If I had a dollar for everytime I read this. Literally every match day thread.

There is no indication, at all, outside of Redcafe megathreads, that Ole’s job is at imminent risk.
There’s loads of speculation about his job what are you talking about? Oleout is usually trending number 1 every time we drops points, pundits like Carragher are starting to question him and just this week Poch in the summer rumours started again.

There isn’t. Trending is irrelevant, it is just Redcafe extrapolated. The pundits ask the question yes, and even then, in a very balanced way, not in the manner in which they launched campaigns against Van Gaal and Mourinho.

Most importantly, every single noise coming from the club suggests that they fully believe in Ole’s project for the longer term. Nothing at all suggests he has a couple of games to save his job.

I'm expecting disappointment, an injury or two and a terrible, terrible game of football that sees Burnley's thugs spend 90mins hobbling us.

    -------------------------------------DDG-------------------------------------------
    AWB--------------Lindelöf----------Maguire--------------------Williams
    ---------------------Fred-----------------Matic---------------------------------
    --------------------------------Mata-------------------------------------------------
    Greenwood---------------Martial---------------------------------James

SUBS - Jones (Maguire - injured); Pereira (Mata); Lingard (Martial - injured).

    Man United 0 - 0 Burnley

We are in love with the status quo. So even if it's a loss or even if the next 5 games are, Ole, Woodward, Glazers etc. are not going anywhere, no matter how much we want changes. But we need all the 3 points we can get. This game and in as many games thereafter.

1-1. We somehow score first, park the bus in the 2nd half and concede a corner.

Pundits will always debate Man United managers who are not winning all before them... interestingly the ex United player pundits all back Ole. Whilst teh ex Liverpool player questions him as the right man.
Trending - is bollocks. Social media means nothing. We can moan all we like, baring a major disaster ole will be here next season.

We're not finishing top 4 anyway guys. Even with Rashford it would have been touch and go with Chelsea clear favs. Without him we've no chance. Our season will come down to the FA cup and most importantly the Europa league. We somehow need to stay in the Europa until Rashford, Scott n Pogba are all back plus hopefully 1 or 2 new signings (not hold my breath).

Would love it if some experts could provide me with a list over players who looks like they might need a rest so that we'll know who Ole will deliberately try to get injured next.
Lindelöf maybe? Maguire? I think Fred and Matic looks fresh though. Not sure Martial looks tired either.

Don't care about the result but I wish and hope the hardcore United fans protest inside and outside the ground calling for the Glazers and Woodward to go because they have destroyed the football club

You’re probably right but I think it will be a massive opportunity lost if we don’t get 4th, Chelsea are as inconsistent as us and Spurs/Arsenal are shite.

Not sure his job is 100% safe without top 4 with Poch around.

I would surprised if we don't beat this lot, we usually bounce back fairly well.

In the spirit of all the small time United fans on here who celebrate and are proud of the character shown by only losing 2-0 to Liverpool, I think holding out for a draw and gaining a point would be a fantastic result for us. Progress.

    The United way.

Win here is absolutely crucial if we want to make it to top 4.

4-4-2 : Will suit James and Dalot.
    De Gea
    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Williams
    Matic - Fred
    Dalot ------ James
    Greenwood - Martial

Mostly Andreas will play over Dalot and Mata over Greenwood in reality

If Greenwood doesn't start we have no chance.

    James - Martial - Greenwood

Possibly bring Mata back in to create clear chances.

Also Martial always scores against Burnley so I would expect him to score.

Mata is perfect for this kind of game. Maybe this is also an opportunity to give Maguire or Lindelof a rest? Let Bailly start as others have been saying. Maybe the same goes for Wan-Bissaka and we should use Dalot to try and break them down.

    Potential starting XI:

    De Gea

    Dalot Bailly Maguire Williams

    Fred Matic

    Greenwood Mata James

    Martial

I find it crazy that, on the 1st of January we knew we only really had Fred and Matic as fit central midfielders for a large remainder of the season... yet here we are, 7 games later and we still only have Fred and Matic as fit central midfielders... I mean if that doesn't show how inept Woodward is, then nothing will.

Anyway, I guess we have to start Fred & Matic (frankly, its a miracle that neither of them have broken down yet).... Reckon the front four will be Mata, Greenwood, Andreas and Martial.

No chance he's at risk, he's doing a good job ripping the squad apart and putting us on a path that will reap rewards in the future. I've never seen so much crap on the caf about a manager.

There’s talk again today about Poch in the summer.

Ole isn’t doing a job nobody else can do, what selling Lukaku and Sanchez is keeping him in the job? It’s not rocket science that a capable manager can see the likes of Lingard etc aren’t good enough.

Stop calling him inept. Inept would suggest he wants to sign players but can't make it happen - he is the opposite of inept, he wants to save the owners money = doesn't want to sign players if possible. He's doing a brilliant job, far from inept.

This with Williams in for Shaw, he looked completely dead on his feet at Anfield.

Lindelöf is ill and will probably not play. So who is partnering Maguire? Shaw at cb? Bailly? Ffs not at least Jones.

    Hopefully something like this:

    DDG
    AWB Bailly Maguire Williams
    Matic Fred Pereira
    Mata Greenwood Martial

    3-0 United (Martial, Greenwood x2)

Oh it's only a matter of time before one of them or both get injured and everyone knows this, Fred is being run to the ground Rashford style and Matic is 31 and not capable of playing 2 games a week for long.

You’re Implying we’ve made strides? We’re worse now than under Jose in his worst season.

Squad so thin it’s almost laughable. People are fast to praise Ole's signings when in reality they’ve been pretty average whilst Lukaku and Smalling are having great seasons in Italy.

Why would we want Poch? He’s a proven manager capable of challenging without a transfer budget.

We're better than under Jose by some distance in terms of attitude, performances, style of play. The one issue is results and table position and I hope the signs of growth I can see will lead to the top 4. It is difficult this season with all the injuries though.

Ole's brave, he's shipped out dead wood and players that don't suit United. I'm not gonna start berating him when he's at the beginning of a huge build job.

Those 2-2 draws, I think they were 2-0 up in both games.
    Correct.

December 2017 needed a 91st minute Lingard goal to grab a draw.

2-2 draw on January 2019 Burnley led 2-0. Pogba penalty on 87 minutes and Lindelof made it 2-2 on 92 minutes. If I recall right it was the first league points dropped under Ole.

Ladies and gentlemen, please be upstanding for Mr Phil Jones!

Jones might actually do better against these thugs than that soft non-entity, Lindelöf. Jones is at least quite physical and slightly better in the air.

    0-0 still my prediction.
