Very fortunate to be playing a Chelsea team low on belief. They've cut us open like a hot knife through butter at times. Our decision making in the final third has been questionable too. However, we've got it right twice and are 2-0 up. Lucky.

We're lucky to be winning this by two goals.
Chelsea have opened our defence many a time.
I'll take this today and even the cup final.
Don't care how we play as long as we win and I'm good with that until we get some new additions for Eth

pretty dire defensively, Chelsea could have had four. Halaand would have had a hat trick.
I know everyone was saying Chelsea have been poor but I had no idea how poor... they've made martial look deadly - and he's been in his usual donkey mode.

Can't put my finger on what's wrong defensively... possibly AWB but midfield leaving gaps too. wouldn't be surprised to see McT come on.

Bruno and Case have been the difference with Eriksen not bad. I thought Antony was causing them problems even if the end result wasn't good. he was running up them, making them fall back and panic.

Rashford has been anonymous since he came on and this really must be the end for Martial. Do hope garnacho gets some game time if we get a quick third after half time. but surely chelsea can be as bad second half... Arsenal must be peeing themselves laughing looking at Mudryk

Someone explain to me how it wasn't a penalty for the foul on Bruno...

Casemiro better going forward than defending (he's sliding constantly in an attempt to break up Chelsea attacks and making hem even more dangerous), furthers the argument against someone like Mount and for someone like Rabiot alongside him.
Yeah he should be sitting deep, and needs an partner with a good engine.

Important that we don't let them in the game and make it close. Would love a third here, maybe from Rashy to get his 30th?

Chelsea knock the ball around well whilst being dreadful in the final third and not much better defensively.

We have been shoddy though, but who cares, CL qualification all that matters.

Anybod not thinking a new number 8 is a priority must be mad though. Matic had more in his legs than Eriksen and he was getting slated. I know he still has that pass and technique in him, but he looks near doe to me. Liability defensively, good players are strolling past him, his reactions are that bit too slow that he gets caught in possesion ad he cant go past anybody. Take Casemeiro out of the side and our midfield is bypassed so so easily.

Sod all this "we need a deep lying playmaker".....we seriously need a quality box to box midfielder....still wishing it was ENzo, as crap as Chelsea have been, you can see his quality
Yep. Enzo has world class potential. He’s running the game. Need someone similar in there for us.

I don’t think we should take Chelsea’s missed chances as dominating the game. We have been a better pass or touch away from getting a couple more goals ourselves, and at least our players can actually score.

C`mon, he played a nice pass to Bruno who couldn`t control it.
He passed to Martial in a good position who slipped when receiving it. Jadon is having a decent game imo
This. Reminding me of Dortmund Sancho. Obviously fecked up the prior attack but other than that he has been very positive so far. Case on a different level. Shady defense makes me nervous for the second half.

I'd honestly hook Eriksen at half time. Watching that team is making me wish for Scott McTominay, and that should never be a sentence.

What do you mean? Almost every winger ever is better on one wing.
I mean that he plays differently. He approaches the game in a totally different way. For Dortmund, I always felt that he was more direct on the left while acting as a more controlled playmaker on the right that distinction shouldn't be dictated by the wing.

In the first half, Enzo Fernandez made more passes than all of our midfielders combined.

highlights of the first half don't shine well for united as chelsea had some really good chances to score .....Lindelof got caught out multiple times as did AWB

Their missed chances plus their clear superiority in possession is why we're saying they outplayed us.

Their finishing was absolute shite, thankfully. This happens in football.

Most of us agree that despite our 2-0 lead that we've been less than brilliant in attack. Will anyone here argue that responsibility for our poor play overall in the final third lies primarily with De Gea? That De Gea is the reason we're woeful in the final third inevitably becomes a talking point on his player performance thread.

He's still made some mistakes but I'd say this is the best Sancho has looked for Utd to this point. He's been very heavily involved in all of our attacks even if he didn't get the pass right every time. Hoping to see more of this, especially since it looks like he'll be playing in the final.

I’d actually play Casemiro, Fred, McTominay and Bruno out wide in FA Cup final. Just hopefully stifle City as that’s the only way we don’t get twatted in my opinion.

Eriksen is a liability for me and looks well off the pace since coming back from injury - and yes I know he assisted Casemiro but teams cut through our midfield like a hot knife through butter.

Luckily for us Chelsea couldn’t hit a cows ass with a banjo.

Terrible performance in the first half. Only Casemiro has been ok even with some bad sliding tackles.

Yeah they haven't dominated. We've both been bad defensively and have both created some good chances. We scored two of ours

On a serious note, Sancho has consistently been better on the right. It makes no sense how he plays so differently from one wing to the other.
Totally agree he acts as winger playmaker and gives the ball away less than Eriksen and Bruno, we need to see out 25/30 minutes and then get McTominay and Fred on just to tighten up the midfield which is poor right now, far too many spaces in our midfield right now. Your also starting to see how much the team misses Lysandro Martinez with how he drags the defence higher up the pitch and works better with Casemiro. Rashford is half fit, Martial is half the player he used to be and United need half a team in the summer added to the squad. At least 5/6 new elite players are needed for this squad I’d go as far as say 8?
