Heaton played a blinder, The Burnley defense was inspired. Sometimes you just have to shake your head and tip your hat to the opponent.
No, feck off how many times have we said that this season already? For feck's sake it is 10 game into the season and we've had to say that multiple times. This shouldn't be happening this often.

First bit of sanity I've seen in this thread.

One of those days. We used to have them under SAF as well.
I was pretty happy with the performance.

Bad day at the office, in front of goal but that was a brilliant match. We looked devastating at times. Pogba was immense. Ibra had a nightmare as far as finishing but I thought he was instrumental in our attacking play. Apart from the finishing I can't fault the lads. They gave everything only to come up against a freakishly good goalkeeping performance and, possibly, the worst refereeing performance you're likely to see, for a long long time. Clattenburg should face sanctions after that.

Sums up the modern United fan, this...
This ...and the other spoilt comments. Words like "disgrace" being banded about or those blaming individuals or the manager.

It was one of those days. If they'd spent any length of time actually watching football instead of wetting themselves over transfer speculation and new replica kits, they'd be familiar with the concept.

We played brilliantly. Bad luck, poor finishing, great goalkeeping and terrible refereeing cost us this match but on the whole it was very entertaining play.

8 points off top, 3 points from 12, 1 goal in 4 games, our best defender injured for two months, our star striker couldnt hit a cows ass with a banjo, Jose constantly changing the team and Rooney is still shit. No way we are finishing in top four as far as I'm concerned. Today just epitomized why we are not quite good enough despite Heaton having a blinder it is apparent we don't score enough goals and have too many players being used out of favored position just to accommodate others.

Been one of Zlatan's big fans for years now but wow, really wish he wasn't playing. Can't even count the number of points he has cost us already.

That's the spirit! Nothing to be ashamed about this performance.

Concentrate on winning the E.L, IMO it will be our best chance to play in the C.L. I don't think we will be top four this season.

Yep. Don't get me wrong. It was incredibly frustrating, at times but that was a world away from the dross we've been served up for the last few years. That was like watching United under Fergie, albeit a disappointing result.

    rare commodity here...

Just one of those games could have been a basketball score. Mata was inspired, Pogba and Ibra had some very good interplay. Ibra played some lovely one twos and created some great chances. Did we hit the post more than once?

If we play like that consistently the chances will go in and we will be well on our way even if the reff tries his best to deny us a result via a

Should have sent in Carrick and Young instead of Rooney and Depay.
Both of them were useless, especialy Depay who did not have any significant contribution.

Rooney should have scored you can't be blaming Jose for that!

Some saying already to concentrate on the Europa leauge simply to get in the CL.
feck that! If we can't be one of the best 4 teams in the Prem then we don't deserve to get our arse Kicked in that competition next year!
We really need to be doing better! We didn't play a bad game today. It was just poor, poor finishing :(
If Zlatan plays terrible and scores it's fine but if results go against us which they are then we need to switch things up a little but will Jose do this to a man with his ego?
Right now I'm thinking 4-4-2 with rashford with mata in behind, martial wide when fit

I wouldn't really credit Burnley. They got battered and another day could have lost 5 nil. The keeper and luck got them a result today.

Always bugs me when the smaller team received credit just for being the underdog.

Agree. Folk on a forum love to say "disgrace." "Pathetic" is another favourite.

If we play like that for the rest of the season I'll be very happy because the finishing and luck will improve.

Yeah it's always such fine margins. If one of our chances goes in early, they are in for a long afternoon.

I don't think they did that well at all tbh. We had so many chances, it's pure luck and performance from their keeper that we haven't got a goal. Annoying, but that's football. And really annoying that we've had two similar results (Stoke) so close together - but I'm staying positive. When it does click, some teams will be getting absolutely smashed.

I know Rooney was shit too, but how on earth isn't Ibra the lowest rated player for this match?
