. Shame that Bailly is injured. It would been great to see our the Rojo-Bailly partnership back. I’ve seen Brighton a couple of times and they looke fairly decent but I expect us to win easily like last week - hopefully get off to a faster start this time.

We'll think about Watford and Arsenal away and will be content to beat them 2:0. Which would be good. Watford and Arsenal cover more distance and do more sprints than United. We need to be fresh.

    I'm expecting 5-1.
Will concede one when Pogba gets off at 80th minute. No composure and control without Pogba.

Just get the 3 points and hopefully lukaku bang some goals. Martial and rashford goals are always lovely to see. Ok a clean sheet will also do. Feck just get a comprehensive win.

I don't think we'll see much different from the side that played against Newcastle really. De Gea, Valencia, Young, Matic, and Rashford will come back in from the start. Pogba, Smalling, and Lukaku will continue. The only real questions are whether Rojo is alright to start another game so soon or if Lindelof is brought back in. Then, it's two from Mata/Martial/Lingard/Mkhitaryan. Most likely the first two in that group, so could well be the same XI that faced Newcastle.

    de Gea
    Valencia Smalling Lindelof Young
    Matic Pogba
    Martial Mata Rashford
    Lukaku

Sub appearance for Ibrahimovic is guaranteed no matter what happens in the game, though I think the diamond isn't working at the moment when we bring him on. We get exposed down the flanks a bit too much, though not having him on the pitch with Pogba on the left side of that diamond is a big cause of that IMO.

Herrera or Fellaini will come in as sub and one of them will probably start rather than playing a traditional no.10 against Watford.

Reckon we will get a big win here really if we start well.
