    Champions League footy

Okay it's just a qualifier, but still.

    ---------------- Romero
    Darmian - Smalling - Blind - Shaw
    ------ Schneiderlin - Schweinsteiger
    Mata ---------- Herrera ---------- Memphis
    ---------------- Rooney

    Hoping for this.

They won 2-1 tonight, I followed the game out of interest.

And they struggled to the result from the limited info I had.

I'm hoping we fire a few goals past them to be honest. No reason why we can't.

Crucial we get a win here, the away game could be feisty.

    Think we'll rotate a bit.
    Romero
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Blind
    Schweinsteiger
    Schneiderlin Herrera
    Januzaj Rooney Memphis

Though obviously, I'd prefer Darmian to stay in the team, same with Shaw and Mata probably. But I think we'll rotate and Januzaj will keep his spot because he scored.

    Memphis ----------- Januzaj
    Fellaini----Herrera
    Schweinsteiger
    Shaw Blind Smalling Darmian
    Romero
Bit if rotation, but I expect the back four to stay as it is.

Interesting line up. I would put Carrick in front of the back four rather that Scheweini. I would love to see Mata in there too.

The team LvG will put out will be:

    Romero
    Darmian-Smalling-Blind-Shaw
    Schweinsteiger
    Herrera-Fellaini
    Januzaj-Rooney-Young

    I'm not kidding.

Think we'll see some rotation. Bastian will start imo, and Fellaini will come on off bench about 60 min in.

I'd drop Rooney after tonight and give Hernandez a chance. Might light a fire up Rooneys arse and Hernandez can't do any worse than Rooney has been doing lately.

Think we will see the return of Hernandez and Fellaini, Valencia will probably get a game as well.

Should be a banker home win

Most games against teams like this in the cl under Fergie were fun affairs with a few goals

    1-0 deflection off rooneys arse

We'll barely rotate and rightly so. I expect the same team we've seen so far with Bastian coming in for Carrick. Young might get another run out in place of Memphis or Adnan.

Europe is where I expect us to reap the full benefits of van Gaalism. The slower more deliberate pace won't look out of place. Too many times I've seen us caught out in Europe by talented yet underrated teams because we let them have too much of the play. I don't expect that to happen under Louis.

Hernandez up front on his own? That will not end well I assure you.
Play Mata in behind him and he should do well there. As long as he's not isolated and has someone who can find his runs, he should get goals.

Considering the teams lack of goals I'd hope LVG would follow the lines of...you score you keep your place. Until the football get a bit better then the usual philosophy can take over.

    Januzaj to start please!
