Touché ahaha
Conversely, when we are 3-0 up at home against a flailing brighton side, I don't know what other opportunity would be better for a young player to make their mark.
I guess its different times now
Agree with all that. Would like Mainoo to get a loan but the others are surplus and no reasonable offer should be refused.Guys like Ugarte and Dorgu are just not at the baseline good enough to play for this football club. Mainoo’s in that weird flux of being a bit bitter about not getting to go on loan and not really fitting the system so it’s an awkward one with him. Zirkzee whilst being technically tidy is just not up to the speed of the league.
Nah, I don't see it. He did a nice little nutmeg on the edge of their box, but then he's sooooo slow to play the pass that he gets dispossessed. Sums up his game. There’s a useful player there in Zirkzee
I keed, I keed!
Again, this isn't true.Taylor is a terrible ref and it's neither a foul or a yellow for me.
But if he's giving a foul for a last man tackle outside the box there, then it should be a red card, whether he makes a genuine attempt to play the ball or not.
Yeah, this is it. He gave him the eyes, fair enough, but he didn't swing his arm towards the player's head, just kinda barred his chestSame thing happened all the time with Fellaini (fouls more than yellows) for just standing and being tall while shorter players walked into his elbows. Sesko’s arm caught the player but only because the player ducked and ran into it, so agree with you.
Again, this isn't true.
It's whether it denies a clear goal scoring chance. When the player has massively over run it, it's not DOSGO and thus not red.
There's 4 factors
1)Distance to goal
2)Direction of play
3)Likelihood of the attacker getting the ball
4)Number and position of other defenders
Today - number 3 was no chance of getting the ball, thus not DOGSO. It was technically still a foul (in the ref's opinion) - thus yellow.
Us v Brentford - Mbeumo WOULD have reached the ball, thus it was DOGSO - so no red given was a mistake and was admitted as such
Brentford's manager has just been interviewed saying the reason was explained and he accepted it.
Sky just covered it as well.
It's surprising people still don't understand the rules.
Now you're spot on - but it looked pretty clear their fella had massively overrun it and was bloody lucky to get the foul anyway.I only saw one replay, and wasn't sure if got he could have got the ball or not. Yellow is probably the right call if he gives the foul.
For me, Taylor is a terrible ref and it's neither a foul or a yellow for me.
I second this motionI don’t mind the occasional change, but my main issue is that Amorim completely reshaped our back line, changing 3 out of 5 positions.
Dalot ended up at RWB, with Heaven at LCB and Dorgu at LWB - that’s enough to unsettle any team. In my opinion, he really needs to stop doing that.
This. We used to do this all the time during Fergie's reign.Signing Prem league quality players really shows….
Mount injuredI expected Zirkzee and Mount to come on, actually.
Mount injured![]()
Had a knock in training so probably didn’t want to risk it.He was on the bench.
Seems I was right after all.The only alternative is Dalot, so…
Yes, credit when it’s due.Seems I was right after all.
Do you understand acceleration maybe? Harry Maguire can clock a high speed over long distance. Pressing is about dynamism and change of direction."Benjamin Sesko has a top speed of approximately 35.7 km/h, making him one of the fastest players in the Bundesliga. Despite his large frame (1.95m / 6ft 5in), he is considered deceptively quick, and his pace is a key part of his attacking game. His speed has been measured at 35.7 km/h and he was ranked among the fastest attackers in the league.
Top Speed: ~35.7 km/h (22.18 mph)
Bundesliga Ranking: Among the fastest attacking players in the Bundesliga, and ranked 26th out of 492 players in the 2024-2025 season
Key Attribute: Described as having explosive pace, which he uses to burst past defenders"
