Chelsea Football Club (also known as The Blues and The Pensioners) are a professional football club based in Fulham, London. Chelsea were founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher's Hook) after Gus Mears had previously acquired the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football ground. Since there was already a team named Fulham in the borough, the name of the adjacent borough, the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea, was settled on.

Chelsea's first major title success came in the form of the League Cup with the appointment of former Arsenal player, Ted Drake, who also led Chelsea to the their first ever League title, enabling them to compete in the European Cup, but after objections from The Football League and the FA, Chelsea were persuaded to withdraw from the competition before it started - allowing Matt Busby's Manchester United to start their illustrious adventure with the competition.

After decades of being non-competitors, Chelsea returned to the domestic title fore in 2003 under new owner Roman Abramovich, who fueled an unprecedented spending spree - starting in the mid 2000s. Since the takeover, Chelsea have won 1 Champions League title, 5 Premier League titles, 4 FA Cup titles, 1 Europa League title, and 3 League Cup titles, among others. Chelsea's most prominent rivalries include local clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, title rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Leeds United. Chelsea play their home games at Stamford Bridge - which had been their home for over a century.

Matic looked dead on his feet, with Herrera out can't see too many changes.

I just want us to beat that cnut Conte somehow.

Please. Our best game vs a top 6 team under Jose was last season vs Chelsea at home. That time he benched the big striker and had a go at them with pace and movement.

Can’t wait for this one! The fact we have only scored against Yeovil and Huddersfield in last 6 games doesn’t bode well and we will no doubt be down to 3rd by kickoff.
I’ve just lost any confidence in us whatsoever, thank feck for De Gea that’s all I can say. Can’t see us getting more than a draw now Herrera is not available to chase Hazard all over OT. Fear these final few months will be a slog. Team just looks lost and Sanchez very frustrated with having to do everything himself, he thought Arsenal were bad...at least they still attacked well and with speed.

Lingard starting this is the only reason I can think of why he didn't play tonight as Mata shouldn't be starting over him.

This match is about the 2 managers ego's so they might go for it, but it's just as likely that both bore's wont want to lose and thus we'll get a dreary stalemate.

Must win game but I think it'll be a draw with our current form being too up and down. It's a match up between two boring teams and two defensive managers so be prepared for the buses to come out. There's a lot at stake and I don't think that either team will take the risks needed to win. 0-0

We absolutely need to win this game and try and get some momentum going. Pogba has to play, this isn't the time for another lesson. Let's get the win and try to cement top four.

I'm not going to watch that games, I don't care if we lost or win games cos I can't stand thought of watching Jose's game.

Don't even think a draw is a good enough result.
Nope. No doubt Liverpool will capitalize on that. Liverpools next two games are at home to West Ham and Newcastle. Spurs are right on our tails too. We're fecking around

Lose this one and considering Pogba debacle it will most likely snowball from here.

    What Pogba debacle?
In terms of it is highly unlikely that we'll see him return to his best under Jose, and I can't see us making top 4 without him performing well from here till the end of the season. Considering he's our record signing too, you can definitely call that a debacle. Also, don't underestimate the dressing room power nowadays, few more bad results and it may turn ugly real quick.

    Carrick
    Pogba - Matic
    Lingard - Sanchez - Martial

One can dream, right? Bailly probably not quite ready yet but if fit then obviously goes in, for Smalling preferably. Realistically speaking though it'll be Young for Shaw, McTominay instead of Carrick, Lukaku for Rashford or Martial. Mourinho needs a win. He needs a win here, and a good performance and probably a win at home to Liverpool, and a win home to Sevilla. Otherwise I'll have this season is a failure. Top 4 with a tumescent big game record does not make it a good season. Big game record needs to improve and performances in them, starting here. There's no more allowance for mediocre performances in them. No excuses. Simply has to put in a good performance.
