Ah I see. Sorry. Saturday I think. I guess you have a point.
Edit: You're right. It is Sunday. Oddschecker have it as a Saturday fixture. They're wrong.
Edit: I think. I'm confused. Palace's website is selling tickets for a Saturday kick-off. http://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/article/tickets-crystal-palace-v-watford-fa-cup-semi-final-3047718.aspx
    Heck now I'm confused lol

Watford is selling tickets for a Sunday kickoff...
    http://mobile.watfordfc.com//news/a...atford-fc-crystal-palace-wembley-3014053.aspx

ETA: They can't have 2 Wembley semifinals on the same day though.

ETA2: Whoever makes Palace's website can't read a calendar. Saturday is the 23rd, not the 24th.

if MUFC put in that same performance, palace will have a field day attacking us. Just look at some of the villa player reactions after the game. Some basically saying it was finally a relief to get the dread of relegation out of the way. They couldn't give a feck about losing to MUFC and they almost nicked a point. Worryingly, if palace go out their to try and win, i can see the game going deep into 70-80 mins at 0-0 with all the best chances coming from palace. There has to be serious tactical changes.

This fixture at the first half of the season was an utter borefest...don't expect much more than that again.

After relieving pressure on himself against West Ham and Villa with narrow wins history would suggest we draw/lose to Palace, but then Van Gaal hangs on by beating Everton.

It really is a load of bollocks isn't it? Pathetic indeed.
If there is one thing that annoys me more than anything about this whole Sky Sports/BT Sports thing, apart from them stealing all the best sporting events from free to air TV (particularly cricket, boxing & F1), it's that despite the multitude of channels available, they do not show every match.

What's the big deal about it being midweek anyway? They often show 2 matches at the same time on a Sunday. I think that that the last 2 United games clashed with other games on a Sunday and they showed both matches.

Pardew has already made comments suggesting the team will be different from the one this weekend as he wants to give a lot of players a crack at getting into his team for the fa cup this weekend. We should be beating a weakened Palace side but its still a trickier game than Villa on paper and we hardly smashed them. I can imagine this playing out exactly how their game with Arsenal played out 1-1, or maybe 1-0 as de gea would have saved that Bolasie effort.

Meanwhile in China we can get every single game in the Premier League live for around 50 euro a year. BT and Sky were starting to drive me up the wall before I left.

Looks like a 0-0 all day long this.

Palace have kept clean sheets in their last two, we don't score many and have our minds on the FA Cup and Palace will come to play for a draw which will put them on the magical 40 point mark

You do wonder what kind of semi-final we're going to get on Saturday evening once United and Everton have busted their guts trying to release some pressure on their managers in midweek.

Our quality at the new Wembley has always been less than stellar so I imagine Lineker and co on their half-time break laying into both sides for their lethargy and lack of ideas.

Palace are going to run us ragged, I feel, Liverpool will do likewise to Everton.

Four consecutive nights of Sky football, just before the FA Cup semi's?

Of course they're not trying to show BT and the BBC who still rules the footballing roost.

    Perish the thought.

One point people may not realise is that Crystal Palace is playing the other semi final on Sunday. So they won't necessarily go for the kill.
They also aren't mathematically clear of relegation are they? Its not going to be a walk in the park for us thats for sure. We haven't had a game that like in God knows how long.

No, they're 9 points clear of Sunderland who have a game in hand. If Sunderland and Newcastle both win their game in hand Palace will be 8 points clear of both Newcastle and Norwich with 12 points left to go. They've got us, Newcastle and Southampton left away and Stoke at home. Basically not losing against Newcastle will definitely do it because the other teams all have tough games left.

Didn't Arsenal score on Sunday then ? I think you'll find that they did.

I'm actually looking very much forward to this game. Rashford and Martial together have really made me snap out of the usual state of apathy I find myself in during United games.

nothing to play for, players out, all to play for fa cup semi final weekend. even with all of that... i wouldn't be surprised if they came to us tomorrow as game raising cnuts and knicked a last minute 1-1 draw

Of all places, I met a Palace supporter in Yosemite over the weekend. He wasn't confident of beating United at OT in a midweek game.

We know about game-raising cnuts, but I really don't think this is an occasion for it.

We'll get the win over Palace, but we can ride a winning streak through the end of the season? There's no evidence to suggest we can.

A chance to go 2 points behind City, we must capitalise on this opportunity.

Palace are safe and they're not playing for anything in the league. They will surely have one eye on the FA semi-final so I think this is a good match for us. They also will be missing Bolasie, Ledley & Dann. I expect nothing less than 3 points and it will be a travesty if we fail to win.

Rest Blind and Rashford. 2-0 United.

Palace having an FA cup match on the weekend, as well as Everton/Liverpool happening tomorrow (with Martinez under some pressure) should help us a lot for both ties. The fixtures working out like this "should" be used to our advantage.

Palace have nothing to play for in the League, nothing other than a comfortable win will do.
