Brighton & Hove Albion (nicknamed The Seagulls and Albion) are a professional football club based in Brighton & Hove. The club was first formed as Brighton & Hove United on 24 June 1901, and the name was quickly changed to Brighton & Hove Albion. The club took the place of a defunct club, Brighton & Hove Rover, in the Southern League In the Southern League they won their only national honour to date, the FA Charity Shield, by defeating Football League Champions Aston Villa in 1910. There had previously been Old Brightonians, representing the area in the FA Cup in the 19th Century. The club initially played at the Hove County Ground, with a few games were also at Goldstone Ground that was used by Hove F.C. From 1902 onwards, Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. and Hove F.C. shared the Gladstone Ground. In 1920, 19 years after the club was formed, they were elected to the Football League's new Third Division.

Mismanagement brought Brighton close to relegation from the Football League to the Conference which they narrowly avoided in 1997 and 1998. A boardroom takeover saved Brighton from liquidation, and following successive promotions they returned to the second tier of English football in 2002, from then on playing in the second and third tiers of English football until the conclusion of the 2016-17 season, where the club earned promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history, marking the end of a 34-year absence from the top flight. Bighton's fans consider Crystal Palace to be their biggest rival with matches between them termed the M23 derby, and they play their home games at Falmer Stadium.

This is an actual test for Ole. A team that will defend with a low block and is in decent form.

Chance for a comfortable win IMO. Good that our long run of away games is over with too.

Hopefully McTominay is fit otherwise it'll be Fred and Pereira as the two in midfield.

I'd much prefer to give James a go playing behind Martial, and keeping Rashford and Greenwood wide. He tracks back well enough to help the midfield and his pace and movement could cause issues. Mctominay shouldn't be risked considering he went straight down the tunnel last night. Rojo should keep his place too, him and Harry look solid enough.

Another team we will potentially struggle against. Hopefully we can kick on from yesterday's performance.

If McTominay doesn't recover, it will be very difficult. Garner is too raw and Fred is too inconsistent. We simply don't have many alternatives

I am guessing Perreira will start there

Brighton is a strong attacking side under Potter, but they can also be a bit open in defense. I hope we can grind out a win.

We have to stick with Mata at number 10, it’s a home game against Brighton. He is past his best but even a few fleeting moments of craft and intelligence is more then what workhorses Lingard and Andreas bring to the table.

AWB doesn't venture too far forward so will provide cover and James will drop deep when needed. When defending it wouldn't be them too alone

Pereira did a lot more against Liverpool than Mata would have done. He's a better option for league games

Back to reality with a bump, here. Exactly the team we'll struggle against. Rigid banks of four and a slight goal threat.

SUBS - Garner (McTominay - INJURED), Jones (Maguire - INJURED), Greenwood (Pereira).

    Man United 1 - 1 Brighton
    Rashford (penalty)

For me - if we can't produce a good performance here, I'm in the 'Ole out' club - despite defending him for months. Excuses are running out.

This will be similar to the Bournemouth match, with the same players available, we need to see improvement on whatever plan he tried to implement. It's on the back of a good result and all our strikers got goals. Going into the international break with a win, hopefully get Pogba back, get our key players some rest and then a good run up to Christmas could put us in a decent position and save his job.

This'll be a proper mid-table clash and should be a close fight with either team winning by 1 goal...or even a draw.

Hoping for a win but honestly don’t know what to expect as these are the sort of games we have a tendency to drop points in. Play like we did in the 1st half last night and we should win although it’s much easier said than done with this Utd team. I’d only make 3 changes from last night and go for an attacking 4-4-2.
